Harsh & Deep are the best! They always remember me & what I like to drink. And the store... don't even get me started- WOW! It's had a RE-BIRTH! These guys found a diamond in the rough & polished it to be the Hope Diamond of liquor stores! They have transformed this place & in doing so have made the neighborhood that I live in feel up to par. Their place has ELEGANCE, it makes you feel like you're walking into a well established place where they know all the the brands & carry everything you can imagine. And what's really great is if they don't have what you're looking for - they will order it- just speak up & ask the guys. They are super polite & kind. They'll even order candy if you can't find it in their great selection. But this place has a kick ass collection & I seriously doubt you'd ever be disappointed. Their displays are spot on, they are clean, smart & damn they look great. This store really has style, granted they're still finishing the make over - but if you're there you can see the vision, it's really nice- a cool place & I for one am happy they took over this place cuz it needed some big lovin & they produced that & more. I also have to say that long timers like Ray, he's a staple & such a great guy! You can always count on Ray, he's always greets you with a smile & helps in an instant. This store is a complete dump every time I go here chips expired juice expired, the lady that works behind the counter has the audacity to tell me I'm the first to bring something back that's expired I look at the expiration date on the bag of chips it says march 2024 and we are in march of 2024 that means it's expired she tells me it's the beginning of the month good grief get better products that's not about to expire I see why they only have only 2 and a half stars and terrible reviews it's never busy they sell close to expiration products I do not recommend this liquor store it's a complete dump the service is so terrible the lady that works at the counter she so smart she didn't even know how to put my money back on my bank card she had to give me cash smh I do not recommended this liquor store horrible service and customer service also they do not offer straws for beverages she had the nerve to tell me to go to a 7 eleven for non alcohol beverage and snacks that they sell why sell it especially if the products you carry are always expired and also don't let me get started on the old stale cigars they carry and sell disgusting I definitely will never go here again if I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I really dislike to leave negative reviews for businesses. This will be the only one in the last 3 years. 3 weeks I waited for my online order and nothing arrived. I called and spoke with the proprietor, he assured me arrival within 3 days. 3 days came and went. Over 3 weeks now and I am unsure if I will ever receive my $120 worth of wine. Ok. Like most stores, if they have what you are looking for then they are great. I would give the wine selection 5 stars for sure. The beer selection 4 stars. I order online from CO. A friend likes a certain beer from the East Coast. I get it for his birthday or certain holidays. I make sure to type delivery instructions. It is required for an adult to sign to receive the package. I live at an apartment. My instructions are that if I'm not home that any adult can sign for me at the office of this apartment complex. And I provide that address on the instructions. You can also include on the instructions to leave at delivery company's facility and you can pick it up. Beer is nicely packed. I get the bottle type. Instructions are important so the package won't go back to the delivery facility and that will avoid damage from all the delivery attempts. I am so happy that I found this company Best Cellars. It is very convenient to pay postage and avoid carring some when I tavel or asking someone to bring me some when they travel. read more

Best Cellars is one of the best all-around liquor stores that I have ever been to. The parking options are great, as there is street parking in the front of the store, but they also have their own private parking lot in the back. The selection of beer, wine and liquor is great, and the prices are certainly reasonable. I am a big craft beer guy, and they change up the selection plenty, so I am never bored with the selection. I never really had issues with the past ownership, but it definitely was not as functional as it is now. Jack and Vern are two employees who I have interacted with a ton and they are awesome guys. They're always willing to help me find what I need, and genuinely care about how I am doing in life. My foot has been injured and they always ask me how it is recovering. Jack is a great owner who keeps the store open no matter what. He is a grinder and will stay open when others don't. Highly recommend this place for all your alcohol needs! read more

This is a late review. But just found receipt. When I walked in the store back in May/2017 I think they literally just opened a week or two prior. The Rep was amazingly helpful. I wound up buying 2 bottles of Rose. I live in Staten Island otherwise I would be there more often. Good thing I have friends in neighboring town SH. I bookmarked this place so I know exactly where it is. I'm giving 4 stars b/c I have not been there since and hopefully the owner(s) have hired exceptionally better than average sales ppl who are cheery and helpful w/no attitude. I regularly shopped at the previous incarnation - A&P Liquors. The prices were good, but the staff was questionable and the store was in disrepair. When Best Cellars first took over last spring it seemed promising. For example, they put in a functioning credit card machine. Months later, you can only enter through the exit door because the entrance door has been broken for weeks. The parking lot is still a mess, with no discernible lines. The prices have crept up and the service is perhaps even worse than when it was the A&P. When I was in last week, three guys were hanging out at one end of the store. I'm not sure if they all worked there, but at least one was wearing a store shirt. I didn't follow the conversation, but noted at least 3 f-bombs. Not exactly appropriate vocabulary for work. When I went to pay, the guy at the counter made me wait until he took another handful of chips. Then I had to ask for a receipt. read more

I've shopped at this liquor store for years since before it changed from A&P. While many people were skeptical about the change in owners I decided to give it a shot anyway, for the most part I have been very pleased with my experiences and the new staff has always been helpful and friendly, until yesterday. I stopped in after work to pick up a bottle of wine on my way home and when I came through the doors I heard a bit of a fuss. I decided to mind my own business, went to the aisle and grabbed my bottle and headed to the register. When I approached the register I was appalled to see an older male employee (who to my knowledge is not the owner) yelling at a younger female employee. He was threatening her to get her fired and belittling her in front of a store full of customers! This was not only uncalled for but extremely unprofessional. I felt so bad for the girl behind the counter, who was extremely personable and kind when checking me out. This is NOT the example that should be set for men to treat women in the workplace, or anywhere for that matter, in this day and age! I was furious when I left the store.
