I sent an email and all I got back was an open house listing with a time that unfortunately wouldn't work for me. I asked if there were other times available and he replied "no others are taking off work". I don't care about "others" Trent. 1. Learn how to send proper emails 2. Be more professional 3. Best has been great to work with for over 6 years. They currently manage two of my properties and will soon be managing 2 more. In that time, I have had a total of 4 tenants over two properties. They have managed the properties well and the tenants stay for a long time as the homes are well maintained by Best. I had THE WORST experience with a realtor of this company and I believe his name is "Trent". EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THIRSTY FOR APPLICATION FEES. I went to an open house tonight fresh after work. The place was okay, but the area wasn't the best. I was still willing to apply . So the realtor let me know that the landlords would be making a decision in the morning . So I said cool ok let me get my application in to at least be considered. So I fill out the application, I'm handing it to him and I ask my options to submit payment for the application fee. He just responds "cash only" and I say "I don't have cash right now" expecting him to offer me another payment option... he literally just pulls off and leaves. A complete waste of time and if that were true he should have lead with that before wasting 40 min of my time. I'll be reporting this company to the better business burea as well because that's not how you conduct a business at all. Not sure if he has a supervisor but i'll definitely continue to escalate this situation because that was so nasty and rude to do. read more

First off, one of the ladies who answers the phone is very rude to me and my roommate. Both times I called she was so pushy and ended up hanging up on me mid sentence. Secondly, She also hung up on my roommate when he called to follow up on a house we applied for. Thirdly, we never received a call back from the agency regarding the status of our application. I was told that it would be processed and decided within 24-48 hours. Boy was that a fat lie. It took one week and finally my roommate called to ask what the hell is going on only to find out we didn't get the house. At least give us the courtesy of calling and keeping us in the loop instead of stringing us along. Trent was cool but this whole process was bullshit. I understand your customers are the homeowners but your renters are part of the entire process as well. If I could give this place half a star I would. read more

It's been a year since I rented with Best, but I've wanted to post this for a while. I was going to give them three stars, but it took them 30 days to return our security deposit when they legally have 21 days. More on the security deposit/final inspection later in the review. Best Realty wasn't the worst, but mostly because my wife and I are low maintenance and didn't ask much from them. When we did ask for something, they were unresponsive and disinterested. Trent will go on and on about how impressive counter tops in a kitchen are, while saying/doing nothing about potential problems with the house. For instance, much of the plumping work in the house was done shoddily before we moved in, so we had to have a lot of it fixed: the kitchen sink pipes were not done properly, causing the sink to clog; there was a major leak in the garage; the water heater was not properly fastened and went out multiple times and also eventually had a major leak. For the leaks, Best took forever to send anyone out, resulting in high water and gas bills for us. They don't even respond to maintenance requests usually. They created an online system to put in requests because they couldn't be bothered with phone calls, but it turned out they were even less likely to respond to online requests. When the water heater started leaking, we eventually tried calling the plumber who fixed our kitchen sink. Well, he said he no longer worked with Best because of "shady business practices." Yep. I do like people who work at Best, they are just disorganized. Despite the other person's review below, I do like Lynn. Reyna, who was relatively new, is nice and prompt. I didn't like Dawn (not sure she even works there anymore); she made a snarky half-joke about all of our plumbing problems, annoyed that we didn't tell her about them all at once so she only had to send someone once. (Uh. That's not how this works. The problems didn't happen at the same time.) Trent is pretty unresponsive and thinks it's okay to be late when he's supposed to meet you (he was nearly twenty minutes late to the final inspection; failed to provide an apology, and just immediately started complaining about weeds). The final inspection is always one of the more unpleasant aspects of renting. Most businesses that rent property make up rules about what they can take from your security deposit. For instance, the top of our sofa and our daughter's crib had made slight marks on the walls, which is generally normal wear. Of course, Trent wanted us to pay for a whole new paint job. He said: "If you had lived here three or four years, the paint is on the landlord. But since you were only here two, you have to pay." I know he was just making this up because he said "three" or "four": if there was some set rule he wouldn't just be listing random numbers. Landlords can only charge for paint for major reasons (actual physical damage to walls, browning from smoking, or the tenant painted the walls a different color). Pretty much everything he deducted is not actually something that can be deducted: he was also incredibly annoyed by wear on the carpet. We lived there two years. Yes, there was wear in spots. We also had the carpet professionally cleaned, as per the lease. He was not satisfied, and charged us to have the carpet cleaned again. He said his guy would have done a better job. Well, he never gave me "his guy's" number, and I can't read minds. If you want a certain person to clean the carpet, do it yourself. He complained about indents in the carpet where the sofa's legs sat. Again, another thing he is not supposed to deduct from the security deposit. Oh, and remember I mentioned Trent complaining about weeds (he said "I know these weeds weren't here when you go the house and the lawn was greener, why didn't you use the sprinklers"), well, Best was supposed to, per the lease, be paying for yard care. Also, there aren't any sprinklers at the house. Trent has no idea what's going on with the house and no idea about the lease, even when he comes to inspect based on the terms of the lease. My wife and I were paying for lawn care for a long time, until we saw that Best was supposed to be paying for it. I'd try to have them refund the money, but it's honestly not worth trying. Which is exactly what these types of companies hope for: you'll just give in and not ask for a bunch of money they actually owe you. I liked some of the people, but I'd never rent with Best again (thankfully I don't have to, since we moved out because we bought a house) and I would never rent out a house through Best (seeing as they take a very hands off approach). They are perfectly happy taking everyone's money and then complaining if someone has the (gasp!) gall to try to contact them. When we were trying to get our security deposit, we called twice, and their phones were disconnected. read more

The best part of this company is that they LIE. His reply to my legitimate concerns were that I lost in court. There has not been any legal proceedings between me and this company. So attempting to tell others that I am upset because of a lost legal pursuit is only foolish on their part! I am happy to continue to rent from them & have not had any major issues, any minor issues have been fixed and the last few times I have spoken with them they have been professional & courteous. We own a couple of properties that are manage by this firm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Best Realty obviously cares little about their tenants. The owner is condescending and did not seem to care that I was moving that day because I waited almost 2 hours to get my keys. I was also told that the unit was left in good condition and required little cleaning. The cleaning lady didn't show up until a couple of hours after I got my keys and just before I showed with movers and the truck. She was also told that the condo required little cleaning and realized when she got here that that was not the case. She left shortly after we arrived leaving the place still filthy. I could not believe the condition the unit was in when I arrived. Most of the light fixtures don't work. There's an electrical plug in one of my kid's rooms that is smashed and has metal exposed (not good). The side gate doesn't stay closed and I don't know what I'm going to do with my dogs. They even took the latch off the gate that I was going to padlock for extra security. I have boxes everywhere and can't put anything away until after I do a thorough cleaning. I can't wait to see what else I find as I continue to move in. I still have to clean the apartment I just moved out of. I should not have to clean both. 4 weeks later...Best Realty has done some of the repairs that needed to be done, but not all of them. I was told by the owner that they would do some more later, if I proved to be a "good tenant" (his words, not mine). Gate still does not close, one of the smoke detectors does not work, and my daughter got a nasty cut on her foot from the carpet tacks sticking up. I was not getting any responses to my emails and they even quit answering the phone when I called. Out of Desperation, I called code enforcement about two and a half weeks into my living here, before some of repairs were made. Now I have a bill from Best Realty for $100!! For enforcing my right to have a decent place to live. Don't rent from Best Realty if you can avoid it. read more

if i could give this company no stars i would!! from the minute we moved into one of the properties they manage it was a horrible experience- we only saw the house once for about 5 minutes but trent was rushing us out of the house- we still signed the lease and gave our 1500$ deposit! (that was our mistake) needless to say the house was a dump- backyard was full of chicken bones and bottle caps and broken glass- the front door didnt shut and latch all the way so you had to slam it shut - none of the sprinklers worked however they told us prior to moving in they put in a 900$ sprinkler system- we called multipe times to come fix things and they said ya ya we will however noone ever showed up!!! my boyfriend would call and complain about the front door and their response was " you shouldnt of moved in if you didnt like it" !! sorry but thats not how you run a business!! we moved out March 1st && have yet to get our deposit but they rushed us to send in checkout sheet and give them the keys!!
