Best Buy really delivered (pun intended) on their curbside pickup option. I was on the hunt for a popular smartphone accessory, which was sold out at the two closest stores to me. One of the employees found it at this location and walked me through the order process. Best Buy doesn't have free Wi-Fi, so the employee typed in the store password for me. I loved how he sanitized his hands before touching my phone! I wasn't sure if the order would go through by the time I reached this location, but it did. I thought it might be easier to go into the store myself, but parking in this very busy plaza can be hectic. There are a few dedicated spots right in front for curbside pickups. I checked in online, using the "ready for pickup" email. It took a few minutes, but an employee came out and checked my two pieces of ID. She placed the item in my trunk, and gave me some time to check the order before leaving. Off I went, easy breezy! I will definitely take advantage of this service again. read more

Had absolutely the worst possible experience today with the Team lead doing the customer service for a prepaid phone plan (Ashya I believe was his name tag definately said Team Lead). first he writes down the best offer and then tries to drown me in more options and actually tries to hide the best deal from me; all part of their marketing tricks. I came home looked at the paper and realized I wasted all my time. It is absolutely shameful what big Organizations are doing to honesty and good old north American values just for personal gain. I won't even go back to BestBuy ever after this ever. Hopefully someday people (if you can call them people :)) will understand that REAL VALUES will bring REAL WEALTH. I'll go to the provider directly from now on when I want to get a phone and I suggest everyone else does the same. read more

Went in to buy a TV and 3 different employees gave me different information about a payment inquiry. When settled with the last sales person, he was nice and said that we should be good to go. The manager then came up and changed the whole transaction and was acting extremely rude even though they were the ones making mistakes. The woman was very cocky about being the manager when clearly she wasn't doing it right. Bad service and no one knows the right information. Ended up leaving as it was a waste of time. read more

If I could put negative stars I would. NO SOCIAL DISTANCING IS HAPPENING!!! All the employees are in the back room sharing food and over capacity. They rarely are monitoring the amount of people coming in! I worked as an employee for one day and walked out! I saw employees coughing, taking their masks off, eating food in the store with their mask off! i am still waiting for a $100 refund from "the marketplace". First, they gave me a partial refund. They have been well alerted regarding the money they owe me. It has now been many weeks. The staff at the Leaside store do not know the products that they sell, and lack knowledge that one would expect of someone in the retail computer and electronics business. They are even confused about basic components and how they are used. Worse, if they don't know the answer they will point you to the wrong section of the store just to get rid of you. Likewise if you do find the item and come back to show the staff member what it was you were looking for they show absolutely no interest in learning about it, and if anything act as if they cannot wait for you to go away. So you are on your own and generally have to find the item yourself. I have had this happen far too consistently so I am simply not going to be buying from that store any more. It's a shame because I have bought items there since they opened, and in the beginning they had knowledgeable staff who provided good customer service. read more

If I could give 0 stars for a rating I would have. Save your time and effort ordering anything on sale from Best Buy online. Three times since November we had made a purchase online only to be told three weeks later that there was a "security issue" with the purchase. Obviously a ploy to get you to purchase other products at the same time. This is Best Buy's excuse for never having the product in stock. If you buy a television here check the model number on the box before leaving. I bought a newer TV and they loaded the old model into my car. Luckily I noticed before I pulled away. If it was an accident then fine, but I don't think this was an accident. How do you scan and charge me for the new SKU and give me the old one? Good way to scam clueless customers though. Great Location, close to midtown. Amazing music, they were pumping dank music and there was even a store greeter that I felt I can say just about anything that was on my mind. They had all the latest tech watches from Garmin, Apply to brands I did not recognize right near the front of the store. Also, they had a nice, what I felt was a 27" curved monitor just chilling near the front for some massive eye candy. The store is massive honestly, blows my mind. Right off Eglington (lots of construction now coz LRT) but the plaza has a winners and sportcheck next door. Great plaza. read more

I went to this Best Buy's Geek Squad to have a power jack in a laptop repaired. They sent it off. About ten days later, I get a call that the motherboard needs to be replaced--cost $600. I said no, the computer was working fine other than the power jack problem. I found another computer repair shop in Toronto that will do the repair for $75 - $95. I don't blame the local Geek Squad guys--but you know that some people in corporate were sitting around a conference table dreaming up ways to gouge the customers and thereby reap some big bonuses. Also, the store on Laird doesn't answer its phone. You can call and call and call, and no matter which option you pick, the call is disconnected. I'm not going to Best Buy for anything else--and most certainly am never going to use the Geek Squad again. When you treat your customers like they are the village idiot, you are going to lose them. So much for the "smart guys" sitting around that conference table! Postscript: I went to Laptop Specialist at 2914 Sheppard Avenue East and the proprietor, Jeff, installed a new power jack in my laptop for $75. He said that replacing the motherboard would have done nothing to fix the loose power jack. That's where I'm going for any future laptop repairs. If Best Buy doesn't get its customer service out of free fall, it's going to end up just like Circuit City! read more

The location is great for Toronto- but the customer service needs improvement. I have been having countless issues with a laptop and brought it in today for a repair and the Geek Squad manager was quite rude to me. He did not seem to be on my side and kept questioning if I was being honest about my warranty policy and issues. It was a bad experience. You would think that the employee would want to help you resolve and issue, not question if you're being honest. Brought my computer in which was not showing its display. I payed for Geek Squad to do a full diagnostics, clone my windows onto a new hard drive, and dust/clean my computer. Over 2 weeks later i got it back. They had said that they could not fix anything because my power supply and motherboard were broken. They gave me a 75% refund because they said they did nothing on the computer. I cut my losses and left. When i had a friend over to look at it; i was disgusted to open my case and find that my power supply was working fine and they had undocked my hard drives to look at them. Instead of re mounting them they had shoved them along with the wiring into a corner into the computer. It was not a level of respect i would have expected from geek squad for tech as components can be fragile. Overall staff were generally apathetic and cared little. They outsource computer repairs causing a disconnect in communications to the client/customer. read more

Store has amazing service. When returning a product you purchased, it is very simple to return the item. They will accept returns no questions asked. In some areas, the store lacks knowledge. They don't know very much about Apple products or the musical instruments. Other than that, great service. read more

This Best Buy is usually well stocked with helpful staff. One time I had been one day off on a warranty and they honored it in a roundabout way. It's always nice when customer service is of actual service. However, I did have issues with this Best Buy mobile location but eventually it was resolved. I find this location not as crazy as Yonge & Dundas nor the Warden location. read more

The store is located in a large shopping complex and there are two buses in the immediate area. I find everyone to be very helpful, there just may not be someone always available in every section. Also, they're are undergoing a major renovation. read more

Worst customer service. I was in the market for a TV however ONLY if it could be installed by the weekend. Hassan looked in his computer, said there were no appointments available for installation in such a short time. Thats fair so I said no prob thanks and was ready to walk away until he pulled out a magic phone that he used to call someone and he said "OK we can have it done by the weekend" that should have been my first clue there was something wrong. Long story short - no one showed up to install it and I had to go back to return everything. Waste of time. Buyers beware of Best Buy Online Purchases . I've been waiting 1 month to return a defective TV. I ordered a Sony TV from Best Buy, received the TV on November 15, 2013 it was defective, now it's Dec 24, 2013 and they have not pickup the TV yet and they can not tell me when the TV will get picked up, I've call about 15 times email maybe 8 times the all say sorry but nothing gets done. They have my $1500.00 dollars and I have a defective TV that's sitting in my hallway. Great service Best Buy, you will be out of business soon treating customers like this. Many thanks to the customer service staff today who spent quite a bit of time with me trying to locate a receipt from an item purchased at another store. It was not found but the information they gave me led to another awesome staff person at a different Best Buy who finally located what I was looking for! Kudos to you. I went to this Best Buy store on three consecutive days. On the first day I went to buy a DVD/VCR. Not being able to hook it up effectively, I returned to the same Best Buy store on the next day. That day was a Saturday and it was extremely busy. I waited 20 minutes for "customer support" from a lady in the Home Theatre department. I told her that I hadn't been able to effectively connect the DVD/VCR properly and I felt I was missing a cable. I asked repeatedly if I needed another cable for the machine and showed her the DVD/VCR I had bought from the same store. Again the customer service lady said I didn't need a cable. I left without purchasing anything. The next day I asked someone to take a look at my connections. This person confirmed I needed another cable and told me which one I needed. I went back to the same Best Buy and found the cable on my own. Now I know mistakes happen, but I took huge photographs of the hookups for my cable box and television to the Best Buy store, in the hopes that having customer service see the current hook ups would get me correct information. That obviously didn't work. Also, the attitude of the customer service lady left a lot to be desired. For instance, I asked if she frequently got this question about this machine. She haughtily said no and that "most people" can figure it out by playing around with the cables. As a female I hate to say this, but avoid the short female in Home Theatre unless you are a technology pro. read more
