Okay. It's two days after Christmas and you have one register opened and a line of 20 plus people waiting to check-out. To make matters worse, the one register that's open is serving both the online pick-up and the in store customer check-out. Apparently, if you have a an online pick-up you have priority because those individuals were allowed to walk-in and skip all of us who were patiently waiting to check-out. What annoys me more than anything is when you pay an employee, those standing at the front door with a yellow shirt who almost never greats you, to watch a monitor to ensure customers aren't stealing but you can't pay employees to adequately serve customers is a disgrace to the community that supports you and the customers who choose Best Buy over some of the other competitors. After waiting 15 minutes and fifth in line, I placed my product down and walked out of the store. I won't come to this location again. I will drive to the one off of 75 before I drive back to this place.

If it were not for the phone I wanted being $50 through Sprint & free at Best Buy, I would not have stayed, but $50 is $50! When we first arrived it looked as if all the Customer Service Reps were busy, but eventually Jasmine came up to us, stopping to give a couple of flirtatious pokes to a male coworker standing just behind my husband. Jasmine was very nice and personable, especially to my disabled teenage daughter, but was lacking in maturity. Soon after she started helping us, there was a phone call for the area, and instead of the girl sitting next to Jasmine (apparently not doing anything) answering the phone, or Jasmine handing the call off to her, she helped the customer on the phone, without reference to in store customers. We got through our transaction and was getting ready to leave when the girl next to Jasmine did answer the phone and gave the customer incorrect information about Sprint, and Sprint products. I do not know why these immature teenagers get jobs that many adults could do more efficiently, especially when the unemployment rate is so high!

Workers are rude. It was just a really bad experience and ruined the excitement for what I was buying.

He's a ninja with both hardware and software, and let me say he can write great code, too. When professional diagnostic tools can't find a bad infection, Lenny goes into the Windows registry and reads the code line for line, identifies bad code, and disables it, thus killing the worse of bugs. He will make an encrypted mirror copy of your hard drive to save your data if possible, and I've seen him save data from a rapidly dying drive using dry ice to keep it from over heating just in time. That is genius, folks. He's the only tech I know who does that. His wife, Opel, is a pro with the laptops. She may be into tablets and smart phones by now - not sure about that; however, usually she tackles the laptops, and runs the office. If I'm willing to drive over 70 miles for their help, how much more can I express to you, my confidence in Lenny and Opel doing the best work you can get? To me, Lenny is the smartest computer tech I've seen in Texas; no question about it. One final thought regarding a very negative review from 2015 for BKE here. When the customer said she had a computer degree and checked her machine's RAM and hard drive, it made me smile. RAM is solid state cards, and at worse, they might have a poor connection to the socket they go into. A pencil eraser fixes that. However, three things break down the most in computers: hard drives (that spin at 7200 rpm and wear out), power supplies (due to heat), and keyboards and/or the mouse from usage. Sometimes laptops screens will go bad, and Opel is the person to change them. From what she said in the review, I'd bet money the hard drive was dying. Moving parts are usually the first to break down. CPU fans are another one for that. I can just see Lenny and Opel telling her the hard drive needed to be replaced; however, they are pricey, and the lady probably did not believe them. Then when it died, She blamed the technicians. And I know, Lenny has all the diagnostic tools he needs to repair machines. Most of the time you just need the machine you're working on, and the knowledge what wrong - looks like. If you get my drift. Lenny and Opel will provide the best service, for a fair price. BKE is the best shop in North Texas - no doubt about it.

So why haven't you been here yet?…read more Is it because it doesn't look like its part of a franchise? I mean, it IS gaudy and in a derelict-looking strip mall. Or did the sign in the window saying that their "prices are crunk" make you think twice? I certainly hope it wasn't the rough-looking teens in the parking lot. They looked like the type that cuss. Citizens, I'm here today to tell you to fear no more. While the inside looks like some barely-legal warehouse sized pawnshop, its harmless and worth your time. Go ahead and bring your kids! It has a huge selection of DVDs and games, especially of the dork variety (ie., anime and posters). You can buy brand new items as well. The prices are alright; I got a used Xbox 360 plus a newer used game. With tax it was $302. Happy Valentine's Day! So, my new question is: why are you still reading this?

But they are also one of the only places I know where you can buy (or sell) items like CDs, movies, games on this level. The place is huge. You wonder how long a place like this will last with so many people using everything from itunes to hulu to watch and use entertainment, but as long as they are one of the only places that handles these items, maybe they will last a long time. It also makes me feel old to watch CDs go away the way tapes and vinyl did before them and to watch movie rental and sales places disappear. It seems like it is a really good store for games and then also buying or selling guitars and some music related equipment as well.
