I've been going here for years but never left a review b/c I only go occassionally. Considering the consistency over the years, I figured it was another good reason to review them. The prices are still very good, especially considering the cost of other salons and inflation, and they include a stone massage in the basic $30 pedicure. As for massages, the two guys (never had anyone else) know what they're doing and they don't cut it short! (My favorite part). Plus, they polish very well, and I'm picky about that. While the salon isn't as glamarous as other places, they're comfortable and play music from the 70's-2000's so you don't have to listen to meditative music! They are indeed the best.... I have been going here about every three weeks for over 25 years since they first opened their business. Aaron does a fabulous job on my acrylics, and Henry is a pedicure King. Their prices are more reasonable than most. I've tried many other local shops....nothing compares to this one. read more

My technician was a man . He Did not give my feet the attention and callus removal needed. A customer should not have to call out the lack of attention. They try to get away with doing less and rush you out. read more

I stopped in last week while I was in Florida. I didn't have an appointment but I only had to wait a couple of minutes. I started with a pedicure, it was on par with the pedicures I have had other places. The massage was nice and relaxing. All of the tools and equipment were neat and clean. I had gel applied to my toe nails and they look great. I then had a manicure and had gel applied to my fingers as well. It has been a week since I was in and both my fingers and toes look great, no chipping and they still look shiny. There were several clients having services done when I entered and they appeared to know the employees by name, which always makes me feel good that the locals return to the same place. This nail salon is clean and uses new tools for each client for a pedi. My toes always look nice and they do a good job with the massage.

Maybe it was the day, it was definitely the people, what a wonderful experience. I dropped in today..it will be busier in season...I got an eyebrow and lip wax, a pedicure. And a full set of nail which I haven't done since the 90's. And everyone was so nice. I'm not sure of my aesthetician's name but Jason did all of my nails and glue was just really nice. I had to jump on bc when I looked them up to make my appt today I saw they only had 4 out of 5 stars and that's not cool lol! I've lived in 5 states and have been getting pedis for 25 years every 2-6 weeks depending on the season. I've been to best nails 4 times now and get excellent service each time and the atmosphere is so chill I just literally close my eyes and relax! Almost all the reviews are solid 5s and even the one person that gave them a 1 admitted her first appt was the best fill she ever had in Venice (so why not give it a 2 or 3 chickita because 1 reviews really mess up a businesses stats which is cool if they are terrible across the board but that's not what happened to you). No one asked me to say this, I just don't like things that are not just lol!!! They are awesome! read more

I am so disappointed in the service I received at Best Nails today. I went about a month ago and had one of the best fills I've ever had in Venice and Sarasota by Jason, so I figured today after breaking two nails that I could go back and receive similar service. Obviously part of this is my fault for not calling and making an appointment with Jason but it was very last minute. I'm not even sure who did my nails since he didn't speak more than two words to me. My nails are crooked, uneven and not the same size. I have left over acrylic all over my fingers and gel polish stuck on my hands. The nail tech was preoccupied with the soccer game on TV and was rushing, especially when other customers came in to get a pedicure. He didn't even check to make sure my nails were okay for me to leave. Unfortunately I am going to have to try yet another nail salon on Thursday to get this mess fixed. :(( read more

I tried this nail salon today and I was pleased. I have lived in Venice since 11/16 and have tried several different nail salons and have not been satisfied. This place was clean. Vanessa did a great job on my mani/pedi. She took her time and when I pointed something out to her she rectified it immediately. I was sure to tip her well. The price was a bit high. The tv was on & a radio was playing so that was annoying. I was the only customer there for the entire time. So far I like this place the BEST!! read more

My best friend and I went, she kept offering services without telling us the charges and when we declined she did it anyways and rang up $120 for two one color sets of nails. My friends were white coffin with gel and mine were two colors of regular polish. I had wanted square but she put coffin on against my wishes and charged me for it. I wanted my nails shorter and didn't want to get coffin because they don't look good with short nails. When she put the coffin on i asked her to make them short and she told me no because they don't look good that way. Like girl what?? I wanted gel and she did regular polish and said it was too late. I asked her why the bottles looked different than the colors I had asked for and she said "the numbers match don't worry they'll dry that way" They did not. Not to mention wrecked our cuticles and surrounding skin. Will not be coming back. Wish I could find a reliable nail salon. read more

Nails cut square, oval and on diagonal all on the same foot. Some cuticles removed. Decent leg n foot massage with a little warm stone rub. Manicure about the same. It was ok in a pinch. Won't recommend to friends. There are too many other choices which care about the quality of their work. read more
