Another small business located in the First Avenue Marketplace. I think it is family run, but I must say for quality and price, you really can't beat this place. They are a little store in the corner of the plaza that sells frozen hand made dumplings. There is no fancy packaging here, except a little sticker stating what it is (wonton, shui mai, etc) and what ingredients are inside. This is the one place I can actually find pure pork shui mai, and wonton's, as I have someone at home allergic to shrimp. They also make fresh rice rolls here, where I buy and bring home and fry up. You can buy bags of wontons here for cheap. Depending on what is in them, my plain pork meat wonton's, a bag of 50, comes out to $5. I've tried many little frozen dim sum shops around the city, and even the commercialized stuff they sell in the frozen section at T&T, and this place beats them in taste and quality!

The lady that dropped my dumpling and still was going to bag it.

Review Highlights - Best Dim Sum Co

Don't be fooled by their lack of fancy packaging and pretty interior; they are top notch at getting that classic taste.

First time here. Came to try the Dumplings and the Beef Noodle…read more The Dumplings were pretty good but not as impressive as my Chinese neighbour makes them but thats my bias. The Beef Noodle soup was ok but not as flavourful as Red Beef for example. It lacked a bit of kick. The meat was a little too soft for my taste but its very personal. I did see some other very interesting dishes so I will be back to try those and give a better verdict. Service was good and its a very big place despite what it looks like on the outside.

Amazing dumpling spot and very affordable. We brought our family of 5 on a random BC trip night…read more Our kids love Xiao Long Bao (XLB). We ate what would normally be a $100-$125 US meal for under $80 US. It was awesome. We got so much food - it was ridiculous. We ate quite a bit and saved the rest for leftovers. The servers were super nice and sweet. Very family friendly. We found our new go-to spot in Vancouver, B.C. Also, if you give it a little time the parking isn't too bad. Dinasty also stays open a little later than most restaurants in town, making this a viable option when in a pinch for food but running late in the day. Will absolutely go back next time in town. Thanks for having us. Comparable to Dough Zone or Din Tai Fung, somewhere right in between with quality and cost. Everything was yummy.

My favorite dish was the prawns and eggplant with rice cakes. It was packed with so much flavor and was super delicious. The tofu pudding portion was massive. The ginger syrup that accompanied it wasn't too sweet and struck the perfect balance of sweetness with the ginger.

As a high end restaurant, the food quality was below average. However, what truly disappointed me was the poor service. Even though the restaurant was not busy, the dishes were served very slowly. The first 2 dishes came out fast, but the later 2 dishes came out after 45 min. When we asked for additional rice and water, we had to wait an unusually long time. Throughout the meal, we felt neglected. It was hard not to feel that the level of service was noticeably indifferent, possibly because we did not order any high-priced seafood or premium dishes. For a restaurant at this price point, the service was simply unacceptable. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would not return and would not recommend it.
