No efforts in communicating with patients. It is my first appointment with the clinic. I was…read morereally thrilled to visit this new clinic as it was for me. I arrived on time, checked in, and because the front desk lady said because I was also on my phone when I was checking in she skipped me. She said because I was on my phone. I was not rude to her at all, and yes I was on my phone, but even though I was on an important phone call from social security disability administration office which I'd been waiting for over a year for. As I mentioned, because right before I walked into the office I received the call and was trying my hardest to not be rude to either party, I decided to keep the phone close to my ear and respond to the disability officer as promptly and politely as possible. When I directed Myself to the front office assistant, I said hello, did not disregard her questions, and was professional to her. Right before i walked away from the window at the front desk, I told her I'd be right back, it seemed to me she heard me. I ended up walking outside because the gentleman was asking me for some information I had to give him for my claim in the car, which was right outside, when I came right back in she told me she skipped me because she thought I'd left. I did Mention to her I had told her I'd be right back, she looked a little upset at me and told me three different things as I was trying to tell her my situation. 1st reason for her dropping my appointment-You left., 2nd., you were on your phone.3., I did not tell her that I'd be back. She went on to tell me the doctor had a meeting at a specific time and she cancelled my appointment due to all of the above. She didn't even provide me the time of day to explain to her my situation. She ened with telling me she canceled my appointment because I was on the phone very rudely she answered as if she would have gotten attended because I was on my phone when I was communicating with her. I know it is rude for me to do that, but I do know how to multitask and I am professional. I too am a professional woman just because o was not behind that window and I was a patient during this encounter, I still provided both parties with the upmost respect and time they deserved. I was given the option to sit and wait for the dr to finish his meeting and then he would see me. I said that was okay. Granted if he had a meeting and they had to cancel my appointment for his meeting, I did not step away from the office not even 10 minutes for them to cancel my appointment, nor did I receive a citrusy call to see if I was okay and if I was going to yet be seen. There were no efforts in communicating with me at all. This is my first initial appointment and now I don't even know if I want to continue seeing them. I will give them another chance hopefully my entire time here is not the same every time I visit. I will be hopeful and pray that this was just a terrible misunderstand and miscommunication somehow. I truly understand if he had an appointment after me, I just wish they would have made me feel like I was an important part of their community as well and given the same courtesy and kindness so we could have established a most respected relationship. Hoping for the best. If not I don't have many options here in the Imperial Valley though if I do continue to have these problems I will take it up to the agency who provides medical care and medical staff, as well as for looking for a new dr elsewhere. Wishing for the best!!

The salon only has one sink so when I was getting my hair rinsed and color added, the other lady needed to use the sink to rinse out coloring solution so I was removed from the sink to stand until she had her client rised out then when she finished then I was able to sit at the sink to get finished . I got framing highlights so just highlights around my face and I got a trim plus she did run a hair straightener in a few places and all that cost me was 125.00 dollars. I've been charged less at many other salons and I usually get all over highlights. This place is not transparent with their prices. I did like the haircut but I do think the highlights was a little heavy for my taste but I didn't clarify how thin I wanted the highlights so that's my fault. I wish I would of asked the price before I went in person..... I personally think I would of gotten a more reasonable price over the phone.

I decided to get my hair colored done for the very FIRST TIME here with Mychelle. I've never had it…read morecolored and I did not want something extreme and crazy. So I decided to get an Ombre. Please keep in mind that I know Mychelle because I've gone to her for haircuts in the past and only haircuts. I do like the way she cuts hair so I thought she would be good at doing my ombre because there was that sense of trust. I signed up for the following service: haircut and ombre. Before I started I showed her pictures of the color I wanted and how I wanted it to be done. I told her that I wanted my hair to look as natural with a light shade of brown. Well what I got was extreme and not what I wanted. Something that concerned during the process was when her mother, Lulu came over and told her daughter that the way she was bleaching my hair was that she was using too much product and told her to do it this way. At that point it was too late to stop, my hair was already bleached. I decided to just continue despite that red flag , I mean if her mother is coming over to tell her how to bleach my hair then wouldn't you be concerned? Then later in the process when she took off the foil I noticed that parts of my hair was bleached more than others. I was mortified but stayed quiet. I thought that maybe with the color it won't be noticeable. Then she came over asking me to pick a color scheme from a book for my hair. I was so confused in terms of what she was asking. I told her and showed her pictures of how I wanted it to be done in the beginning. She just said to pick a color and none of the colors look close to the color I wanted. She suggested a few colors but it was it wasn't any that I loved or the shade that I wanted. At this point I was confused because I thought that hair professionals mixed colors to get to a color that the client would want. Or know how to mix colors to get to get to different shades. I didn't know that there were shades already ready to go that you pick from a book and then that's how they color your hair. Like I said this is my first time getting my hair colored and I didn't know the process for it. This was not mentioned to me at all in the beginning before starting. If this was how it going to be then I would never have decided to get my hair colored. So I picked one of her recommendations because at this point it was too late to turn back. I did not like how my hair turned out. I even told her that and she suggested that to give it a few weeks and if I still don't like it then that she can tone it for free. Well more than a few weeks have gone by and I still hate it. I decided not to take her up on the offer for toning it down. She had lost my trust and once my trust has been lost then i could never go back. How can I trust her with my hair ever again? The only thing I liked was the haircut but the color was not what I wanted and I wanted to cry. I paid $295 for a haircut and ombre. It was expensive for something I did not like. I feel like I was cheated and now it's been a few months since this incident. I did not want to write this review but then again I was not at fault and I want to warn others and not have anyone else go through the horrible experience I went through. I do not reccomend Mychelle or this salon to anyone. She does not know how to color hair. She is a complete novice. The salon charges high prices for haircuts and haircolors. Not worth the dime. Please see pictures of my hair of the incident vs what I was really looking for. I hope my review helps someone.
