It's a really nice fit for a certain type of customer, after reading dozens of reviews we booked and I went in optimistic but unsure if we would go again. Our 3 and 8 year old daughters loved the daily programming 8:30-1:30 then 5:30-8:30. We ate all of our meals separately from our children. I mostly slept in and sat by the pool while my kids were in program. Others golfed, played tennis, sailed, played pickleball, water aerobics etc. My favorite part were the evening 'booze cruises' we went on two. We also opted on for family photos which were excellent. These items as well as laundry service, alcoholic beverages and nighttime childcare was not included but when we checked out our final bill was less that I expected. My kids went rock climbing, rode a pony, went on pirate cruises, crafted and got lots of time in the water. My daughter turned 4 on the trip, which was fun and very special. The accommodations were great, small and tidy but all we needed. We spent very little time in our unit. Food was solidly good- my husband is on a strict diet. Pescatarian/vegetarian and there were so many choices for him. Bring 2x the sunscreen and bug spray you think you may need. Pack your passports- one day we went on a quick trip to Canada for lunch and some duty free shopping. The family that owns TP works here. It's been around since 1933. The staff is from all over the world. Lots of interesting and fun families from the US and beyond. We asked to change our week and hope we can get in for 2024.

The free breakfasts were delicious and the owners were great. I have to say..... the bed was VERY comfortable!! I rarely am comfortable in beds when I travel, but I just melted into this bed. The cons..... our room was tiny! You could barely walk around the bed, and there was very little room for your 'stuff'. You better like the person you're rooming with because you're basically on top of each other... also, there was a loud noise coming from below the room during the nights... I think it was coming from the restaurant. Luckily, it didn't last too long though. The blonde girl who cleans the rooms (don't know if she's related or just staff) was rude to us about needing supplies for the room. We also heard her screaming in some sort of fight with someone in one of the rooms one afternoon. Who wants to hear that when you're spending money to stay somewhere??? She had a lousy attitude.... Most of our stay was good, but we were very claustrophobic in our room. If that's not an issue for you, it's a great little place.

I actually had a room two nights but rented them each night because we didn't plan on being there the second night. The first night i was in the room probably 45 minutes and there was 3 other people there with us so I didn't pay much attention to the room. I went to the bar next door and ended up going back to some of my friends house and never slept in the room or even used the bathroom. My daughter and granddaughter stayed there though so I didn't pay for nothing. After I had checked us in Friday night I had to go to the store and grab somethings we needed and when I pulled back into the parking lot there were 3 cops there! Not sure what was going on. From the bit of information I did get it was caused by someone that causes problems frequently so I understand that to mean he must be one of the people that live there. Then my daughter told me that around 1:00 that morning she could hear screaming and banging on the furniture and walls. She said they were banging so hard and loud on the walls that the full sized bottle of shampoo that we had on the shelf in the shower fell into the bathtub. My car was parked at the bar next door until Saturday afternoon around 4:00 and when i went to get it there was two more cops there again. It was probably about whatever happened the night before but still more cops there. Even after that 2 hours later we decided to get another room for the night - long story why and it doesn't matter this is about the room. We got takeout. My granddaughter had a lot of her dinner left so i put it in the fridge and figured she could have it for lunch the next day before we left. When i grabbed the leftovers for my granddaughter around 11:00 AM just before we were getting ready to leave the entire styrofoam container was full of water that leaked in it all night from the fridge so i had to throw them away and pay for another lunch for her! All of the lights were off and everyone was sleeping but me Saturday night. I went to the bathroom and my feet stuck to the floor! It appeared to be adhesive and filth that caused a thick black line around the edges of all of the linoleum tiles. That is nasty af! Everyones feet that walked in there barefoot are all sticking to the same floor! Gross! I took some hot water on a wash cloth with some shampoo because thats all i had for soap and scrubbed an edge of one of the tiles and i took before and after pics and emailed it to the email on their website so they could see the difference! There was no way that floor was that filthy from us being there for a couple of hours! Then the light switch covers were so disgusting I had to clean them too but i also took before and after pics of them too. It took me 30 seconds to clean them. They were so dirty and I Couldn't control myself- I had to clean them. If I had stuff to actually clean with there I would have scrubbed the whole bathroom. The telephone was also really dirty. I am glad I didn't have to use it. I honestly wasn't going to even give them a bad review even after all of that but apparently their customer service is lacking just as much as their housekeeping skills are so I thought I would warn everyone what they are in for if you are staying there! I already knew going in there is wasn't a 5-star hotel but I expect that my feet wont stick to the bathroom floor! The rate should have been a lot cheaper for that dump!

Great for groups, with room for lots of friends! Stayed in the "Green Room" as a group of 3, and was almost late to the wedding we were up there for because we were too busy enjoying and exploring Isle la Motte. Gorgeous wildflower gardens in the front, with yard games and a hammock (and a vegetable garden!) in the back. Breakfast both mornings we were there was a wide spread of toasts, juices, eggs, cereals, fruits, and yogurts...and don't forget the homemade muffins! Yum. The laid back vibe, informative hostess and literature, and the picturesque setting all worked together to create a wonderful weekend, the likes of which we will be reminiscing about for years to come. Hopefully, it's not years before we are able to come back to visit Carol and her fantastic place! Go: if you want a fun, relaxing visit full of nature/history exploration, personal connection, and conversation. Don't go: if you need color TV, hustle and bustle, or are looking for a traditional hotel experience. This is NOT that! ...And I couldn't be more pleased about it. If you have a large group there is an old classroom that has been converted into group lodging. There are huge old chalkboards left over that you can write on and a large collection of books and games to pass the time. The kids love this space. If you want more privacy for a couple or small family there is the green room with its own entrance and en suite bathroom. There were lots of options for breakfast including baked goods that Carol makes herself. The kitchen and refrigerators are available for preparing/storing your own meals if you wish and a huge help yourself garden outside we used to supplement our meals. And the rates are fantastic. This is the best value in the area by far! Hoping we can get up to Isle La Motte for another visit this summer.

We got there, and was very disappointed that they did not have cable hookup. My family likes to watch the news for the weather, plus i wanted to watch the last episode of Claim to fame which premiered monday. Anyways also we arrived and they put us near the lake, and we are a long trailer, and was concerned on where to park our car. So they moved us in a spot that worked. We also got a little refund as well. in the front, there is a general store, and they also sell sandwiches and coffee. On August 29th, i brought a lake champlain shirt there, and the people inside were very nice. Overall it is a small campground, and it does look like some kind of trailer park. However, it seemed pretty quiet and everyone seemed friendly that we seen. They also have a pool but did not go in the pool as it was kind of cool. Also there is not much things to do in vermont, including close by. Although we did stop by the blue paddle bistro. Don't think we'll visit vermont again, but this was a nice quiet campground.

What's better is that after driving through the RV park to get to "the range," we were told we had to wear collared shirts to hit balls six feet into a net while standing next to a parking lot. Guy on phone was nice, it's a cool looking community, but just saying the website is misleading and the adherence to some sort of country club dress code is hilarious and absurd.

I spent the most relaxing week here on Lake Champlain in cottage #1 with my daughters and my dad…read more It's cozy and had two bedrooms but sleeps 8! It has a full kitchen, pots, pans, coffee machine, anything you could need and a there's a boat ramp too! There's AC but it's really not needed, even in the summer as it's so cool here on the islands of Vermont. No tv and very little reception, but it was not missed AT ALL as we spent our days outside reading on the hammock, fishing right from the dock there, boating, playing games and drinking around the campfire. This is a wonderful place to just escape it all and relax! Right outside you'll find Adirondack chairs, a picnic table, a hammock, a grill and 2 fire pits, one complete with a grate which we used for making campfire potatoes and hotdog grilling late night! So fun! The boat ramp is gravel, so a 4x4 is preferred although it is not necessary. The water is shallow at the start so wading and swimming for even little kiddos was easy and safe. The fishing was great.... small mouth bass, yellow perch and pike. The kiddos caught something the second they casted! It's a great place for the more impatient, novice fisherman. The hosts were very sweet and accommodating. They hand delivered worms to us for fishing when the local "worm guy" was out on his boat for the day. They even brought us firewood and let us use their sit in kayaks, which my girls had a blast on! They were super helpful! They were available as needed as they live at the end of the property, but not at all in our way. There's a campground for trailers on the other side of the dock and on our side, 3 houses for rent. We peeked into cabin #2 and fell in love! I would definitely come back and rent it with just my family of four. It's rustic with wooden interiors and was so cozy! Very different aesthetically from the cottage but both serve a purpose for different needs and sized families. That cabin however only has a small fridge but still a full sized kitchen. My dad has been renting here for years and always has a wonderful time. As many times as I've been to Vermont, I have never traveled these parts, and I'm happy finally to see what I've been missing, what he's been boasting about and what I now long for when I think of a getaway! I look forward to many more visits this cottage and would recommend it for anyone looking for a sweet retreat, especially boat owners! There's no additional cleaning fee, trash is collected by owners at the end of the week and the cost is very reasonable. The entire area was absolutely lovely also. There's a general store down in the center of town that has everything you need, including gas, fresh baked goods, and that Green Mountain coffee. It's there you'll find local activities on the bulletin board as well as any periodical you may want to read. There's farms nearby and lots of places for outdoor activities.There's wineries, too. It's quiet and peaceful and the loveliest little island to just relax It's very close to the Canadian Border, easily accessibly from anywhere in New England and the Adirondacks as it's just a short trip over the Plattsburgh ferry, which if coming from the south saves you quite a bit of time! Day trips to Burlington and Stowe were also very easy from this location! A stay here was one of my favorite weeks of the summer and I look forward to it again! Wonderful area and an awesome hideaway!
