Should be called worst nails. My daughter and her friend came here to get nails. The manicurist took advantage of the fact that they were young and did a horrible job. The tips didn't fit properly, the tips were not painted well. One on them was completely crooked. I called I'm the morning to see if we can have th fixed or get a refund. They said I can come get them fixed. When I arrived they said I had to come back tomorrow. Explained to them that I can not come tomorrow. They refused to fix, refund, or let me Speak to owner. One of the manicurist was screaming at me and being very rude. I just wanted them to do what they said they would do on the phone. After waiting around for a while they decided they would fix them. But the whole time we're very rude and disrespectful. They started to do a horrible paint job. I asked him to stop. Then they started screaming at me that I just want my money back. Horrible business. Super disrespectful. I've never been treated this way In any establishment establishment. read more

Wow. Dirty ugly salon. Workers there seemed annoyed that I disturbed their card game to have a polish change. I mean there were NO other customers in the salon so I'm not sure why they were so put out when I came in to use their services. So awkward. And they charged me $15 for a polish change!!! Best Nails is typical of any other nail salon in the area. I wasn't impressed with the nail color selection. No bright colors at all. My pedicure looks good but the foot massage was seriously lacking. I'm always disappointed when they skimp on a foot massage. I was very hesitant coming here based off of the yelp reviews. I was even holding off on going to get my nails done after cutee nails across the 1-5 did a hack job on my previous manicure. However, they do have a new team member named Katie. She is brand new and I left there absolutely satisfied with the job that she did. It's already been a week and I have no issues with the fullset gel manicure that she gave me. The nails are strong and the gel is not peeling. I love the shape and length she gave my nails and how she made sure along the way that I was satisfied. Best nails is in an unpretentious little spa in a strip mall off Encinitas Boulevard by Petco. I've been having my nails done in San Diego for 25 years in various salons...and they do one of the best jobs of anyone. The two male manicurists there are especially good...The gels seem to always last longer from here. You can also get a by the minute shoulder massage which is always great as well. read more

The woman that provided this service for my spouse literally neglected the basics, doing the JOB! She didn't clip the toenails, didn't polish the toenails. Truly why is she even there? She wants a paycheck but doesn't want to work the work. They should close the business! I brought it up to the older woman and let her know my grievances, and she actually went back and took care of him, but needless to say we will never go back and every time we pass by, we advise others not to go there. I can here in a Saturday morning without an appointment and they were pretty busy, but the wait wasn't too bad. I had requested a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They have a nice selection of OPI colors and Gelish options. My pedicure was first and it was pretty standard. The massage was very nice and thorough. I paid extra for callus removal as well. I am not happy with this service and hence the four stars. She definitely did a scrub but it just wasn't very effective. I'll skip this option next time. My manicure came next (I did notice some patrons had both going at the same time but not me) and it turned out pretty well. One of the nails the polish looks a little thin, but hardly noticeable and I'm sure no one will notice but me. Overall I had a great experience and I plan on retuning here for my occasional pedicure and manicures. For the pedicure (plus callus removal scrub) and gel manicure, it was $50. The gel looks like it's my own nail and that's what I like about it. Everyone asks me if they're my real nails and THEYRE NOT! But I love that they look so natural! The owners are there every day with no vacation days. They are very hard working people and are very kind and serviceable. My husband and I came in for an impromptu mani/pedi and were tortured for the next hour. We left bloody and disappointed. All 4 of the staff that worked on us were so rough and did not adjust when we flinched or yelped. One would think that at least the foot/hand massage would have been vigorous, but it was weak and annoying. To add insult to our injury, the 2 employees that were not with clients were eating something loud with their mouths open almost the entire time. Do not go here!! read more

This place kinda sucks. This was my second time coming. I didn't get good customer service the first time and the man who did my nails made me bleed pretty bad. I thought maybe he was newer so I gave the place another try. The woman who did my nails the second time was also not very friendly. I had picked a deep purple pink color from their gel options but when she painted my first nail, it looked hot pink so I picked another color. She said that stick of gel colors was just old, which is why it looked dark, and told me to pick from a different stick. I tried two other colors and they were both brighter than the sample so I asked if I could just pick a non gel color. She said no because she had already done the gel base. Fair enough, I'm sure it costs more for them to do a gel base than a regular base. But lesson learned: after two subpar experiences, I will not be back. read more

I went here last weekend for a mani/pedi and was really pleased with their work! My polish came out perfect and the gal who did my toes did a great job removing the cuticles. They took their time to work on my mani/pedi and also gave me a nice massage. I like this place because there's not a lot of fuss--they did my nails in peace and I was able to just sit there and relax. They also have a big screen TV, so you can totally watch it while getting serviced. The place is not fancy--but it was comfy, neat and almost feels like you're in somebody's living room. I think their rates are reasonable and their workers are careful and very good. I would definitely go back here again. read more

He cut my finger and continued to file it and it was bleeding.. he painted my nails the wrong color, and every nail is completely crooked and so sharp on all the edges, not to mention it took 1:45 minutes. Was not impressed at all. The girl that did my pedicure hardly soaked my feet and my big toes still hurt at the cuticle. She put on only a base coat and one top coat and another quick wisk. no attention to how and today there already starting to recede back. Four years later and I am still going! They have really become a top nail salon and do AMAZING gel manicures. My nails can last for 3-4 weeks without chipping after I get a gel manicure from here, and I beat my hands up all the time. They are impeccably clean, well-mannered, and kind. I recommend not wasting your time or money. Me and my two girlfriends got right in with no appointment which was great but all 3 of our manicures were horrible. They did not soak or trim our cuticles. After they filled our nails, they didn't brush off our fingers just started to paint them. No hand massage. It felt very rushed and their work reflected it. I have been coming here since 2001. They always do a great job! Sung is really good and makes my nails the perfect length. They do a gel set which makes them look really natural.
