This review is for the Geek Squad. A special shout out to Christopher!! He took my call into the Squad and patiently explained what I needed, how much and how long it would take. When I arrived to the store drop off I was told that I had to wait for an hour with only 2 customers ahead of me. After 20 minutes I called Christopher who came right out from the back and had my laptop registered on ready for repairs. I mentioned to him a lady that was already waiting for over an hour. He also took care of her. Christopher is the face of GREAT customer service! Give him a raise!!! On My 11 my daughter and I went to BestBuy to purchase the new iPhones. The salesman, Jose, encouraged us to switch to Verizon to get the phones free. He made several guarantees in the pitch. 1) He said our activation fee of $60 per line (we have 3 lines) would be waved; 2) he said they would pay off my daughter's current phone and to watch for it so that phone could be transferred to someone else; and 3) if we get the Verizon app and autopay we'll get $30 off our bill each month. I got the app and signed up for autopay, and two weeks later I autopaid Verizon $281. They did NOT deduct the activation fee for each of the 3 lines. I call Jose on May 22 and he said he would contact his manager Nicki and have her make sure that I was reimbursed. On the 24th, I called Jose again, he texted saying he told his manager and she would fix it today. May 25th Jose texted me and said they were about to look into my account. Later that day he texted it will be "added on Tuesday" to what, I don't know. Here we are two weeks later and the money still hasn't been credited to my account. Also, I had to search in the Verizon app and found a rebate area to prompt them to pay off my daughter's phone. I guess that was not something they were just going to automatically take care of, like he implied- I had to find it and request it. read more

I was originally sent by Verizon to Best Buy to pickup a new cellphone. When I arrived at Best Buy, I was warmly greeted by an employee at the front door and I explained my mission. He correctly directed me to their pickup department where I learned my new iPhone had not been sent directly to their store but instead had been sent to a nearby vendor location. Best Buy gave me perfect instructions to the vendor's store where o wasted 5-6 hours just trying to pickup my new cellphone. But that's another review... and, it won't be favorable at all, like this one. Great job Best Buy! read more

Lucky for me I knew kinda of what I wanted. 8-10 associates have walked by me on most of the aisles I visited and not one asked if I needed some help. I came in looking for a VCR head cleaner and I already know what you may be thinking, why in the world would I have a VCR TV? Because for one I'm not a jump on the wagon to technology kind of person. I don't follow trends nor fads.. I am my own person and prefer older things because I know they work well, it's not bad thing. Anywho, after searching around the store for the product that my eyes couldn't find on its own. I asked numerous associates about the product I needed and they were simply dumbfounded about the cleaner. I mean, it hasn't been that long that VCR TV's haven't been used..and it's a part of history.. Well, I finally found someone who knew exactly what I needed and he was at first, clueless, but knew where it was located in the store which was a plus. It was after I told him I'd researched it online on their website. Trevor was the young lad that assisted me. Such a great guy and knowledgable too! As soon as I found it for me, I was surely very happy. Although, the price was $7; not too expensive to fix the TV. By the way, the cleaner worked perfectly! It cleaned up my new used TV that my boyfriend bought for $8 off of 5 miles and wow, it's definitely a jewel to know that Best Buy is the only store that still sells these. I waited 2 weeks for a Gaming Pc to be repaired But realized no workers were working on it till a very long time

It was just okay, since this was my first time here. My review was based on my experience for that day. I saw quite a few store clerks standing around and looked very unproductive. I asked a store clerk about a TV antenna. She pointed a direction and said, "It's over there" without exact location. That's odd. Every Best Buy that I've been to, they all have the same attitude of "not my department". While I was at the TV department, I happened to see a 4K TV hiding behind a wall facing back. I took my laptop to Geek Squad because of a microphone issue, and they were quickly able to identify that it needed to be shipped for repairs. Unfortunately, UPS lost my laptop in transport between the Best Buy and their repair center. Keep in mind- this is UPS's fault, not Best Buy. I let Best Buy know a few days after my laptop was supposed to be returned to me that my tracking number wasn't showing any updates. They looked into my issue in a matter of hours, apologized that it had been lost, and offered to replace my laptop to the newest version immediately. In a situation that was very stressful for me, as a student during COVID-19 where learning is remote, they took what UPS screwed up and made it right. Issues are always going to occur in any business. How Best Buy handled the issue and their effort to make right by me, a customer, truly shows their professionalism and compassion. read more

Today I went in and picked up a tv with the intent of just walking in and out. Found a 75" Samsung and the guys said we have one up front as a canceled order so I said I'd take it. I got home and the box was missing a remote and power cable. The bottom corner of the tv was cracked. So I loaded it up and went back to the store. The manager there Rogelio Silva told me it sounds like a problem for Samsung and they sent me off. I told them I literally bought this an hour ago. And nobody was able to help me with a solution. I was willing to buy another bigger tv and pay the difference but they said there's nothing they can do. I called corporate and they said it bewilders them how poorly the situation was treated. Corporate number literally set up an appointment for someone to come out with a new tv and return my old one. Thank you Best Buy for this. I do not recommend this store to anyone. As soon as I walked in I asked the greater where to find a usb A to usb C cord. I was directed to cell phone accessories and he called a guy to help me. The guy meet me on the way showed me what I was looking for I needed the cord for hacking my switch (if anyone knows how and lives around this area contact me I might just pay you to do it) there was a 6foot cord for 20$ and a 10 foot for 14$ very odd so I went with the 10 foot. I took one and went to check out the switch stuff. While there I saw a Zelda controller that had the cord I wanted for 20$ so I killed 2 birds with one stone. read more

I was attempting to verify stock with an in store employee for a $1,000 watch which said there was only one left. Having used to work in retail, I know inventory counts can often show one in stock when there is actually none. I called and got connected to their call center who was unhelpful and stated that they do not offer the ability to speak to an in store employee to verify stock. Best buy lost out on a sale because of this. Its mind boggling to me that I cant speak to an in store employee. Ill be buying elsewhere who can verify stock. read more

After a very very frustrating day with Sears, we headed over to Best Buy hoping to get a washer and dryer and a good delivery time. Is that really too much to ask!? Nope not here! We were greeted friendly by Rob who told us to feel free to look around and let any of them know if we needed anything, even admitting up front that they didn't work on commission. Honest and nice, wow! So we settled on a large capacity set (which was actually even cheaper than Sears) and called one of them over to order. Unfortunately, theat particular set was backordered but they quickly offered the display models and a discount on them!!! We finalized with Ryan and Rob and both of them were nice, competent, funny and had superior customer service skills. They set us up with the delivery in which the customer picks the time (imagine that Sears!!!). Voila! Done. In and out in 30 minutes and with a better deal!! read more

Really didn't expect to have anything negative to say about this business but if you are wanting to get a car alarm installed AVOID this place like the plague. Can't speak for others experiences but I will say mine was a horrific ordeal that lasted over a week, between the inept technician Kody Kyle that they have in their employ and the managers that coddle their employees as opposed to making the customers experience; you know the people who are spending their money, a little bit better. Long story short I was able to get it pulled and refunded which was definitely a blessing. If you are looking for a really good electronics store, keep searching. This particular store was nice and neat, but when I had spoken to the Geek squad computer "experts" my opinion of the store lessened due to two reasons: 1. The ones I spoke to were very "meh" and "okay" and I could not even get a slight interest in what I was doing from them. It was on the verge of being rude. 2.When asking about hardware, they would seem like that hardly knew what they were talking about. The lack of professionalism in general was bad, but not knowing about your own field and acting under the title of "expert" does not make sense. Secondly I have bought two products here, and both have gone bad, or needed to be exchanged within weeks of purchase. I may of been unlucky, but that seems poor. I own a local business and go to this store for almost every electronic gadget I need for my business or home! I'm one of those guys that likes to deal with one or two people. You know the ones that understand your needs and such, or the one you can tell "I need the best 42 inch plasma, under $1000" and they will show you exactly what you need and tell you everything you need to know about it, SO when I go in here I like to deal with RYAN (works in appliances) and RICKY (works in cell phones) between these two guys they got the entire store cover. They can tell you about computers, music, cameras, their own areas (appliances & cell phones), etc ... YOU JUST CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THEM!!! read more

The black tie protection plan is a joke. If anything were to go wrong with your electronics they have to "send it off" because they are incapable of fixing it there in store. I am all about customer service and I didn't feel like I was treated like a loyal customer. The "kid" that helped me out took my electronic too the back and didn't say what he was going to do with it. For all I know he could of been tampering with it. When he came back to the desk he plugged it in and then left it on the desk.....when he finally finished typing gods knows what on the computer he said it will take no less than 14 days for them to "find out" what's wrong with it. In the mean time I'm S.O.L. Treat every customer as if they were your employee. I am sure if it was an employee's electronics then I am sure the customers service department would of have gone out of their way to help them out. The customer service is based in Panama City Panama and at a position where communication is key they Being Best Buy and the geek squad decided that someone you can't communicate with should get a lead Communication job. They also hire third-party groups who have the competency of a elementary school student to Service your order. On top of that after taking my money off my card in less than two minutes they can't give you a refund for almost 25 days according to the communication specialist in Panama City Panama. Some of the staff here seem to be quite friendly and helpful but not so much for others. Recently I had to return an item twelve days after being purchased, when I got the chance to explain the situation to the lady at customer service, she pointed out that an exchange or a refund (in the form of a gift card) were my only options as I had missed the date to return the item for a cash refund. However, that information contradicts store policy for returns/exchanges which is 15 days from original purchase date on most items. Yes perhaps this was an honest mistake but to me this felt like a method to take advantage of misinformed customers. I wouldn't stop anyone from visiting this location but I would advice them to research store policies and product reviews before making a purchase or arriving at the store. read more

This is the closest Best Buy to me so I always go here when I need something electronic, but I wouldn't even consider going to a different Best Buy in the area, simply because of how helpful they are here. I am Always greeted with a friendly smile, and they aren't pushy like some other places who have sales staff. I have always been assisted as soon as I ask and their customer service is always top notch as well. I had a speaker I got as a gift and didn't get the receipt but they (with the help of Sammy the manager and Manuel the CS rep) were able to get everything straightened out for me and got me an in-store gift card in exchange for the speaker. I would definitely recommend this Best Buy if you find yourself in the need for anything electronic related. They seem to have good inventory as well. Terrible service... ordered online and order was canceled 20 minutes later after money was taken out of my account. I then decided to go in person and the staff there was uneducated and illiterate. Turns out they did have my items in stock, I then asked them to refund me my money to which they said they couldn't because it was processing, which I understood. So in the end I was made to spend double the amount , almost 800$ , and my money wasn't refunded. I was expecting a gift card at least but all I got was rude and horrible customer service . I appreciate the staff for wearing masks! I usually have good experience with Best Buy retail but this is the first install I've had them do. Here is my problem. I went to have a dash cam installed and it was not done properly. The recommended "professional installation" did not wire it correctly and the parking mode does not work. This review is directly pointed at The Geek Squad. You're trying to make money, I get it. However, selling services to people that they don't really need is pathetic. Making your services non-refundable is predatory. My advice to people everywhere is to do their own research, watch a couple of videos. Computers are not as epic as they once we're, and even then, you could use a little deductive reasoning and possibly figure it out. I use CCleaner and a Driver Support program for all computers. My mom would regularly bring her laptop to the Geeks for "service" and she complained that whatever they would do would always mess with her printer to the point where she had to call tech support to fix it. It sounds to me like people creating issues to justify the reason for needing their services. If you bought a new computer you don't need to pay someone to turn it on and select your primary language and set the date/time. I realize you don't want to mess it up, but unless you unplug it while updating your BIOS it's almost - ALMOST - impossible to do just configuring your settings. My only advice is to stay away from anything that alters your registry unless you know what you're doing. I mean really know, not think you know. I have had to reset many a hard drive trying to "clean up" my registry. I said all that to say, shame on you to the Geeks who pray on people's fear of messing up their expensive computer and charge upwards of $200 for simply turning on the computer and setting the preliminary settings and running defrag every now and then to make their place in the world seem relevant. read more

I went to this location to purchase a screen protector for an iPhone. I was unable to find a certain screen protector that we wanted. I needed some assistance so I went to the counter for assistance. 2 employees where there talking and I waited to get acknowledged by the employees. I waited 5 or 10 mins until they where able to get to me. This is unacceptable to have to wait to get acknowledge just to let me know where the protectors where at. read more
