If you walk in the store and take a right you will see a long fridge full of chilled wine ready to drink and if you keep going towards the main entrance window you'll see a great selection of cigars including dominican. If you decide to take a left and go straight you'll run into the beer section. They have almost every single craft beer out there including Allagash white. One aisle to the right Italian wine, the next one over to the right is California white. Keep going right and you'll hit wine from Spain. Your hard liquor is on the back right corner as you walk in the store. They do have Pisco if you are interested in something new. Done I'm only taking one bottle of wine this time. The people ringing up were young and did not approached me to ask if I needed anything. No hard feelings. Credit card out, swipe done. If I were around Madison again, I'd stop by for sure. Not to mention when I go whale watching I take wine, hard seltzers, and pair them with New England style lobster rolls. Joe Canal's has shatterproof wine in various choices; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, Riesling, and Sangria. The prices are better than Costco's and BJ's in my humble opinion. They also carry high end cognac, tequila, scotch, and champagne. The service is wonderful, friendly, helpful, and they are very knowledgeable about all of the various alcoholic beverages they sell. The atmosphere is very organized, sections of the store have signs making it easy to find the type of alcohol you're searching for. The store has a section for THC- hard seltzers, and sodas. Never tried a THC- drink, too bad this was not around during college days. But it's here now, and as soon as I get the nerve to try it, will give a review. Their prices may not be the lowest, but their beer is ALWAYS COLD and you get a discount if it's not. [The difference is, they don't turn off their refrigerators overnight, apparently.] The guys are all friendly and have an awesome sense of humor, which makes each trip here worthwhile - I get my favorite beer and get told a new joke that is actually funny every time I go. Not that I'm trying to stitch the guys up by setting an expectation that they are obliged to come up with an original gag EVERY DAY, but it would be funny if that happened (literally, funny on a daily basis). Neighbors doubles down on this evolution by bringing that NYC-esque, intimate, personalized, boutique experience. Their offerings are carefully curated, ensuring the highest levels of quality, while remaining accessible and approachable for both the most uninitiated and the savviest drunkards, alike. Having started during the upside down (COVID), their business model has required some creativity. Instead of offering in-store shopping, you can roll up to their service window and take away, or you can call in or place an order online, to either pick up or have delivered locally. They are super helpful and offer great recommendations/suggestions when in doubt. I am always happy to see new independent businesses open in our towns, but when the proprietors are cool, salt of the earth folks offering products I love, it's even better.
