I bought a shark stratus vacuum robot from Best buy in Springfield MO on 05/01/2026. The brush motor failed on 05/21/26. I called shark to get a warranty started-the pods are on backorder-they advised I reach out to the store I purchased it from as they have them in stock. I called to see if they would exchange the pod for me as I just spend a small fortune on this robot vacuum and was advised since I was over the 15 day window, they will not be able to do anything. REALLY!!!!! I know have a very expensive paperweight for who knows how long that I JUST Bought!!!!! Best Buy-do better for your customers! If you are not going to stand behind anything you sell for more than 15 days-you do not deserve to be in business -just my 2 cents. Definitely a mistake I will never ever make again. read more

I bought a TV from Best Buy via Amazon with free delivery. The TV was delivered dine and on time but is a piece of junk-- apps not working; stalling; blank screen; horrible navigation. I thought I was upgrading from my 2017 70" 4k to this 2026 85 inch '4k'. Wrong. The picture on my 2017 is far superior even though it is by no means a top tier tv. There is a 30 day return so I decided to send it back. They said no problem, but it would cost me $99.99 to pick up or bring it in myself-- so I guess I'd have to rent a truck and also find someone who's not too busy to help me. I was on the phone (mostly on hold) with customer service getting the runaround for about a day and a half before for they finally gave in and will pick it up at no charge and give me a full refund, which I'll be checking to see if they actually do once it's been picked up. The customer service was horrible (also very rude mostly) from start to finish with the exception of the last young man who helped me I was livid at this point but he was patient and kind-- the only one out of the many I talked to there. One guy had even said that since it was delivered free they had to charge me to pick it up. I'm not sure how that makes sense. I've not done much business with Best Buy over the years but have bought a few laptops from there and a TV back in the tube days. This TV was my final purchase from BB. I will never be going back or ordering from them again. Frankly with all the one star reviews on here I don't see how they stay in business. read more

Purchased a refrigerator on Dec. 6. Was supposed to be delivered on the 22nd. It has been delayed 3 times and we are being told it was because we ordered it in green. We have attempted to change the color to black because we could get it more quickly and they won't honor the sale price we purchased it at. So, we have no refrigerator; don't know when it will actually get here; could change the color to black and we'd have it in a week but they want us to pay the additional $300 since it's not on sale anymore. I've never heard of such a thing from a company of this size. Why would you not honor the sale price since you have nothing at this point in time. read more

HORRIBLE, PATHETIC Customer service. Best Buy should go out of business. They don't value customers. Don't bother making an appointment with Geek Squad, they don't honor appointments. Walk-ins are served before any appointments, so why bother. Waited over 1 hour after my appointment only to be told to make another appointment in a few days despite being told they had the parts and could replace the phone screen on the spot. All the walk-ins in front of me preceded my repair. Was told by pathetic staff member I could speak to his manager, but why bother. Placed an order for an item online today, to be picked up in the store. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that one of the seals on the item looked like it had been tampered with. I wasn't convinced the item had not been previously returned so I asked them about swapping it out for another item. I was told the item I was holding was the only one in the store. So I left and as I got out to my car, I didn't trust what I had been told and I thought, 'I'm going to go check and see if there is another one.' Sure enough, I went back to that part of the store and there was another item, sitting right there on the shelf. The seals on that item were perfect. Putting aside the issue of whether or not the first one had been returned, I don't even know if the person at the counter was even talking to someone on the radio...if they were, it seems pretty clear they were not being honest with me. My guess is that they were too lazy to go actually check the item and just made something up to get me to leave. In any case, I won't be returning to this store. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I bought a LG washer and dryer back in May. They upsold me the best buy total coverage.....the one where if anything goes wrong they will come to your residence and either repair or replace the appliance. Well June 14 the dryer died, they send someone out and eventually agree the dryer should be replaced and they would be in contact. Now I have been reacheduled to JULY 23 because they say they dont have any. I email the salesperson that sold it to me, they have one at the local best buy where I bought it an hour and a half away IF i want to bring them the dryer and exchange it, or I can wait the almost 2 months to July 23. So I paid $180 for my best buy total so I could either wait almost 2 months,OR I could do all the work myself. Sounds like a scam to me. read more

My mom is a member of the the Best Buy frequent flyer program that gives you access to the Geek Squad and she bought a HP Laptop and a wireless printer and the squad helped her with the complete set up. We appreciated it so much as I would have been of very little assistance as I'm not tech savvy at all. On Monday I attempted to turn on my own HP laptop that I've had for several years but my screen stayed completely black. I carried it around and after plugging into multiple outlets nothing happened. I considered Best Buy and Target as my best options and started with and stayed with Best Buy. I like that as soon as you walk through the entrance there is no concern that you will have to wander around looking for assistance because they have one or more employees set up right at the entrance to get assistance heading your way. That's smart customer service. I like that I was shown multiple options and had the laptop features explained to me so that I was confident in the choice I was making for my needs and for my budget. Best Buy is going to be one stop shopping for you when it comes to computer purchases and accessories. read more

Best buy geek squad tried to have me buy their service with all the money up front, before any service had been given. I told them I would give them 50 % up front in cash, check or card, and the rest after their service proved to be as their guaranty performance. They declined, and I refused to hire them. If this is their business manner, it sucks as their service probably does too. No wonder they went out of business at one time. I would not do business with this company. read more

I ordered online for instore pick up. I entered store 2 hours after purchase. I was told it wasn't ready but they could prioritize it and be ready in 15 minutes. I was also offered an option to just grab the same model on the floor(2 were available) but I would have to cancel my online order and wait 2 days for a refund and purchase the floor item separately which to me is just completely asinine. 40 minutes went by before I finally asked the guy " is anyone of you going to bring my freezer up here, There are 5 of you standing up here checking your phones" Then a different guy looked up the order and said "give me a minute" and a different guy came up with my fridge. What it boils down to is because I paid for my order 2 hours in advance It cost me 40+ extra minutes of standing in the store wasting my day. Customer service is obviously a foreign concept at this store! I will never order best buy again.. including the $700 Chromebook I planned on buying next week! read more

3 stars because manager Cameron wouldn't honor the sale price listed on a refrigerator. The refrigerator was on sale listing also availability in other color options. We are shopping for white. At the checkout white didn't ring up for the sale price. It was $500 more. I discussed with Cameron the sale promotion didn't say stainless steel only. The sign says also available in these colors. I am a graduate student looking for a tablet with a pen. We found a Samsung tablet advertised with a pen and a keyboard that came in different colors. The associate at the store first said none of the colors were available, which was fine. He brought us the black one and we purchased it. We get home to find the keyboard not with it. When my hudband took it back to the store, we found the keyboard was not a part of the deal, even though it was advertised online and in the store with the keyboard. Nowhere did it say the keyboard was not part of what we were buying. I feel like I got baited and switched. We were able to return the item and get our money back, but I feel like the customer service was terrible! read more

Last Thursday I bought a $2699 OLED tv and a $1699 digital camera and lens. They didn't have the camera bundle in stock so we had to order it. My wife found both items on Amazon slightly cheaper with free 2 day shipping. I told her to go with Best Buy in case something went wrong I felt more comfortable since we are spending almost $5000. So we ordered the tv paid for delivery and order the camera to be shipped. The rep sold me a protection plan for an additional $179 or so citing that they will cover us in anything and can even waive restocking fees etc if needed. Knowing the restock fee would be approx the price of the membership I went for it. Tv was delivered. Service there was good. As for the camera my wife opens the lens that appeared dirty or scratched. We wiped it off but she still saw a small scratch in it and asked me to take it back and just exchange for a new one as this one appeared open box with a slight scratch on it. I go back to Best Buy to do the exchange. There they say it is not damaged and required a 15% restocking fee which totaled almost $200. I explained what had happened and still they wouldn't do the exchange or waive the restocking fee saying that the kens was dirty but not damaged. He wiped it off and gave it back to me and I'm out of luck and that I was lied to on the membership. Ok, that's frustrating, but what really bugs me about all this is I could have saved some money and trouble by simply ordering it on Amazon. I had to wait for it to be shipped to me anyway and can't take it back without paying more and the items appears to be used anyway. If I wanted a used or refurbished one I could have and it would have been even less, but we wanted new. So now the question becomes, why do we need physical stores and will they continue to exist? For me I learned my lesson and will just stick with online for my purchases no matter how big they are. With their return policies and being willing to make the customer happy I see no reason to go to Best Buy ever. Sadly you will just go to Best Buy to look at the products you buy online or skip it read some reviews online and order it knowing that they will take it back with no restocking fee for no reason at all. The Best Buy in Springfield, MO was beyond the worst experience I've ever had shopping or having a repair done. They did take the phone at the scheduled appointment time but did not inform anybody that it would no longer work as a phone. If this was stated I would not have had it done and paid $500 and used my phone insurance instead. Trying to reach somebody to resolve this issue is impossible. When I asked to speak with the manager, the Geek Squad employee stated the manager was busy and placed me on hold for 25 minutes (literally). After 25min, the employee got back on the phone and said the manager wasn't answering his radio but it didn't matter because the manager doesn't know his job and would just hand the phone back to him. He also stated his manager doesn't know his job , this gives me confidence in all of Best Buy. Instead of solving or making this better all of the blame has been placed with Apple or my phone carrier. Again I was not told that I would have a phone that if not connected to wifi would essentially be useless. read more

I have had good and bad experiences at Best Buy. Cameron was very helpful when i bought a new computer after breaking my HP all in one which i loved. I was simply out $1300 because i didn't buy the protection plan. Cameron advised buying it with the new all in one and i'm glad i did. About three weeks after getting my new computer, it also ended up needing replaced and with the protection plan i got a new replacement. However, that was delayed because i got notifications the new pc was ready to pick up but when i got there i was informed it actually was still at the repair place. So more days go by and another notice to pick up but this time I was able to call the store DIRECTLY instead of a foreign call center because i had saved a number when one of the store people had called me. And they tell me the product arrived damaged! So i couldn't pick up again. I don't remember how i found out but it turns out one of the employees had dropped the computer when unpacking it. It was another delay but i got my new computer finally. Even though that was a pain in the rear, i am glad i got the protection plan and have received big discounts on other purchases like my cricut heat press! read more

Get an extended warranty on every piece of electronic merchandise you buy from here!!! I have bought four expensive electronics from here, and all them have malfunctioned! First a Garmin watch that lasted about 4 months, then a modem that lasted 8 months, a drone that lasted 2 weeks, and finally a GoPro that I've had 1 month! I'm never buying anything here again, pretty sad when Walmart's products are more reliable than Best Buy's!!! read more

I needed a Sine-wave power UPS, sku 6408459. Model said "Ready in 1 hour" so I drove there. They didn't have it but were happy to order it for me. Talk about BAIT & SWITCH! I ordered it since I was there. Now, a couple of months later, I need another one. This time, it says "Get it today - Tue, Sep 5". I wasn't sure if that meant at the store or home so I called them. He said they don't have it but that I could have it delivered sometime between Sep 7-11! that is hardly TODAY! This continual BAIT & SWITCH makes me very angry. I asked to speak to a manager and was told managers don't accept calls. What?? So there is nothing to do but put up with their LIES and BAIT & SWITCH tactics, because they are big and there is nothing I can do. They ignored me and the person in front of me until I got to the front of the line and then an employee tells us to come back tomorrow because we didn't make an appointment (they told the person in front of me the same). I recently purchased my 3rd laptop from Best Buy. I bought an HP laptop and the $80 set up plan. I left my laptop around noon w/ the geek squad for set up and was told it would be ready by 4p. Every trip from my house to BB is 30 MINUTES! I returned at 6 pm (2hrs later than promised). I was told it was not ready. Annoyed, I went back home. I called the store about 8 p to check on the status. The clerk said it would be ready before closing. At 8:15p I started my 3rd trip of the day back to BB! I got to BB and the computer was still not ready. I was there 15 minutes to closing time and 9 hrs after I left the laptop! I drove a TOTAL OF 3 hours in the same day back and forth to BB. The clerk said they would not leave until the laptop was finished. It was already 8:45 and I did not have the time to wait for an UNDETERMINED amount of time. I picked it up the next day - w/ another trip to BB. Yes, I was anxious to get my laptop home, but I would not have driven to pick it up the second time, if I hadn't been told it would be ready before closing (9pm). However, if you are told your item will be ready at 2p and it isn't ready by even 9pm, there is a problem! If only I knew a lot about computers!!! read more

Went to the store when I received notification and checked in upon arrival. After waiting almost an hour I went inside and was told 'they' had not brought up the item yet. Today ordered a WiFi router for pickup and 5 hours later went to the store to be told 'they' were busy and had not processed the order yet. And instead of walking across the store to get the item the 'customer service' rep told me there was nothing I could do but wait. Well 'they' won't be as busy now because I canceled the order and went up the street to buy the router elsewhere. read more

I have always been a big fan of Best Buy, but their company has changed so much. I went into the store to get help with a monitor and explain my situation, and the young man sold me the wrong one. I have a desk riser so I needed the screens to be the same size And the connection in the back to be the same. None of those were correct. I called in and got someone who could not speak very good English, and was totally unhelpful. I can assure you I am done using them for all of my purchases. I cannot overstate the extent to which this Best Buy location goes out of its way to insult the intelligence of the poor souls who patronize it. Having previously visited the store for a simple iPhone screen protector (and foolishly agreed to let them install it), I should have already known what I was getting myself into when I returned recently to take advantage of the $30 battery swap Apple is offering for its older devices. Unfortunately, this is the only Springfield location listed on the Apple service page, so I begrudgingly scheduled an appointment. I took an afternoon off work, drove to the south side and I waited in line for 20 minutes only to have a member of the so-called "Geek Squad" tell me the following pieces of information: - They don't have any iPhone 6 batteries in stock. - They don't know when they'll get any iPhone 6 batteries in stock. - They can't call or otherwise take steps to proactively notify me when they get any iPhone 6 batteries in stock. - If/When they ever DO get them in stock, and I happen to learn about it at exactly the right time to make an appointment, they will need to keep my phone for *48 HOURS* to complete the replacement. I doubt there is a person alive who would find those conditions acceptable, including the store's manager, which means having them in place can only be a willful effort to avoid providing the promised service. To that, I can only say, "Point taken." I will take my electronics and my money somewhere else. read more

Best Buy mysteriously canceled an order that I had placed to be shipped to store. I called customer service to see why this was and the girl I spoke to offered to have the thing shipped my house for a greater cost and I said no thank you. The women I spoke to placed the order anyways despite my request. So I immediately called again when I saw this happened and I was told I had to go into store to get it fixed. I came into the store and they told me I had to wait over a week to get the game then return it and offered nothing for the inconvenience of running back and forth between customer service and the store. The only good thing I could say about this situation was the people I spoke to were very kind in the store. I purchased at new Maytag washing machine at the Best Buy in Springfield, MO, on June 8 and it was delivered on June 13. It stopped agitating on June 21 and ruined a load of whites. I arranged for a service call, which took place on July 1. The repairman indicated I needed a new part which was on back order, no ETA. I called Best Buy and at first was told I was within the window of exchange for a new washer. He then came back and said I was not in the window and they only thing they could do was schedule a service call. I told him once again, I already had the service call and the part in question was on backorder. He said then there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to talk to a supervisor, but was denied that request. The washer worked one week, instead of asking "what can we do to make this right?" I got we can't help you. read more

Here's the deal. We got a dent-n-ding f ridge worth $1600 for only $800. The sales person said there was nothing wrong with it, they were selling it at half price because it was returned, so I bought it. The minute it was installed, the icemaker started leaking all over my kitchen floor. I called (and documented every call, how long, what was said, who I talked to) and had two repairmen to the house. They said the repair would cost more than the fridge. THANK GOD I got a warranty! I had to show them the fine print on the warranty that said I would get a replacement of similar quality/performance, and they gave me a brand new, same-brand model that was worth $1600. If you buy the warranty, and keep records of all your calls like I do, then do it, otherwise, shop somewhere else! read more
