This is the least professional company I've dealt with in my life. I strongly advice against using them. They did not show up at all the day I was supposed to move (Mon 25 Feb 2013). I spent half a day just trying to get in touch with them and understand why they could not do the move I had booked with them. They kept on saying they would call me back, but they never did. Eventually I managed to reach them and they told me they could PROBABLY move me on Tue 26 Feb. I asked for a confirmation that never came. When I talked to them for the last time they said the earliest they could move me would be March 3. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We are a military family who had a move scheduled with this company. On 6/28/2013, the movers came 1 hour late and began packing up our household goods. Within 30 mins of their arrival, I received a call that my mother was rushed to the hospital so I had to leave the movers unsupervised. My husband was flying in to help with the move so he was not there at the time. When I returned back from the hospital later that evening 95% of our belongings were packed, but the price drastically changed from what was originally agreed upon. We debated with the movers who called his supervisor(who was useless) and because most of our belongings were on the truck they threatened that they would not unload or move the vehicle until an amount and additional down payment was received. My husband gave in because this is the same night that my mother passed away and we were emotionally drained!!!! The furniture arrived to IL unwrapped and damaged. Our living room set is cream and had no wrapping and had foot prints and tears on the cushions. Not one item arrived undamaged. They even threw our winter coats in the same box with our pots and pans. We filed a claim, stated in our contract in case of damages and received $114.00. This was my first experience with a moving company, and WOW was I impressed. Twins Movers were fast and the price was about the same as the other companies I called. One of the things Twins did to win my business was provide 30-days of free storage. My house was sold in a short sale, and I had not secured my new home yet, this storage option was ideal for me. They even moved my stuff from storage to my new (it took about 10 days to secure and get keys) I would recommend Twins to anyone and everyone. read more

First, I had a time frame for them to arrive at 8am. They arrived at 910am. Upon their arrival the fat delivery guy stated the elevators were small. (Basically a cop out to not do any work). Next when they arrived in my home they gave me a qutoe of 200 dollars more than the agreed upon price. The rude fat delivery guy then tells me (to take it or Leave it). I told him to get the hell otu of my house. Its no way they were gonna show up an hour and a half late then be rude and overcharge. The shady moving business practices have to stop some where. This is what happens when you give ignorant people of color and children a chance to act professional. The true criminal aspect of the business comes out. Never trust a moving company where the drivers are allowed to park an official vehicle of business out side the fox club apartments on Marlboro Pike. When I called in to make my moving appointment, I was advised that I would receive 2 men and the price would cost me $316.00. This price included wrapping my furniture, pictures, etc. I was also advised that this price was included for 4 hours and that the men would arrive at my property at 10:00am that morning. On November 16, 2012, I received a phone call that the guys were at my property at 8:00am. I immediately advise the individual on the phone that my appointment was not until 10:00am. The foreman ask me at that time, "Can you come now?" I felt this was extremely unprofessional however; I needed my furniture moved so I decided to meet the foreman at my old address: 4305 Midtown Square Apt# 5037 Camp Springs, MD. 20746. Once the foreman came into my apartment he started gauging the prices. He stated to waps certain furnitures and pictures, it would cost me additional money. I advised him that when I made the appointment I was told that for $316.00 you guys would move a 1 bedroom (968 square footage) in less than 4 hours. He advise me that this was incorrect information that I was told. This company is filled with crooks. You advertise one price and then on moving date you added $150.00 additional to the price. I was told that to move my pictures it would cost me an additional $35.00 per picture. The one picture that I want them to move they never moved however; they charged me for the picture. In addition, they charged me seperately for gas and mileage and this was all located under the previous price of $316.00. I called the company back and told them that they never moved the picture over my fireplace from the old apartment. In addition, I advise the individual that you have already deducted the funds off my credit card. He said he would call me back and never did. The company also broke my furniture down so that they could get it in the apartment and then told me once they brought it to my new apartment that they would not put my furniture together. Can you believe these people? You took my furniture apart and didn't even want to put it back together. Once I started complaining that this is ridiculous and I will see you in court; then all of sudden, I was told my furniture will be placed back together if I give them a monetary tip. This company is the absolute worst moving company I have ever encountered and I will never use them again. In addition, I will advise all of my friends and family of their criminal activities. There should be a law against gauging prices in the State of Maryland and I will make sure that I write my Senator with regards to this company and this issue. My desired request would be an apology for the unprofessionalism and the gauging of prices, not wanting to put my furniture back together, the nastyness of the foreman, and most importantly, THE MISREPRESENTATION OF COST THAT IS ADVERTISED. rude and no customer service !! i used twin movers on sept 30 , i noticed that day they put a small hole in my wall from moving my couch and also scratched my couch. i called later that day and now its oct 11 and have not heard back from them. i talked to numerous people and explained the hole is not big i just want it fixed. as i stated have not heard back. i would not recommend them to anyone !!!!! read more

HORRIBLE! I didn't even want to give them one star. I used this company last June with a groupon. Everything was booked and I followed up with them closer to the move and it all seemed fine. On the day of the move the sketchiness began. No one showed up and as I called the company Isaac was throwing excuses at me about the trucks breaking down and it's around the corner and then the truck was lost and blah blah blah. Finally he made me reschedule for the next morning (after wasting my entire day and did I mention that it was the last day of my lease). The next morning there were more excuses and they finally showed up about 2-3 hours later than expected. I was so thankful they showed up finally because I was in a crunch but the movers were very inexperienced and unprofessional. They charged me unforeseen amounts for "blankets and wrapping furniture" and they left the dirty blankets on my couches in the storage facility. Not to mention they wasted time wrapping furniture that was unnecessary. Due to their lack of experience, one of the movers clumsily stacked my belongings on the storage cart causing it all to tumble and my brand new TV stand fell and crashed on the concrete. This is the first review I've ever written because I'm so furious. I am moving from Washington, D.C. to Atlanta, GA and was given a quote for the move via phone and e-mail. I then paid an extra $176.40 for a "straight delivery." The company first told me they could pick the items up in D.C. on Thursday, January 30 and have everything delivered to me in Atlanta on Friday, January 31. I then received a call that they needed to pick up everything on Tuesday, January 28. I then got everything ready to go and met the guys outside at 8:30am on the 28th. As we are going over the paperwork, Eli tells me they cannot guarantee my items in Atlanta by Friday, January 31. Instead, they said they can guarantee my items to me in Atlanta by Wednesday, February 5. After showing them my confirmation e-mail of my delivery date in Atlanta, they called their manager. I spoke with Isaac, (the manager) and asked him why they offered a "straight delivery" if they cannot guarantee the items by a certain date. He told me he wasn't sure where Alicia (the woman I spoke with and confirmed via e-mail) came up with that number. I am currently sitting in my living room writing this review while I wait for another phone call from Isaac. I've truly never been so furious about a move in my life. First this is GOOD MOVERS! They go under the same parent company so don't be mislead. I wanted to give them a better rating I really did. I really should give them 1 stars actually smh. The customer service was superb in the beginning totally won me over, but I guess that is what is suppose to happen. The workers were efficient and jovial; they came to do a job and they did it well. However the miscommunication between the home office and the workers is high. I revised my estimate before the move and reduced the amount of hours. After the men completed the move, in the amount of hours I estimated, they initiated payment for the move at the original price quoted. When I informed them that I was told 1. I would only be charged for hours worked and 2. that my estimate had been revised before the move, I was told that I was held to the min. of 5 hrs ( including travel time). Craziness, considering this was a local move!! I called the office but they were reluctant to resolve the issue with out speaking with the driver, at length, and this could not be done until he returned to the office. The workers were on a tight schedule and they did decent work ( they did rip my $1800 mattress :(, we will see what happens with their claims department). Anyway I was told I would be called back same day, no call. I called back Saturday and must have called when no on was in the office because I didn't get a rep. Called some time during the next week ( Wed.) and was told that refunds are processed on Friday- so Friday came and went, here is Monday; I was told that the accountants are out and I have to wait til Tuesday to get my money back. This is too much. Not to mention I was kept on hold several times only to have different people pick up the phone and ask to help me .. but why, why can't the original rep follow through on resolving my problem. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! These reviews did not come up when I did my search, if so, I would not have booked them. I used this company on 9/21/13 to move a two bedroom apartment. I spoke with Noam and told him what I had and also said I have a lot of boxes. I was quoted $99 for the truck, three men at $99/hour and I stated I wanted 2 hours to load and 2 hours to unload and everything would be packed when the men arrived at 8am (they were almost 30 minutes late). 1. Upon arrival I noticed the truck they brought was too small to fit all of my things; only two men arrived. I stated this to the driver and he said they could make it work and that the third guy called out sick. I started to cancel then, but I needed to be out of my old apt in a week. 2. The driver stated they would not use the elevator because it would take to much time so they used the stairs. CRAZY! 3. I was told if I wanted my glass table tops and furniture wrapped, it would be $25/item. WHAT THE HECK! None of this was mentioned when I booked them! 4. The side kick couldn't speak English, I assume, but he understood me when I told him not to throw and drop my stuff, which he was doing a lot. So, loading took 3 hours, CRAZY!. Upon leaving to go to my new apt, I was told to go ahead, because they had to drive slow because the truck was so packed. Hmmm, seems to me you could drive faster. However, at 11:35, I stopped at the leasing office to return the elevator key that didn't get used, therefore they were in front of me instead of behind. Halfway there I noticed I never caught up to them or saw them on the highway. I called them and asked which route they took and it was stated the same one as me. Hmm, fishy. I never saw them and made it to my new place at 11:55am, picked up the elevator key and returned to my building by 12:02. At 12:06, I get a call saying they are lost, I give directions and waited another 10 minutes, still no truck. At 12:16 They call back saying they are still lost, I give directions again and ask where they are and that I can come to them; the reply, we are on our way. At 12:26, I call and ask how far away they were and I will meet them. I arrive at their " lost" place (the local Royal Farms), where they eating on my time. If you are getting a lunch break while doing a job, it should be stated up front! So now it is about 12:45 and they start to unload the truck. At 1:30 one of the leasing manager come over and say my reservation time for the elevator is almost up and that I have only a two hour reservation. At this time, half of my things were not off the truck, they were dragging out the time. I had to tell them to hurry and unload the truck and get all my stuff on my floor so we could release the elevator, then move everything in my apt. So it's almost 4pm and time to pay. I was told it took 8 hours at $99/hour. Their tally: 1 hour getting to my old place, 3 hours loading, 3 hours unloading, and the almost hour that they were lost. BUNCH OF CRAP! I refused to pay for the time they were lost and I should not have paid all of the rest because as of today, I am still going back and forth myself hauling items because all of it could not fit on the truck. It was the drivers decision to use the stairs instead of the elevator, stating they charge a long haul fee. FOR REAL, YOU HAVE GOT TO BE JOKING! They broke my wine rack, chipped one of my glass table tops, scratched all of my furniture, since it was not wrapped. If I had been told upfront that wrapping was not included, I would have made sure I had blankets. I spoke to Noam at 240-619-7906 on Saturday after the move and told him the issues I had with the men and he stated that I should talk with Isaac Levis the owner. I called the owner on Monday 9/23/13 and told him what occurred, he stated he would check into it and get back to me. Today is Wednesday 9/25/13 and I have not heard from him. He did not even offer to send another truck to finish getting my things! I tried to call the number that I was given for the moving day, but I am getting a disconnection tone. I called the number listed on Yelp, and still nothing. You don't know if you have the right people because the company name is not stated when the voice messinging picks up, it's states another number that you have reached.
