Terrible service. I came in at around 7:45pm hoping to purchase some high end items, but I couldn't get any help. Initially, I heard the Verizon Wireless vendor/sales rep ask a customer that was passing by if the needed help. However, she didn't extend that offer to anyone else waiting on a blue shirt associate. I went up to someone and he told me he would call someone over. 20 minutes later, no one came. It doesn't take multiple employees to do the same job if there's customers on the sales floor waiting to be assisted. I counted 2 other customers waiting for help. 30 minutes later, I left. I purchased a pair of AirPod Max headphones in December. Within a month, the right speaker experienced problems. I had the issue serviced at an Apple Genius Bar, and the issue persisted. So I went to where I purchased them, BestBuy in Utica. They too sent the headphones for repair. Issue persisted. At this point, I have had the headphones for less than 40 days, 2 repairs. BestBuy customer service told me that I should have been a plus member so I could have returns for up to 60 days vs 14. They refused to help me resolve my issue with these headphones even tho I made the purchase there. It was simply not their problem. I have a very bad experience about the whole process for audio wire and ethernet installation. The employee was very rude and not very clear. The personal relationship skills are very bad, I even feel that I am being discriminated. The attitude is not good. The work from start to finish was very stressful. No proper documentation No proper closure of work The money was collected based on the estimate Once the work is done there is no actual invoice I would not recommend anyone to go thru this terrible experience. Watched him begin the process and walk away before finally presenting the "completed" install. He said, "I hope this is ok, there's bubbles still here because of dirt from the opened package." I can't believe I'm going to review a chain store. However, I believe that where credit is due, it should be given. I have been coming to this Best Buy location for the past 17 years. I have never gone wrong. I came in today for a new computer. I am a nurse practitioner. Computers are not my strong point. But I told him my criteria and he was very patient. He explained the difference between several computers and was never condescending. I really wish I would have gotten his name He was amazing. He asked me about my criteria my wants my needs and my budget. He didn't try to sell me something that was overpriced, or out of my league. Based on what I was using it for he found a computer for me that was even below my actual budget. I'm sure the owners probably don't like that however I did still spend quite a bit of money on this computer.. As I said I have had nothing but that experience is from here I have bought several computers TVs printers and basically you name it. I love technology. I'm a gadget geek. That doesn't mean I know a lot about what I'm trying to talk about though. So it's nice that they are willing to always take the time to help me. Overall I definitely recommend this place for your technology needs, and I would and will be back. The geek squad alone is enough to make me come back. Have you tried them yet? They're amazing. When buying a surface pro they pushed so aggressively to keep adding things to the sale that they confused my girlfriend into believing she needed to buy 90 dollars of software she neither wanted, nor needed, because she became convinced her surface pro wouldn't work without it. I really hate coming into Best Buy because I will end up staying at this store for hours and hours. I somehow stand around in awe at all the technology and their huge selection of movies. I especially love the movie section because I am always looking for something new to watch, and I am a movie fanatic. They have amazing quality televisions for affordable prices. The selection of tv's accomodate anyone's needs. There is always an employee standing around different sections to help customer's. I came in on Black Friday and the store was busy, but the employees did a great job at traffic control. The lines went by super smoothly and all employees had great customer service skills. I was surprised to walk into the store and be greeted by a super energetic employee. We also got a nice new stereo put into our old car that we used to own. We even bought brand new speakers. It enhanced the sound throughout the entire car, and made our rides super enjoyable. read more

I talked to the tech over the phone and they said because the tv was pass the time to fix they would just give us a new one. So I set up an appointment. We have purchased a HPEnvy Laptop ($720 plus) on 08/10/2020 for our son for his online classes. This cpu is rated really well and sold even better by sales person at Best Buy Utica. Good guy-no complaints. It's not in stock, so they will ship to our home. Several days later, it arrives. All appears well, and it was used to download necessary apps for school in a few hours use and then set aside for 1st day of school...day after Labor Day. Hardware failure on cpu after 4 hours use. My wife calls this Best Buy and they told her unfortunately they will not help or are concerned at our loss because it has been more than 15 days from purchase on receipt. So we call Hp... They talk her into purchasing a service plan for $200 and literally 7 hours of customer support - it still does not function properly-malfunctions after a few hours use everyday. This cpu is Less than 1 month old and they will not send a new one in exchange of the one that does not function. They will not return or exchange it because it was over 15 days from the purchase date... Listen We were robbed, stay away from this store - Best Buy in general with regards... This place has the worse curbside service that I have ever experienced. I checked in to pick up my order and the app said it would be a 5 minute wait. 15 minutes later and still nobody showed up. I checked back in the app and it said it was going to be another 20 minutes. There was no option to cancel so I left. I tried calling them to let them know and waited on hold for 40 minutes. The backstory: I was looking for a particular Bluetooth audio transmitter (something that transmits TV audio to Bluetooth wireless headphones so that one can watch TV late at night without disturbing one's partner). Both this store and the one in Rochester Hills had 3 in stock per the Best Buy website. Rochester Hills: looked for it for a while, never gave me updates on their progress. They essentially threw up their hands and gave up. Utica: looked for it, gave me periodic updates of their progress. Ultimately, found not only it but a better buy that both received and transmitted. Folks looking for it were unfailingly pleasant. Bottom line: Utica is my new Best Buy. Rochester Hills: bye bye. read more

Sat here for 3 hours trying to activate a new phone and ended up being told there was some sort of error leading to not even being able to leave with an active, upgraded phone, until waiting 48 hours for an "error" to be lifted off the account...my biggest issue was this sales man waited to tell me this 3 hours after sitting there while I thought I was waiting for the new phone to activate, but really he had an error of some sort he never mentioned until, coincidentally, the store had closed. And yet, still was holding onto my old phone, and had deactivated it, so in order for me to even leave I had to sit and wait for him to REactivate my old phone and cancel the whole order. Total waste of time and don't recommend this place. On top of all of that, all the other employees were running around the store acting like fools the whole time. I received a text when item was on its way to my car. Best Buy employee checked my purchase code and placed item in the back of my SUV. The total time was 10 minutes and I was on my way. My son spent $60 on a headset for his PS4 December 26th,the microphone went out on January 17th, went to exchange it and was told it was past there 15 day return policy. SERIOUSLY NOT EVEN 1 month old and they wouldn't exchange or return it. They did offer to have me spend another $20 for the 2 year warranty then they would. SERIOUSLY spend 1/3 more on a warranty so you will exchange it. NO WAY!!!! Do the right thing as a human and just exchange it and make the customer happy. Instead I have to deal with the company. Over the past 5 weeks our refrigerator has been serviced 5 times. Today is November 6th 2019. They sent out geek squad Special forces? (A&E) Ahahahah. Only to tell us they now need to get other parts and won't return until November 15th. Mind you my refrigerator has been down since October 27th 2019. So it will be 20 days to see if this even fixes the issue. So imagine 20 days without a refrigerator. Oh and nothing they can do for us. No rushing the service regardless that it's been 5 attempts and 5 failed at fixing it. Or wait another 11 days before they can return. Robert (bob) the service tech was a joke. Jon Langtry the service tech was also a joke. Both mind you said we will never have a issue with this refrigerator again. 4x. Than to top it all off the special forces (A&E) team said they are not qualified to work on this type of product and should have called back in early October. Also said our $2500 refrigerator is a piece of crap. All the Samsung and LG appliances are junk. Just what you want your employees to say about your top dollar products you sell and up sell junk service contracts. September 16 now November 6th. AVOID BUYING PRINTERS I don't write reviews but I feel like customers need to be warned. I bought a HP printer here a couple days and the one I bought was suppose to come with an ink cartridge, when I bought it the employee behind the counter showed me on the receipt that I had a 15 day return policy on it. I took the product home, set the printer up and when I turn it on the printer was saying it was missing an ink cartridge and that the printer wasn't properly shut off. I thought this was odd so I start searching the box for the ink and there was no ink cartridge. Soon as I realized this I figured someone had bought this product before me, took the ink and returned the item back to Best Buy. A manager told me to bring the printer back in the store so they could inspect the box. He took the printer out and inspected the area where the ink should be and said they was previously ink in the printer, I then said ok I want to return the printer because I never received the full contents of the purchase. Then he proceeded to tell me that Best Buy will not return the printer because of ink scams and that it's in their return policy. So Best Buy allows you to buy the printer knowing that if there is anything wrong you won't be able to return it. I told the manager you should let the consumer know that there is no return policy on printers, he said can you imagine that conversation with every customer. I feel like As a customer I need to warn others that if you buy a printer here and there is something wrong they will not allow you to return it. They default the problem to they company that makes the product and you have to deal with them. Now I have to wait 15 days for HP to send me new ink. read more

An item online brought me to this location yesterday. I was looking for a present for my sons birthday which was the following day, yes I am the queen of procrastination! Anyways, my husband had already checked the Best Buy Chesterfield location on his way into work with no luck. I needed this present in my hand today, which was why I was here. Plenty of parking, with spots large enough to accommodate my giant party bus, Star 1. Upon entering the store I was promptly greeted by an employee standing at the welcome desk. I stood there for a moment gauging which direction I would walk, and the employee asked if I needed help, I declined but Star 2. I headed towards the middle of the store looking for some sort of toy section which I quickly found. I noticed that the store was extremely clean and the isles very wide allowing for lots of customers to wonder around, Star 3. I didn't find what I initially came and for which was a multi pack of Roblox, but I found single packs of figured which were a deep mark down to only $5.24! These things at Target are anywhere from $7.99 to $9.99 for one. I grabbed that were the most unique and headed to the check out. Did you know Best Buy price matches?? And they offer a window of time in case you find it cheaper or if they lower the price, you can get the difference back in your pocket- easy peasy! Star 4 for sure. I waited in line for all of 30 seconds before the friendly and chipper employee Adam helped me cash out. He asked how I was and if I found everything I needed to which I happily replied with an enthusiastic YES! I get excited about saving $$, what can I say. He asked if I was a reward member and I shot him my telephone number He gave me a quick total, I inserted my plastic, was handed my receipt and was on my way with a pleasant have a good day. I got my kids birthday gift and was in/out all in under 10 minutes. Star 5! Highly recommend this location. read more

On this past Friday I went to buy a higher end model with mounting brackets to replace the unit I purchase 31 days ago. I went to return that one today and John the manager said I could not return it and placed blame on the system because it was a day past the time I could return. I always shop local and now I have to go buy one on amazon and return the one I just bought this past Friday. I can give 0 stars if I can because they have the worst fucking customer service . We bought a washer with warranty and after a year it broke down so The warranty covered all the repair parts and fixing process but they never ever fixed it every time they would bring a new part to the washer and install it but end up telling us "unfortunately it's missing one more part " and keep in mind when u order a part it takes about 2 weeks to arrive then we have to call and make an appointment for them to come and install it. They kept telling us this part will be the last step of the fixing every fucking time. Fast forward , we were left with no washer for 2 months because of their bullshit. I bet they get paid extra every time they come install a part thats why they kept coming and going. Even with warranty you'll still get bad customer service somehow. Not to mention the endless hours of being on the phone with their customer service and getting nothing out of it. They ended up giving us a gift card with only$530 to buy a washer !!!! We bought ours last year for $900 so when we went to buy the same brand washer we had to pay the rest of the money even tho we have the right of a full refund. After they finally deliver and install the new washer , it turns out it's damaged, there was a dent on it when they were moving in or out of the truck. So now they told us we were eligible for an exchange with a new washer , I've been on the phone with their customer and they're telling me there's no exchange in my file .... I went to Best Buy today for a small T.V. for the kitchen, where do I start! There were maybe 15 customers in the store as I made my way to the T.V. department and began looking on the wall of screens for a smaller (24"-28") T.V. for our kitchen. I ended up walking the aisles until I found what I was looking for and started to make my way to the cashier when I realized there were 3 sales associates standing in the department just ignoring me. After a 5-year boycott I decided to give Best Buy another chance. I was very pleasantly surprised to find this particular store a new source for our electronic needs. From the greeter at the door to an amazing sales rep who knew his stuff and acknowledged my homework, the experience was totally positive. It was near their closing time on a Friday night, but we were afforded all the time it took to complete the deal. After spending a lot of time on line researching, coupled with this agent's knowledge and experience, we made a choice for our notebook and were guided through the available options. Decisions made, he arranged for the Geek Squad to come on board and we left the store feeling very pleased with our decisions. I returned to the store to pick up my new computer. The Geek Squad rep was amazing, patient and explained and answered every single question. I was able to leave our backup laptop with him for a no-fee fix (included with the service package we bought), and have already had email communication from them about the progress. I have to say after my former lack-luster experience, this is a welcome and pleasant change. I would highly recommend this store and will be shopping there again and again. read more
