We checked in to Hotel Vermont on a Sunday for an overnight stay. The lobby and accompanying seating area & fireplace screamed Modern Vermont. Check in was smooth and simple. We went back to our car which we parked in the public garage attached to the hotel and moved out of temporary parking and got our bags. It was nice to be able to go in and out of the garage all day without stopping every time. I don't have any pictures of the room, but they were very nice and at the same time pretty small. The bed was a 5 out of 5 with great mattress, pillows and sheets. I would have liked a little more counter space in the wash room area which was separate from the toilet area. Coffee bars on each floor was a great idea as we were able to get going slowly in the morning while enjoying a complimentary Coffee. The fresh fruits (apples) were rotten, so watch out for that. Loves that they had a bar onsite and we enjoyed some beverages there. Price was a little high for what you get, but I would stay there again.

25th anniversary trip, last stop. Against tough competition (OTL in Sherbrooke, Fairmont in Montreal) HV had the BEST accommodation. Very clever room layout. Clean. Quiet. The Swedes call it "Lagom". Don't change a thing, it's already perfect. (Automated batista on every floor? *Genius*

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Vermont. Nice room, great dinner, excellent staff all around. It was the first time I was at a hotel that had a coffee bar on each floor. What a great idea. It sounds minor but it's brilliant. In the morning you don't have to make your own coffee in your room in some flimsy plastic coffee maker, and nor do you have to be fully presentable to go down to the restaurant for coffee. You just walk down the hall in your pjs, get a nicely brewed coffee with real half and half in a real mug, grab a piece of fruit or whatever they have there, and head back to your room for a leisurely morning before heading to the official breakfast downstairs. I wish every hotel had this feature. Plus, this hotel is refreshingly modern but still earthy and cozy, not playing into the cringy bed and breakfast saccharine cutesiness that is so common in Vermont.

This is a beautiful hotel with a modern yet rustic look. It's right across from the lake too. It's a great place to stay!

Juniper has delicious brunch, everyone in my party got the blueberry pancakes with bacon and loved them.

Check-in was seamless & very personable - I rang a bell in the lobby & someone (Paige, I think?) appeared in seconds. My room was ready before their stated 4 PM check-in time, so I was allowed to settle in early. I stayed in the Half Pigeon room (all of the rooms are named & have very different vibes) which was very black & white & abstract. The common areas are designed to perfection. The solarium?! Maybe my favorite room I've ever stepped into in the entire universe. There are multiple fireplaces throughout the first floor. There is a small fridge for guest-use in the bar area, as well as an ice freezer. Snacks in a snack cabinet up for grabs. Breakfast was incredible. A full spread of fruits, yogurt, housemade bread (& gluten-free bread by request), flourless quiche bites, & more. Delicious, fresh-brewed coffee & all sorts of milks to choose from. On day two, they did breakfast to-order rather than a buffet. I assume to reduce food waste. I filled out a card with my desired breakfast order & what time I'd like to eat. It appeared on a tray in the dining room exactly when I requested. This hotel is SO worth the little splurge. I'm already daydreaming about planning a trip back to Burlington to stay here again. I'll pick a different room next time to experience something new. Thank you to the Blind Tiger team for creating such a beautiful, welcoming space. I didn't know hotels could feel like this!

There are a few rooms on the main level, including a sun-drenched living room where you can read a book, play games, or visit with those you love. The food and beverage are one step ahead of you with a station for tea, another area with snacks and fresh baked cookies, a coffee bar, and sparkling and fresh water on tap. I love having sparkling water on tap! The vibe is welcoming. The continental breakfast is phenomenal with really beautiful Vermont products and keeps it light with fresh breads and fruits. Try the granola. The staff are beyond amazing and really made our experience incredible! They are available and help to meet any requests. They also know a ton about Burlington so really great resource. The staff are friendly and kind. I ordered a cheese board ahead of time and really recommend it because the presentation is beautiful and a great treat to have. I stayed here with my 11 year old son and felt like it was a great choice for us. (I think it's not a hotel for really young kids, also most rooms you access by stairs so something to consider.) We stayed in the room called "Mini Bar." WOW what an incredible room. It's a king suite with a separate living room and huge king bedroom. The living room has a lovely small fireplace. The bathroom is tiny and tucked away, with steps between it and the bedroom, but that's some of the character of a building built in the 1800's. I think they did a phenomenal job updating parts of the inn to make it functional and modern, while keeping with the original charm. Full disclosure, it's an old inn so you might hear other guests as with most bed and breakfasts. If you are sound sensitive it might not be your spot. We found it incredibly relaxing and just an amazing experience. I'm already planning my next trip back!

It was exactly what we needed after traveling so long to get there. I think they do this every Wednesday evening. Free and convenient parking!! Huge plus. Situated within walking distance to a CVS and short drive to Target and Starbucks. Another plus. After getting into our room and walking around for a while, we found glass all over the floors. I have a three year old, so this was extremely concerning to me. I told the manager and they did have someone come up and vacuum it in a timely manner and they did do a good job however this could've been much worse for us. We were there for 4 nights and I only asked one time for towels (we never asked for housekeeping service) and towels were never brought up to our room. I didn't bother calling back, but I did go to the front desk and tell them when I checked out. I forgot to mention that I had to change the sheets on the bed because I found black hairs everywhere. Someone is dropping the ball here (I'm guessing housekeeping) Pool was well-kept. I enjoyed the hot tub and the views of the trees outside. Relaxing!! Overall, I'd recommend this hotel. I do think it was extremely expensive and housekeeping should've been better, however we did come during the fall season and I'm assuming this is an expensive and busy time to come.

The AC was unbearably loud at night, like a tractor, so I decided to check the filters myself--and I was horrified. Both filters were caked in thick dust, clearly not cleaned for years! It was disgusting. I washed them in the bathtub, which clogged from the enormous amount of dust, yet the foul smell didn't improve at all. I ended up opening the window, only to be woken multiple times by the noise from the parking lot, the street, and the humid air outside. Sleeping there was a nightmare. I strongly warn anyone considering this hotel--avoid it at all costs.

As I'm waiting on a knee replacement and using a cane this type of room for me is the best The bathroom was set up perfectly with a large seat in the shower, higher toilets and grab bars in the shower and toilet. The room itself was not large therefore turning a wheelchair around could be difficult. There was a small table with 2 chairs. Both chairs had arms which would not work for someone wanting to slide from their wheelchair into a chair. My other issue was when we checked in they should have told us that there was another entrance closer to our room. We ended up walking the entire length of the hotel to find our room. Which was next to an entrance. Also the breakfast room was downstairs. There is an elevator which takes you to the lower floor. The breakfast room is a the opposite end. Overall the hotel staff was courteous and the room was clean.

The staff constantly refreshed snacks and beverages for everyone attending the conference and their snack variety was great. The conference buffet food that was provided was fine, not my favorite but I understand that they were feeding a lot of people and I'm sure had a lot of prep. I did appreciate that they offered fruit for breakfast and always had salad options for lunch. They also labeled the food items with any allergen information which was something new this year from last and I appreciated that.
