I stayed in a 3rd floor suite on June 8-11, 2025 shortly after a major renovation of all the rooms…read more I have stayed in suites in this Microtel many times previously and been very satisfied. This time it was very unsatisfactory due to changes made during the renovation. I've never seen a renovation where the rooms were made WORSE. They had removed the coffee table, a small rectangular table with two chairs where I used to eat my dinner and conduct business, and also the end table next to the couch so there was nowhere to put my purse, backpack, books, etc. They had also removed the closet area and replaced it with a few "knobs" with hangers. They had also removed a long shelf in the bathroom where I used to put my toiletries, now forcing me to leave them at the side of the sink or on the floor. Also removed any towel rods in the bathroom, again replacing them with colored "knobs" that look like something out of an IKEA showroom. I inquired at the desk if the removal of the furniture was permanent, if the table and chairs and coffee table would be put back. The clerk was not sure and said there was some furniture "on order" that had not arrived yet. She said "we don't like it either" referring to the removal of so many features from the rooms. I will not be staying in this property again unless there is furniture in the room! There is no place to sit and eat and nowhere to put many of my belongings.

I was a snob at first thinking this hotel would be not so great. My husband read reviews of this…read moreproperty and other hotels in the area. This was rated one of the highest including big chain hotels usually 3+ stars or higher. I arrived, lots of parking and lights outside. The property is pretty new in the area. Lobby bright and clean. Front desk check in was easy and friendly enough. Elevator was quick, clean and bright. Hallway signs to Rooms were marked perfectly!! Hotel hallway very clean and quiet. Rooms are large, beds firm, furnished great. Only missing a coffee maker, it has refrigerator and microwave. Nice desk, lots of drawers and storage. Plenty of comfortable pillows. Heat and ac work great. Bathroom was nice, good size tub. Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap. Good lighting throughout the room. Continental breakfast is good. Lots of choices. Coffee maker was great, needs a larger cup (my complaint). Morning front desk staff, very very pleasant and full of info. Will stay here again!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Great location: you're near the I87 ramps, gas stations, supermarkets…read more There was plenty of parking so we always found a spot near our room. There was a short wait for check in. Diamond status was acknowledged and I was given a choice of 2 beverages: water or soda. The room/bathroom was clean. There were 2 sinks in the room which was a huge plus. However there is only 1 hook in the bathroom and the bathroom is on the smaller size. The beds are also on the smaller size. Breakfast was good, large seating area with lots of tables/chairs. Good variety of food too and there were 2 waffle makers. Breakfast staff was busy refilling the food and cleaning up. They use ceramic plates/bowls and metal utensils here instead of the disposable/plastic cutlery and plates. There is a coffee/espresso machine by the front desk but it only worked 1 of the 3 days we were there.

The room itself was very nice! I did enjoy our stay there. however, the lobby was extremely busy…read moreand lot of people just milling around. I have no idea why so many folks were in the lobby. In fact, a bunch of people outside too...must have been a large group together - I think it was for a Soccer match among high schools. The reason for the low score was the noise level. When there are sports teams staying, they should all be in the same wing of the hotel. Yes, wing. There are several wings and it did not appear that they were all together. High schooler can be jerks and very loud - we had to call management on them. The breakfast was great - there was even almond milk available for us non-dairy drinkers.

This Comfort Inn is conveniently located right off the I-87 exit. It's an unusually shaped…read morebuilding, sharing space with a Perkins restaurant and a brewery. My room was large, and the bed was comfortable. It was both reasonably dark and quiet, though I could occasionally hear a sounds from occupants in nearby rooms, and also trucks on I-87, as my room overlooked the back of the hotel and faced the interstate. My check-in experience was not up to standard. When I got to the desk, a young woman walked in from an entryway behind their side of the front desk, smiled, and then immediately walked away. Seconds later, a much younger blonde gentleman came in to check me in. What was unusual about it was that all he did was take my name and then hand me my keys. He did not ask to see my ID or credit card, which might be viewed as a security/validation concern. Also, when he handed my the keys in their holder, he did not write the room number on the card, and I had to ask for the room number twice. (That also makes it tougher for checking out if you don't remember to tell whoever is at the desk your room number as you drop off the keys). This guy also couldn't bother to provide me any information verbally, such as welcoming me based on my Choice Privileges status, breakfast hours, pool or gym information, etc.. It really felt like he didn't want to be there and didn't want to do more than the absolute minimum. Elevators are minimal in this hotel. Breakfast hours were printed on my card holder, luckily. The breakfast area was large, clean, and pretty well supplied. It included two waffle stations, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, hot sausage patties, and these individual flattened eggs with a yellow center dusted with pepper. If you want something a little more elaborate, you can of course go down a ramp to the Perkins restaurant, though you'll be paying for that breakfast. Nothing here was a deal-breaker in terms of my experience here, and I'd certainly stay here again.

The renovation gives it a nice modern look. We booked an accessible room. The room was large but…read morenot what would be considered accessible. The bathroom was approx. 5'x7'. The door would hit anyone standing at the sink. Not wheelchair friendly and lighting was nill. The bed looked nice but we found to be very firm. It does have a wine fridge and microwave in the room. Navigating the hotel halls can be an adventure as the signage is misleading and not all rooms are in numerical order. The Champs Gaming was ok, we had issues with machines not working but the staff was great about crediting back quickly. The on site bar was a let down the bartender though nice was inattentive and seemed to lack standard drink knowledge. Also they did not have, Jack, Knob Creek, Makers, Crown and several other spirits that I find to be generally common. The bartender just said they were out so either someone's really bad at doing their liquor order seeing these come by the case, or.... There were no empty spots visible for additional bottles to go. Gym was very nice, however, the saunas are in each respective locker room so if you're looking to relax with someone special unless they are the same sex it's not a possibility. Some pictures of the property showed a regular pool & hot tub, neither are actually at this property. There is only the mini waterpark, which looks cool but opens at 4 and closes at 9, in between loaded with kids. Perkins Restaurant is onsite, I found the food to be "eh", IMO IHOP does a better in taste & selection. The property inside as said has had a major facelift and is very well maintained even with loads of young children. Parking is decent, though more salt could be used when ice is present. The continental breakfast is pretty basic. Nothing over the top. Simple grab and go. Overall ok but probably won't be returning. Definitely good easy get-away if you have young children.

Pros: No grimness anywhere! Carpets clean in room and hallways! No dust anywhere. Bedding clean and super comfy! Eve for the pull out. The bedding were fresh and clean! Bathroom clean and towels soft. Our room was huge and did not want to leave. Pool area clean as well. Nothing gross in the water. No sliminess or residue. Oh and it was heated! Whcih was amazing on the cold day we had! Hot tub was a roaring beast that just hit perfect! Cons: When turning on the hot tub it did not work. Needed to request the front desk to turn it on. While strange I realize now that the tub does not turn off so why have it on while ithers are not there. However they were super nice and Accommodating. The only other con was breakfast. It was pretty disappointing. Not much options and the premade stuff was awful. But hey, get a bagel and some eggs and your good to go!
