Writing this review on behalf the experience had by my 87 year old mother and her care giver who brought mom in for a pedicure and manicure. This was moms second visit, the first visit went quite well, everybody was satisfied with the services received on the initial visit. The problem is with a male who identified himself as the OWNER. His rude behavior towards my 87 year old mother is unacceptable. Nasty, mean, rude for no reason. When mom first arrived she was advised she would need to wait an hour, this wasn't a problem at all as mom didn't have an appointment. When it was moms turn he became obstinate and refused to work on her and was loud so the entire shop could hear. He then tried to pull my 87 year old mother out of the chair w/o giving her a chance to get up at which time the care giver had to step in and stop him. Rude for no reason, he was not provoked in any way as mom and her care giverare always soft spoken ladies. A number of family friends use this location. After hearing about the treatment from the male who identified himself as the OWNER i guarantee they will stop going here for services. The pedi was sub-par. The price (Monday-Wednesday) was only $30 so it was an inexpensive lesson to learn. There are better salons out there. FIND THEM. read more

I went the other day because I was getting an oil change, mistake. I had a mediocre pedicure, Approximately 20 minutes. They had plexiglas between every other chair, and I assume they are keeping every other chair empty. They also had plexiglass between tech and client. The person next to me was having a manicure and pedicure, the tech was right next to her, wrapping nails in tin foil while she was having a pedicure, why bother with plexiglass! I did not see anyone wash the chairs they cleaned foot baths, but not chairs... gross. Then they stuck me at a manicure chair, in front of a small fan on the floor, to dry my nails, really! The manager was brusque and cold, but they did take temps and have a health record filled out. I don't think I will return. read more

Well I have been coming since about 2017 when I couldn't reach my toes due to my injury. My sister in law brought me here and I still come here for my toes every couple months. I used to go here all the time and loved it, but switched to another local salon for different reasons. But I decided to give best nails a try due to the fact I was already in that shopping center. I got them done last Wednesday, my usual, acrylic refill with gel polish. They now have this brown coating over the top and are peeling one week in. So do my toes which have just regular polish. They also are more pricey than other salons in the area. They also made my eyebrows super thin. I will NEVER go to best nails again. read more

NEVER GO HERE!!!! They are quite possibly the worse nail salon I have ever been to! I have only been hete multiple times out of convenience because it is close to my work. Aside from being dirty and having the same old Christmas decorations up all year round, their staff is beyond rude! They blatantly talk badly about their customers right in front of them. A solid 3 stars is appropriate. Again, I'm trying to find some nail salons close to the new house, when I'm in desperate need of a mani/pedi and not in center city. My girlfriend (who also lives in the area) and I planned a play date for manis and pedis and she picked this location. I got a mani / pedi w/ colors I am familiar w/ (Essie's Fiji and Devil's Advocate). I noticed that a lot of the popular colors were not on display (i.e. FIJI) so when I asked one of the stylists - she seemed to have FIJI stashed in one of her drawers (SAVED)!! The mani/pedi paint job was good - not mindblowing (see my reviews for YUYA and La Beaute), but solid! I was disappointed b/c the technician asked if I wanted my nails filed down or trimmed... when I said trimmed, she insisted that I only needed them filed. After going back and forth for two rounds of "trim please" "no, i think you just need a file" ... I finally relented, which I instantly regretted. D'oh well - when I return to my regular salon, they will just have 4 weeks worth of trimming instead of the usual 2. Lastly, I think the dryers are straight from 1980 - b/c we sat under the dryer for more than 20 mins and our nails were still NOT dry! CRAZY, right? read more

Decided to stop in after finishing up my grocery shopping, as I haven't gotten my brows waxed in ages and knew it would be quick. I checked the hours on the door before parking since it was getting a little late, but their sign said open until 7:30 (as does yelp). The second I opened the door (at 7:10) the three people inside all told me they were closed. I definitely understand wanting to get out early, especially around the holidays, but if your sign says open and your hours listed out front indicate you're open, stay open, or change your business hours and lock the door. read more

I normally go to Rainbow Nail Salon on York Rd, but I needed my nails done ASAP on a Sunday, so I went here. The technicians were not friendly, which is not a big deal. One technician stood right over me as I was choosing nail colors, which again is not a big deal. The place seemed clean and organized. I did not receive a back or hand massage, both of which I get at every other nail salon in the area and also at Rainbow Nails. My experience was not terrible, but I'm sad I came here for service because I'm not happy with my nails. I got a gel manicure, and it looks fine from a distance. However, up close one can see the polish is not applied well and my nails are not filed well. I felt like I was being rushed, and I'm not happy with the quality. I find this salon very clean however it lacks that warm and fuzzy feeling. Most of them seem very cold and bored with their work. They rush through their pedicures and just slap on the polish to get you done. I only go there if I am around the area. The only time they talk to you especially one of the nail technician asks if you want your eyebrows waxed so she can make more money. If I wanted my eyebrows waxed from the beginning I would have had it done. One time I had a gift card and they put it through and said the machine was broken and it did not take. So I paid cash and to find out at another store that the gift card was empty. The machine did take the payment and it wound up costing me double for everything they did. This place is terrible. I came from out of town and needed someone to do my nails badly. I was excited when I spotted them. They greeted me friendly & I told them I needed a full set with gel & a pedicure. The lady started on my pedicure and a man came over and began to put the tips on. He kept telling me "that cost more money" from the length to the shape. He began to file them & told him I wanted them coffin shaped. First he said it was extra then said they can't do that shape. Only square or oval. Like he was forcing me to get that shape. So I asked if he was doing my nails and he said no. So I asked the lady who was doing my nails if she could do that shape and she looked and him them looked at me and said no sorry only square or oval. So I said I didn't want to get my nails done then. He got an attitude and rushed over to take the tips off. Definitely will not return. read more

I moved to the area over a year ago and needed a go to place to get a pedi. For starters the place is very clean, the staff is polite and not over-chatty, and you don't have to wait; if you do, it's not long at all. It's at a convenient place, too. I do my grocery shopping at giant and go to the pet valu. They do a good job of cleaning up and painting nails for 30 bucks (mani/pedi) combo. Keyword: good. It's not the best, but it's good. I do wish they cleaned in between my nails with the pointy tool as I've been used to over the years, but for the convenience of location, I'll make a stop once every two or three months. read more

It is fairly priced and clean and i love that you don't need an appointment and they are opened Sundays! But the quality of services has gone down hill over the year. The last 6-8 x i have left either nipped so i am bleeding, nails not filed well or shaped inconsistently, bubbles and more. I often think i could do a better job myself. He stood up to grab a polish for a lady and started jiggling his junk in front of me AT EYE LEVEL bc I was sitting down and when he got up to walk to me to nail dryer he tried to run up against me , I left after that in complete shock ... I just had to pay for a terrible nail job and to be treated like this I WOULD HOPE THIS DOENST HAPPEN ALL THE TIME but if it does can anyone else speak up about it ? It's frustrating that nail salons are so hit or miss. This was definitely a miss. Got a pedicure and gel manicure. I have a pet peeve when they don't file your nails properly and the end up lopsided nails or a sharp edge. They rushed both my pedi and mani and it looks horrible. The filing was terrible and she took five seconds on the polish and you can tell. I corrected a few things but it got to the point where it wasn't worth it. Will definitely not be back. read more

I have been there several times. The last two times the credit machine was "down" and I was asked to pay cash. The quality was so-so. I usually go to the shop in Andorra even though it's a little farther away. The only tech I see there is Jennifer. She's awesome and really does a great job.
