I have been twice. my first meal was a 10. the food was hot, savor, and delicious. the second meal was cold, terribly cold. it must have been a food delivery that didn't get picked up and given to another order. They offer delivery - nice. The food? It's hit or miss. I'm a big fan of some sticky boneless spareribs, and theirs are awfully dry. Their egg drop soup on the other hand is awesome, if you like egg drop soup. General Tso's is average also. The crab rangoons are pretty decent. A little lackluster in the cream cheese department, but they put effort in by having scallions all up in there. Tasteless Kung Pao chicken amazingly with no peanuts and no flavor. This is supposed to be a spicy dish with nuts but came out as bland as bland can be. I asked for white rice but received their version of fried rice, (yellow looking bland dry rice). My meal was saved by the fact that I used to eat on location but now it's take out only. I was able to get home, put some fresh sliced cabbage, siracha, peanuts and sesame oil to bring some life to this bland dish. The wonton needed help as well, which siracha, and red pepper provided. No mas.. How rude that you can not even eat on location. The counter person took my order in a snappy stand-offish manner, hardly bothering to lift his head from his newspaper, then barking my order to the cook. This restaurant has no reason to exist. Got the half chicken combo and the chicken was literally all batter and bone. They also forgot the eggroll. I've ordered from this place many times before and haven't had a problem. For standard chinese takeout, they are definitely one of the better in the area. Everything is pretty much solid. Nothing overly outstanding, but very consistenly good. I live a few blocks away and over the years have probably eaten there close to 100 times. Certainly not a place you'd want to sit down and eat - the atmosphere is standard crappy chinese takeout (old worn wooden table, chairs, etc). Strictly takeout or delivery. Solid Chinese food that delivers in a timely fashion. I usually get the house special fried rice with chicken wings or general tso chicken. The chicken wings are usually cooked to a crisp golden color and they taste pretty good. The general tso chicken could be a little spicier. Disgusting place, they handle money then handle food without gloves or washing their hands, do not eat here, they should be closed down for the way they keep the cooking and prep area filthy dirty. I stopped eating there since the last time they gave me reheated cashew chicken that tasted like it was in the fridge for two weeks - it had a moldy sour tang and it wasn't the ginger. Today I snapped a picture of the bin of breaded chicken wings they leave out of the fridge on the counter for hours next to the fryer, perhaps so they can "drop" them faster I guess - this is a definite salmonella risk. I thought I'd give them another try since the food tastes decent. The lady who helps you at the counter gives a dirty look if you don't tip her when you pick up your take-out! The owners (husband and wife) yell at each other loudly in their native language and completely alienate anyone waiting for an order. The floor is greasy and the counters look filthy. Food here is pretty good. I stick to my regular shrimp and mixed veggie combo. Their lo main on the other hand could use a little more love, sometimes too salty for my palette to handle. No fortune cookie upon delivery. Delivery is moderately early to fashionably late, the delivery person is very impatient and continuously calls until you open the door. Do not buy shrimp from here I asked for regular sized fried shrimp they gave me breaded greasy mush all I could taste was bread and a mouth full of oil disgusting when I removed the bread the shrimp looked almost artificial thin hard and full of shrimp shit . They don't even clean them !!!! They didn't want to give me a refund were completely rude . I feel sick to my stomach I've puked twice already and I'm pregnant if things don't get better I'll have to go to the hospital . Never going back !! read more
