    Amazing service!! Alex and Oscar took care of us on our return of a 50" Samsung TV that I won in a work charity event that was broke during shipping. Not my fault but he worked his magic and I walked out as a happy customer! Thank you Alex and Best Buy!!

    This is probably the first time in 7 years that I've entered a Best buy, definitely some nostalgia feeling. Unfortunately I can see why they struggle. Came to this location for a car remote product information and mobile install. The first person that tried to help me couldn't even find the product, said go to another area. Went to the other area and I was informed they don't have all the remote starter products here and that I would need to go to Schaumburg to get it and to get the mobile install since they close the mobile installation at this store. Ask some questions about the product, the staff member didn't really seem interested in helping. Asked about the installation process and he said I would have to go to Schaumburg to find out. Pricing here is definitely more expensive than Amazon or Walmart. I don't even know how they keep their doors open.

    I've never had any issues at this store, needless to say, I've rarely had to deal with any staff here. I repair my own computers and Best Buy always carry the parts - HDDs, SSDs, SATA cables, etc. Once, back in the day, whilst studying, my desktop PC just died. I needed a PSU and a SSD for repairs and Best Buy carried both these items. My beloved 5-year old PC was up and running in an hour. They also sell mid-tower cases (not sure about full tower). I really love their curb pickup. Just order whatever line and pick it up at the curb. The best part is their return policy. Just have the receipt and they accept returns without any hassle. I did have one encounter with a "sales kid" working there. He looked 14 years old and had no idea what an "APC Back-UPS Battery Backup" is despite Best Buy carrying several of these units. I did buy the APC Back-UPS Battery Backup and it works great to this day.

My mother died early this month , March 2011. We found that she had placed a sizable order with this company , since we began to receive DVD's in her mail The Video Collection company was mailing her order in bits, and charging HUGE separate shipping charges for each DVD instead of shipping them all together. We saw charges to her account from this business before the rest of the order had arrived. I called the company on March 11th to ask about returning the DVDS, and how much more of the order there was. The rep. would not furnish me the info because I didn't have the order #, (which was not included in any of the packaging). The rep did however assure me that half the order was cancelled and she wouldn't be charged any more. But that wasn't true!! 2 more DVD's came, along with more charges to her account. I called again. Pretty much told the same conversation (with a different rep. ) with the second call. I went on to the website and saw that the 4 DVD's totaled about $53.00, yet my mothers account had been charged over $88.00! So I emailed the customer service dept. from their website and I have received NO RESPONSE. Then another DVD shows up, and this time it showed an order number. So I called yesterday (March 28th, 2011) and a VERY RUDE boy named BEN tells me the other reps didn't have the authority to cancel the order and that the DVD's would still come, and that I only had 30 days from the time of the original order (March 2nd) to return the DVDs--SO BY APRIL 2nd!! THIS 30 DAY RETURN POLICY HAD NEVER BEEN MENTIONED BY THE OTHER REPS! I explained I live hours away from my mothers home, and we still hadn't received the entire order! Not only that , he could not send me a copy of the original order because "my mother would have to authorize that" I told him again--"But she's dead!" and he just said "Well sorry she would have to authorize it and obviously she cant so you'll just have to send them back" (within 2 days mind you!) to attempt getting her account credited. I have to pay express shipping myself, and just HOPE it gets there on time. BAD BAD BUSINESS!! And with these circumstances! The boy (BEN) said they never had to deal with this type of situation, and his supervisor (that he consulted at one point) apparently had no help to offer our family.

    This shop is amazing ! Jason the owner does it all himself so sometimes he has to close the shop…read morefor a small amount of time to take of of things like eating and small shop maintenance. But Jason is a pretty friendly guy, will order what you need, that 25% off every day for trades is amazing when I don't see other shops doing that at all ! Selection is newer books (so if you are looking for back issues from 20 years ago or older those he doesn't have) and the value is really a great bang for your Bucks !!! Highly recommended !!

I like the store policy to combat scalpers, only allowing one copy to be sold per cover. When I got there, the OPEN sign was lit and the lights were on, but a small sign said "back in 5 minutes" and another sign had been flipped to closed. Tried the handle and the shop was locked. No big deal - I had 5 minutes to spare. I went back to my car. Waited 5 minutes, 10 minutes -- no change in the signage. I watched another potential shopper try the door, still locked, and they waited 5 minutes (now 15 for me). No change - they left. 3:05pm and still no one there during store hours. I saw another potential shopper try again 5 minutes later and still nobody. After 25 minutes of waiting, I gave up and went on my way. To say I'm disappointed in the service level would be an understatement. I'm giving 2 stars because I feel like it could be a good shop, but my experience doesn't reflect that at all. I hope it's a one off failure to keep track of time or maybe an emergency that came up. I'll try again another day, but I definitely won't wait the 5 minutes the sign asks for again - it can't be trusted.
