I went into Vest Buy yesterday to buy a new tablet. I wanted to look at the features on the different ones. The non Apple ones are hidden but I found them. After choosing one I found the ones actually not on display locked in a cabinet. There are no employees in the computer section so I went to "Pick-up". He said he would send someone back to help me. I waited for about 10-15 minutes & said screw it, I will go to WalMart. Best Buy used to be a good place to go, but now all the employees are gathered at the front door. I will never step foot in there again. read more

Purchased appliances and had them installed and the ice maker has never worked Called Geek squad - worst encounter Rep was not helpful or understanding and would not connect me to supervisor- put me back in regular line and essentially had to start over - twice more All I was asking for was some consideration with my schedule- and a prompt service as the installation may not have been right Just pat answers with no accommodation - would only give a 12 hr window ten days after installation - explained that I could not make it until later afternoon and was looking for a late afternoon service Essentially said that if I were not available I would have to get put back on the schedule at the first opening Not how they should be treating a "total" rewards member Would recommend considering other places that are customer sensitive read more

I would like to give a SHOUT-OUT to a young lady by the name of Quiana R. She helped our company Quinco Mental Health Center purchase a massage chair. This young lady was soooo helpful, I would like to say "THANK YOU" for being so kind. The hospitality was off the chain.......I have NO complaints. Again, thank you Ms. Quiana for representing Best Buy and being the reason we received "THE BEST BUY". read more

God awful service. Slow service when available. Needs more employees, staffing is a skeleton crew and not able to help or check out adequately. Defective product broke first day of use. Wont refund. Won't exchange. Worst BestBuy in existence. read more

On 10/30/2020 I ordered a 70 inch tv from this Best Buy location in Jackson Tn. I went to this location for a in store pick up, as I arrived I was greeted by a aggressive Lost prevention member asking why I am parked in front of the store...well I was parked in the online pick up area with my flashers on . After telling them this, they grabbed a store manager who then told me to wait outside due to no mask and they will grab my T.V. Once they brought my tv outside they asked if I was strapping down the tv in my truck, I told them NO I would lay it down and tie it down . They said it's against policy and I would break my tv that way....Um NO it won't break and I told them I will handle it let's just load my tv they then refused and as I loaded my tv in my truck they were telling me it's going to break and saying I should buy geek squad protection. Lol this was the most ridiculous practice to try to add geek squad protection. Long story short my TV was just fine ! This location is horrid and I'll never give them another cent . read more

This review is not for Best Buy the retail store but I could not find the Geek Squad alone. I purchased a laptop. The screen went bad and I have to send it to the manufacturer. No problem. It was suggested that I take it to Best Buy to have it backed up so I don't loose my stuff. Brilliant! The closest one is an hour away. I called to make sure I could come. After much runaround I left a message in hopes of a call back. I needed to come to Jackson for another reason so I brought the laptop along. I figured I could leave it. Wrong! I was told I'd have to come back in 2 days for the next appointment at a time while I was at work. Did I mention I have an hour drive. He then told me it would be $100 and they may not even be able to fix it. He never looked at me, not even a glance. I decided it would cost me $50 in gas to drive back and forth to be treated like crap. I will never shop here again. And Best Buy should consider leaving out the message that the Geek Squad is here to help. read more

Lack of inventory. Staff actively violates ADA laws and will not serve or help customers with accessibility or disability issues.

I purchased cell phones from Best Buy during a Christmas promotion. It was the worst nightmare that I have ever experienced. If you have ever purchased a phone from the Jackson, TN location you know exactly what I mean. Bradley, the clown that sets up all their phones is an absolute idiot. Instead of waiting on one customer and resolving all issues, he dances and prances around singing songs moving from one person to the next never resolving a problem. When I left this store, instead of having new service on my new phones, I had no service at all. There is not enough space here to detail all my issues. I can tell you that I have been to AT&T several times since trying to undo what this Moron did to my service. I would not get phones from Best Buy again, even if they were giving them away. Let the buyer, if I could give minus Stars in my review, it would be a minus 50. read more

We bought a 65 inch tv and a 5 year warranty! Then we took it to the truck with these real nice young men that worked there. They were helping us load when a manager came out and told them to get off that man's truck if he wanted someone to help him load he should have brought someone!! With that said; they were told to get that TV off and we went and got our money back and went to Sam's!! read more

My impression is not great. Walked in and nobody greeted me. I passed at least four employees. Went to the bathroom and proceeded to where the iPads/ computers etc were... I'm interested in getting an iPad or something equivalent... I think they are on commission.... Just saying... I look young... Maybe it's stereotyping... Who knows...Or just bad service.... Walked out. I'm from Virginia and used to better service in best buys... I like best buy, but this one needs some classes on customer service! read more

Paid cash for a Mac mini took it home and tried it. It was awful brought it back for a return and was told I could not receive my cash back. The young millennial manager was rude and thought he could treat a cash paying customer like a punk. After 20 mins of arguing an older manager returned my money without a problem. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

I spent a ridiculous amount of time telling 4 associates that I would like to speak to a manager. Instead of getting me a manager the smart mouthed "teenager" that was working transferred me to an app number that is totally automated. I called 3 more times and they left me hold for 15 minutes, still no manager. I have done thousands of dollars worth of business at this store in the past. Anybody wanna guess who just lost a customer?? I will spread the word of the poor customer service. My Best Buy card is in the shredder as we speak, NEVER will I spend another dollar in that store. read more

They say they are open until 9:00pm but then when you call to ask a question the phone rings for 2 minute then hangs up on you. I went through this process for 30 minutes. I started at a little after 8:00. No wonder people are buying online!!!! read more

I ordered a 70 inch Visio E70-E3 open box excellent. Ordered it online. I get to the store and they bring out a beat up demo model with no box and the Accessories are in a brown paper bag. I told them There was no way I was going to take that. It was 100° out and I had my truck. It would've melted by the time I got home. So it gets better. 2 days earlier I had been in and looked at the older 65 inch Vizio E1 model. They had price matched it to 599 with Walmart a day and a half before. After the disaster with the 70 in, I asked about the 65 inch. The manager reluctantly checked and grumbled he couldn't find it. After us both looking in the inventory we did find it. But he could not price match it because the Walmart sale had ended. They now want $180 more for it than two days ago. WHICH IS ABOUT HOW MUCH THE NEWER MODEL IS! BOTTOM LINE IS I HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT MY TVS FROM BEST BUY. AND I HAVE NEWS FOR THE JACKSON TENNESSEE BEST BUY STORE. THEY HAVE PERMANENTLY LOST A CUSTOMER. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Do not shop there . Their staff is rude and the Manager shouldn't even be working there with his attitude. Stay away. UPDATE: Two hours Later I just purchased the Vizio E70-E3 NEW from SAMS at $100 less than the no box - what they called open box display model. BEST BUY is a RIP OFF. Won't even price match with SAMS. They are .25 miles apart. Someone was looking out for me for sure........Thanks. AND..again......Their staff is rude and the Manager shouldn't even be working there with his attitude. Stay away. read more

I've been to this store many times. Inside is great, staff are very friendly and almost instantly ask what they can help you with. On the other hand their mobile installation department is total garbage. Those wanna be electricians are about as rude as it gets. They will say anything to scare you out of extra money. I made the mistake of having a radio installed in my vehicle and the guy putting it in was absolute trash. His breath smelt like he had been puffing hobo shafts for the past 24 hours. It was a short white guy with dark hair. I mostly just remember the semen stains on his chin. But like i said the inside of the store is awesome. The door greeter seems kinda like he liked sucking hobo shaft pops too now that i think about it. read more

I made appt and went in for Chromebook. Before we even made it to the back to computers, the "service" rep , JImmy B., was asking why I wanted chromebook over windows. I explained i had a chromebook and needed replacing. I kiddingly made a joke and he rudely asked me "could he finish his statement"?! I stopped dead in my tracks. He was very rude!! He said I wasn't letting him finish speaking!! As we proceeded to that department, I was looking & reading info about certain ones. I happen to touch keyboard of one, just testing it out. He pointed out that everything I touched, he would have to clean. I had enough and was leaving. He then said oh, wait ma'am, I have to escourt you out! Sure go ahead. I then mentioned something else I wanted to check, lightbulbs..smart lightbuls. After he acted like this was a major convenience, he then questioned why I wanted that kind and proceeded to explain another brand to me!! I thought this whole experience was very unprofessional and rude. Well, Jimmy B. lost that sale. I walked out the door and along with my $700 still in my pocket. read more

What a bunch of morons! I purchased a 4k Visio last year and bought the 2 year protection plant and the picture is going out. I went there yesterday and Emma told me to bring it in and they would swap it out for another one. She said if the new one was more I'd have to pay the difference. Np. I told her I seen the online directions stating that someone would have to come out to my house and look at it being it a 58" tv. She reassured me not to do that just bring it in and she'd take care of it. We'll I brought it in today and the manager said that they don't do it that way. I would have to call geek squad for them to come out and look at the tv. I live over an hour away for Best Buy and that I was told it would be no problem exchanging it and to bring it in. Well needless to say I was turned away. They wouldn't even let me schedule an appointment in the store for geek squad. I was told to call the number. The manager said he'd talk to Emma but that'd not help me one bit. read more

I moved to Jackson a year ago, I have used Best buy for many years and have always felt I was treated fairly. On this year "Black Friday" Sale I decided to finally get a smart phone. I wanted a Samsung and Best Buy had them on special. I purchased one, and the phone worked great, however the charging cable had a problem. When I wiggled the wire it would loose connection. I tried another cable and it worked fine. I took the cable back to Best Buy the manager was called and when she strutted up her first words were, " That ain't our cable" I politely told her the cable was part of the charging kit for the Samsung phone I purchased. she then said that's a manufacturing issue, we don't handle that. I told her I had purchase 5 days ago and would Best Buy replace the cable with an equal one. She said No! you will have to take that up with the mfg. and walked away. This is probably a $4 cable and I am sure Best Buy could get a replacement from Samsung. I told her I thought this was poor customer service, and would remember this attitude on my next purchase, not at Best Buy read more

The culture of this store is horrible. Don't show up even within an hour before closing. The lights start going off at 8:30 and you can feel youself getting pushed out the door. I had to return a comuter, there was one person working returns, and a line of 3 people, and no one else in the store, literally 15 other people standing around, hands in pocket, but watching the others in line waiting 20 min to return a laptop. I ended up with 10 min to pick out a replacement, and at 8:55, the on I was looking at "HE LID WAS CLOSED AND POWERED DOWN RIGHT IN FRONTOF ME", like I was invisible. Then the lights went out. I was so desperate for a laptop, I bought it anyway, BUT I SURE WISH I DID NOT. I WAS A LONG TIME CUSTOMER TOO.WOW read more
