Worst pedicure I have ever gotten! Before going in I had already trimmed and filed my toenails and were perfectly squared. I typically do this because I have not been able to find a good nail salon. And usually they will just file a bit and that's it. But at this salon my nails were completely butchered and nails were left at the nub that just the action of walking is painful. Nails toes have been throbbing all day even if I'm not walking. Then we get to the paint job. It was definitely the worst paint service I have ever gotten. There was paint all over my toes and I won't discredit that she tried to clean it up but it was just left worse. I hate to say it but After a certain point of not being able to do an "ok" job we must reevaluate what we are doing for a living. read more

I asked for a French tip, showed a reference photo of a set of thin French tip nails. Ended up with a chunky set. I did ask for the white part to be thinner except the only issue was the white part was the plastic tip so she had to cut it shorter to make it thinner. Even though I didn't want short nails. I wish she had told me she didn't know how to paint French tips. Below is my hand vs the reference photo. Maybe I'm tripping but to me it doesn't look even close. read more

They charged me $75 for a full set not to mention I had to file my own nails when I got home because they were so uneven I also had to correct her because she wasn't covering my nail fully, and she threaten to cut off all my nails and tell me to go to Walmart and painted my nails wrong with gel so her daughter had to come in and correct it so she had to file all the gel off my nails and then her daughter had to come in and paint my nails. I've had bad experiences here on several occasions. First of all, the boss lady with the short hair was rude to me when she was doing my nails a few years ago and raised her voice at me in front of customers. I chose a white sparkly gel polish but it was too clear so I said "never mind I'll just do regular white" instead of the sparkly white. And she starts painting my nails and I notice she grabbed the fan and I said "it's gel right?" And she LITERALLY raised her voice like almost yelled at me and said "you said regular white" like yeah regular white not sparkly white, but I said in the beginning I wanted gel. The other ladies waiting just stared. It was really uncomfortable. She then started asking me about my life etc. to try to come back from her rudeness in an attempt to get a better tip I'm sure. Anyway I hadn't gone back for two years after that. I don't live in Brawley anymore, but when I visit I like to get mani pedis. So I finally decided after two years I'll give it another shot. First, the lady took so long to do my fill. She got up 4-5 times to find things because she didn't have the material at her desk. She kept talking to the lady next to her and the other guy who looks like he works there and she kept using her hands to talk instead of working on my nails. It was so frustrating. I just sat back with my arms crossed since she wasn't doing anything in the middle of my fill. Anyway the lady did my fill and charged me $15 extra than what was listed on the board. No warning or anything. It was basically her decision with her own reasoning to charge me more. The boss lady (who was actually not rude this time) told me it was going to be $50. And I said, "for a fill right?" Mind you, I got no design, nothing fancy. Just a gel white short acrylic fill. Anyway I tipped $10 because I'm not a total a**hole. And she seemed surprised that I even tipped. Probably because they know I was not happy. I'm honestly and truly never going back here. The customer service is so terrible. read more

Next to sallys. I've been coming here 2 years...only because I can't drive to imperial every time I need my nails done. Go to the el centro mall those 2 salons are much better. Chrissy is very nice and does a good job...but the boss lady is terrible and has Poor customer service. The last 4 times Ive been in have been horrible.... I had a full set put on. Then a cut down and a gel mani....all terrible but my last gel manicure was so bad I had to go back twice! The nails kept peeling. The first time I went back and Chrissy fixed it quickly and said sorry... later that day another nail peeled so I went back but the boss basically told me I would have to wait and she was busy.... she wasn't. She could have easily fixed it. The boss doesn't do anything ever!!! I've been coming here for 2 years but I won't be back after these last few months of poor customer service and crappy jobs. The last gel Mani I had to go back 3 times within 2 days to have it look normal...also another lady came in to have her polish fixed for peeling. The address is wrong for this place- it's in front of Walmart. But if I could give it zero stars, I would. I made an appointment last night for a pedicure for my 5 year old daughter and I. Upon our arrival this morning, the woman who was going to do our pedicures asked me: "how do you expect me to give her a pedicure? I can only do a polish change." She was so rude I couldn't believe it. She sputtered it out a few more times as my daughter looked at me. This isn't something we do often together, so it was supposed to be a special treat for the both of us. She said the only option was to set her on my lap, but I'm unable to do that as I'm one week post major surgery. We finally made our way out of the "salon" and I let her know I wouldn't ever return. Brawley is in desperate need of customer service lessons. Someone please open a nail salon where you aren't made to feel like you work for them. I have mixed reviews about this place. They always do a really great job at doing my acrylic nails! However, the last time I went there, I got a fill. A week later, they broke. I know that happens every now and then, but I went to my salon up in San Diego where I currently live, and there was a ton of fungus! My current salon guy said that the people at Best Nails should have caught that while I was getting my fill and could have prevented the damage! That really bothered me...even though I love the work they do over at Best Nails. So overall, really tasteful work, but the attention to detail and the overall health of my nails just wasn't as important to them as it should've been. read more

In my opinion this salon is not even a 1 star. It is dirty, they don't use clean tools. They are unfriendly, they impose their opinions of how i wanted my nails. I like my nails very short and they were giving me a hard time about it. I've given this place so many chances but every time they show me who they are- rude, and unprofessional. Ive gone to this salon out of convenience but I will not be returning. I'm Very unhappy with the service that I have received. For me they are clearly not the best nails. After my pedicure I decided I could not endure to be there any longer so I cancelled my manicure. I left this place and went to a salon in El Centro for my gel manicure and the experience and customer service was amazing. They even told me that they missed me. I called this place at 6:30 asking if they had time for a full set. And they said I can go in at 7:30 (which is the time they close) I also asked how much it would be for coffin & gel. They said $43. At this point I didnt really care since the valley over prices low quality basic nails anyways...This was my last resort since every other nail salon was closing. I do highly appreciate them staying after closing hours so they can do my nails. So when I walk in I waited an additional 30 minutes. My nails coming out looking okay. Waited 45 minutes for a full set of nails and I asked for short and when the youngest clipped them they weren't even straight I asked her if she could round them out she told me it's harder to round out with the acrylic already set and continued to square them but never asked the shape before idk if that's how it goes but it still turned out horrible. Address listed on Yelp is wrong, salon is found by Walmart and next to Sally's. First of all this nail salon is first come first serve, if you call and make an appointment you'll still have to wait. They try to serve as many people as possible so they start a person then begin with another and switch back and forth. This is why you can expect to be there 2-3 hours at times. The staff is friendly, I come here regularly and get full facial waxing. The owner herself does the waxing, she does an outstanding job each time. Eyebrows are waxed perfectly. As far as if it hurts or not, I'm not sure how to rate that because hey it's waxing. However, I don't believe it hurts that much. The times I've gotten full set of gel nails they have come out really well. It would be nice if they had a better selection of colors and designs to look at. I had the young lady do my nails and she is a perfectionist, very nice too. I had the manicure done by her and it's relaxing but fairly quick. Overall they do a good job but expect to wait even with appointments, but personally I think it's worth the wait. So if you want a good price and are willing to wait around I recommend this place. read more
