Geek Squad was very knowledgeable in the laptop I bought from here four years ago (discontinued), not to mention general facts about their processes and services. Best part is that their consultations are free, including quick fixes they can do in store! Most hardware repairs have to be sent to Best Buy's repair facility, so will take an absolute minimum of four days. They do guarantee official new parts. The store is organized and usually fully stocked and staffed. read more

I was trying to call the Lincoln Ne store because I had left something there. They told me that no one could talk to me. I was connected to a robot and then a remote office. They would not share a store direct phone number and instead took information and said someone would call me. This is extremely un customer friendly. Surely someone in the store can answer a simple question. Now I am forced to spend an hour driving back to the store. Their only focus seems to be to sell things. Very unhelpful. Not a good lasting impression. read more

The staff are very helpful and informative. I used to work here and it's a good place to work in my honest opinion. But even after I quit and came as a customer they treated me right. I have no complaints about this store. It's the only Best Buy in Lincoln but compared to the Omaha stores it's my favorite one. I highly recommend coming here if you're ever in Lincoln and need electronics. read more

They have absolutely the worst customer service in the nation. You talk to a robot and then a person in India who has no clue what you are talking about when all you want is a person at the store. Otherwise, it is a good store with good people and good products. read more

I purchased a freezer online with the website saying it would be available for pickup as soon as the afternoon I ordered it. Very misleading because once I purchased and paid for it, it said it would be there by the upcoming Thursday. I found help to move the freezer and borrowed a truck for the specific purpose of picking it up. It never came in. The phone number for the store is a joke. They send it directly to some overseas call center and won't connect you with someone on the spot at the store you order from. The customer service at the store location helped me setup another authorized pickup person but other than that were also not very useful in telling me when my freezer would get in. Still haven't gotten the freezer but I'm strongly considering canceling my order and buying from somewhere that will fulfill my order in the timeframe they promised at checkout. Long story short consider purchasing somewhere else before you buy online with this business. read more

What happened to Bestbuy, this place used to have great customer service, totally gone down hill. Every visit just gets worse. Went in today to see employees walking around in a trance not helping anyone. I'm literally looking around for someone to assist me, employees are trying not to make eye contact, I finally get someones attention he tells me they are very busy but can get someone over to help and will probably be a 15 minute wait, looking around the store they didn't seem busy, I didn't see any employees with a customer, looks like all the customers were on their own to figure things out. I just walked out, last visit was very similar. Looking at other reviews seems like this is a very common experience. read more

I have had 2 appointments with Geek Squad and this morning I was and still here waiting when he called to have me open the door and I was on the toilet and could not get back to the phone in time. He just left and within a minute I got to my phone and was going to call back but he did not leave a contact number. I am very angry with communication and lack of customer service. Shopping at Best Buy has become the most unpleasant experience. You've completely lost focus on the customer. I have two such examples from the past month. First, I recently attempted to purchase two TVs. Upon bringing them out to my car, the employee told me that the TV warranties would be voided and wouldn't be eligible for return since they didn't fit upright in my vehicle. So, I canceled the online order. Then, I drove over to Target, where I purchased the same TVs. The Target employees happily loaded them into my car and didn't hassle me. Second, I stopped at Best Buy tonight and attempted to purchase two Ring indoor cameras. Every other Ring product was out on shelves, including the camera I wanted, but in white. For some reason, the black version of the camera was locked behind glass. I was told it would be a 20-minute wait just to have someone unlock the case. So, once again, I left and went to Target, where they don't force their customers to stand around for 20 minutes to complete a 5-second task. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. I'm not giving Best Buy a third chance. You've lost a customer for life. read more

As consumers we have the power to close down a business if we all work together as a group. This BestBuy in Lincoln is the absolute worse BestBuy it has ever been my misfortune to visit. Learn to recognize BAD BUSINESSES when you see them. Read the reviews on this store. There are several about the nonexistent customer service/care. The primary reason for this is the practice of understaffing the store. During covid these big box chains got away with poor service and a minimal staff. That said these box stores have adopted the practice of not hiring sufficient employees to properly serve the public. What they are doing is profiting from wasting your invaluable time. They have realized its much easier and efficient to waste your time by making you stand around waiting than it is to pay an additional employees wage and benefits. Your time is the most valuable thing you have in this life. Once that time is spent, it can never be replaced unlike dollars. The employee is being paid for spending his time at his place of employment, you are not being paid to stand around at his place of employment wasting your time. What is the consequence of wasting consumers time and placing a heavier workload on an employee that likely makes minimum wage? That employee will either quit or more likely they will start only doing the bare minimum required of them to keep that job. The result... employees avoid customers, angry customers, angry managers, poor reviews, lost revenue, lost customers, etc... Please learn to recognize this practice when you see it here in Lincoln and call these businesses out on their unethical practices and behavior. Your time is irreplacable at any price, stop letting these box stores and others waste your time because they want to profit from wasting your time instead of hiring more help. read more

1. called during business hours. Extensions were not working 2. Was told they took care of manufacturer problems for the first year. Once I communicated via text with associate, they said I had to talk to the manufacturer directly. 3. They were not eager to solve. The issue just said sorry to inform sorry to inform. 4. Looked online and Best Buy indicates they cover one year warranty in store. associate was incorrect or they don't follow what is stated on line. read more

I recently bought a Macpro laptop and saw after a few days they dropped 200.00 from the price. The Lincoln store would not honor and give me a refund bc I missed the deadline of 14 days by one day. I could have bought the same laptop at Costco and would never have a problem returning it. Also the manager Tre, was extremely rude, I definitely will not be shopping there in the future. read more

Horrible customer service was given misinformation in December about our TV warranty the girl told us it was valid until June of 2021 I called today to make a warranty because of covid the store doesn't take calls anymore...so the guy at the warranty geek squad said basically oh well NOTHING could be done through bestbuy.com or corporate I have to talk to the store...All because the store employee have me wrong info....this is the 3rd issue with this best buy for incorrect info given and rude employees... ....my warranty expired 52 days ago the store won't help...I WILL NEVER SHOP AT BEST BUY EVER AGAIN! I used to love Best Buy. Good help on the sales floor and Geek Squad was helpful and fairly prompt. I purchased a Geek Squad service contract that was nice insurance for help and repairs. NOW HOWEVER, when I needed help and took my iMac in for service, I had to make an appointment that was 11 days out! That is a long time. I went next door to Computer Hardware Inc and received help in 5 minutes. I found out what was wrong and decided I needed a new computer. They applied the diagnostic fee toward the computer, gave me good advice and I picked up my new iMac with a solid state hard drive installed the next day. For computer needs I recommend Computer Hardware Inc. read more

Once again, 7-15-22. Went to this bestbuy to purchase a wacom drawing tablet. Went directly back to the computer section and waited for an employee because there were none anyplace to be seen in the computer department. FInally after 15 minutes i walked back to the front door greeter and asked if she could call someone to help me. She called an employee and told him i needed help in the laptop department. He told her he would be there as soon as he put a couple of computers away. I returned to the computer section and waited and waited and waited. Then a woman customer approached to look at items on the shelf beside me. I waited and waited and finally the kid comes waltzing along, asks the woman if he can help her, helps her for 5 minutes, she grabs the item she wanted and the kid walks away leaving me standing there once again with my service dog. I am disabled and i can only assume at this point that its discrimination because this same scenario plays out everytime im in this store. I was in an accident in 2013 which disabled me so my head is covered with scars and unsightly to some i suppose. At this point i will be contacting the DOJ to do an investigation on this particular store because i simply do not see others being treated the way they treat me when i try to shop here. For those not aware, the Department of Justice handles enforcement of the Americans with disabilities Act which prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilities. If anyone else has experienced this type of treatment at this Bestbuy store please email me at duckfoot@protonmail.com. read more

If the service is the same in the store, and I am pretty sure it is as we were there earlier today and could not find someone to help us then either. They will only be open 25 more minutes, bet they won't pick up the phone again. Going to stay on the line just to see. Hope you have time if you order on line with a at store pickup. Management missed it on the delivery of packages. We have waited for over an hour and still no items. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. Purchased an Apple iPad that came damaged and was told there was nothing they could do about it. It was within the return/exchange time period and had all of the original packaging (the charger cord hadn't even been unwrapped yet) and they still didn't do anything. I wasn't asking for my money back, but rather a replacement. If you're going to buy an expensive tech product, this is not the place to do it...they don't stand behind their products and they aren't respectful to their customers. May I also mention the person at customer service had me take my screen protector off of my damaged iPad as well as wiping all of my info off of this BEFORE they told me they wouldn't exchange it... I can truthfully say I will never be buying a product from Best Buy again. read more

I went into Best Buy a month ago because I needed to replace a projector in my theater room. I was told their Geek Squad would come out to evaluate the room in order to make a recommendation on the best projector for the room. The consultant showed up at the scheduled time and said he would get back to me with the plan within 2 days. After a lot of back and forth I still do not have a finalized plan. I went into Best Buy the other night to talk with a manager and he said he would talk with GM the next morning. He promised me someone would follow up with me the next day. I did not receive a call as promised by the manager. Examples are set by the top down and it is obvious when the Best Buy management does not follow-up with customers they have set a poor example for the Best Buy employees. I will never recommend Best Buy or the Geek Squad to anyone again. read more

I've been a fan of Best Buy for many years. However, the Best Buy in Lincoln has really gone downhill. The new store is nice looking, but the employees don't seem to be well trained and generally don't seem to care about providing help. Now, there are certainly exceptions. In fact, I went in the other day and after struggling to find help for quite some time, the person that checked me out was exceptionally helpful and relational. That was a pleasant surprise. I'm to the point where I actually try not to shop at Best Buy anymore. Target's electronics department is nearly as good and the help is way better. read more

I spent over 1400.00 on a G Series Asus here at this Best Buy. I notably had issues with it two days after I purchased it. The screen would go black and took quite a long time to boot. I took the computer back and they stated it was a problem with updates, so I took their word for it and took it home. I continued to have problems with speed. Fast forward 20 days later and the computer was stuck on the Aptio set up utility. I contacted Asus and they stated this indicated that the system was not communmicating with the hard drive. This happened on Thanksgiving day. I waited until Best Buy opened after 1700 and took the computer back. The Geek Squad was closed down as was their ability to take returns was also shut down. They were only set up for sales, which is quite disgusting. I was told, nonchalantly that no one was there to help me. This is highly unprofessional and is not the right way to conduct customer service and will not be doing business here ever again. I hope these folks give me a much deserved refund since it's been over the 20 day return policy that Best Buy has. read more

Best Buy - My 1400.00 broken computer - Electronics Near Me - Lincoln, Nebraska

Horrible service and the staff did not know what they were talking about for being so called "tech experts". I came in before I moved into my first apartment to get a cable modem and router. The guy found me the most expensive thing he could that was a combination unit to me it was good, though I had never heard of the brand. And so I trusted their expertise. I went over to Office Depot where I had a friend working and he said it was kind of the worst things I could have bought, and it wouldn't even be what I needed. Plus the router I saw there was $50 cheaper than the same one at best buy. Returned it. Which that was a horrible experience, got the third degree of why I was returning it. Yeah. Bad service, over priced, and not knowledgeable staff. No thanks!!! Usually I like best buy but because of this I won't ever be going back. read more

Apparently this Best Buy replaced the location near 48th and O St. A slightly odd store setup, a bit different from your normal Best Buy...not from the Lincoln area, so it's possible they moved into a vacant building...it just seems a bit big. This location has everything your typical Best Buy does...you shouldn't walk away disappointed...well, unless you...didn't plan on walking into a Best Buy. read more

Not only was she practically out-of-the-box clean, they also fully updated my iOS, security software, and my Java. Get the full coverage option with the Webroot. Have been very happy with Best Buy providing a satisfying experience while making some major purchases for my projects. Their attention to detail, excellent customer service and quality products is why Best Buy is my first choice always. I bought a 64" LG OLED TV and the Geek Squad built me a awesome computer with (2) 24" monitors, speakers, camera and microphone providing all equipment to start up my YouTube channel. After purchasing my equipment, I invested in the Best Buy membership (very worth it) where I have tech support available at all times. They came out to my house to set up my computer and hang my television on the wall. The Tech Support is very knowledgeable and I have complete confidence in their advice and expertise. The major observation I witnessed is that the Store Manager; Katie Galyen, is a good manager. What I appreciate is that Katie is usually standing at the entrance greeting customers, qualifying needs, and radioing the appropriate team member to service the customer. Katie is well organized and takes care of the customer as well as her staff. read more

I love Best Buy. Who doesn't love to walk around and look at the new shiny tech items. Their prices are a little high but now that they price match amazon and other stores, I prefer to shop at Best Buy. I usually get good service but then again, I don't shop there on December 24th at 5pm either. There is nothing better then playing with the latest Samsung tablet or looking at the new laptops, new HDTVs and checking out the latest movies. The rewardzone also is a nice bonus, $5 back after every $250 spent. Not great, but its a nice bonus if your going to buy something anyway. I like this store better then the 48th and R St. Location because they cut out the music section and it doesn't take 20 min to walk from one side to the other, especially if you are trying to find your wife or kids in the store! read more

I no longer bother with trying to shop at this store or worse yet try contact them on the phone. This is not the same Best Buy that moved into Lincoln years ago. For your Apple computer needs in Lincoln, simply go to the very tiny store behind Best Buy called Computer Hardware. They sell and repair Apple computers there and actually act like they appreciate your business. With regard to appliances, stay local and visit Schaeffer's. They have been a longtime Lincoln presence and have a repair department to back up what they sell. Otherwise, consider Costco which on some items add another layer of product protection. The downside is that they have no repair facility. read more

My first experience was with the geek squad my phone screen head went completely black but I was still getting notifications so I figured it was just my screen that was wrong well the man Did the diagnostics on it and because he wasn't able to turn off a certain thing that needs to be turned off to run a diagnostics diagnostics correctly he said that my whole phone was bad and so I made an appointment to go up to Apple in Omaha get up there they hard reset my phone then do the diagnostics test comes out it's just the screen so luckily I had insurance because it ended up only being $25 instead of $100 but come on you should know better that was a waste of time that you could've just fix my screen right then and there.
