Great customer service at this Best Buy. New stereo for my truck and installed great by (Will) but had issues with the recommended wiring harness from the factory. They fixed a few times from the factory suggestion but still had issues. Sean (the manager on duty) and Will (the service tech) went above and beyond to make it right and keep a customer satisfied and returning for years. I don't understand the negative reviews? I'm not saying people didn't have problems or that they lied, just that it doesn't match my experience at All. The only disappointments I've had are when an item isn't in stock, in store. Sales associates have always been Very courteous, usually at least as knowledgeable as I, eager to help ( a lot of hovering ) and outright helpful -- because they try hard And succeed. And some of them are even what I would call "memorably nice." Like, you don't forget them. In Other stores I remember sales associates for Other reasons, lol. No hassle returns which I have not used a lot, but really nice to have that option if you get a bad item. I know we take that for granted today, yes. But they are as helpful and friendly returning as they are selling. I don't know bout you -- to me that's awesome. Used this store for more than a decade, so that's a lot of experience and chances for things to go sideways, but they never did. read more

Y'all. This sucks. I've called twice talked to a guy who didn't understand what I was asking. All I'm trying to do is connect two monitors on one desktop so I can use both screens. Apparently that is just impossible. So I hung up. Called back talked to a lady that said I needed an appointment when I'm talking to geek squad. Went in to see what the problem was confronted with some "blue shirt" telling me I had to wear a mask.I resisted the temptation to tell him to blow it out his ear. I have had an iPhone 8 battery replacement scheduled at this Best Buy for a week now. It was originally scheduled for Monday, and then the IPhone tech they had went out sick and I had to be rescheduled, though having to reschedule my appointment wasn't the issue that caused this review. I rescheduled for the same service on Thursday of the same week, just to go in and for them to tell me they'll have to ship my phone off to Apple for the replacement because they have no batteries left in the store and it'll take up to a week to get it back. Someone should have at least given me a call, especially since my appointment details literally said "iPhone 8 battery replacement". Such a waste of my time and I was definitely not impressed. read more

Ok, they are the only Apple Supplier in Abilene, that I know of. They have a large selection and I used to like to stroll the store and see if there was something else I needed. That ended today. They have reformatted the store to put kiosk's all over, you have to walk around to get to sections like DVDs and other departments. While I was there the TV surround sound was running at full volume. Demos, the computer guy said. It's awful loud, and he admitted 'you have no idea!' It hurt my ears and I was on the other side of the store. It happened repeatedly, like it was on a loop. Really? Maybe buying online is the way to go. read more

It's not what it used to be. Used to come here and Media Play because they were the 2 best stores for CD purchases. Now they have hardly any CDs because everything has gone digital. It is a shame that CDs are going away I like to physically hold a new album in my hard. Another thing that has changed is that you have to hunt someone down if you have a question no one is ever around and it seems that way in all of retail today. I've shopped with best buy since the beginning. I'm a member. my son uses video games as therapy. we bought our quest 3 , Xbox series X , high end electronics, you name it. my son specifically asks to go to best buy. I wanted to reward him for all the growth he's had interpersonally and with learning to read. we agreed that we would add a PS5 and new tv with Bose soundbar if he would read what the games say, like in final fantasy for example. I went into the store and everything was filthy thick dust and hair, boogers, I tried to check out the high end gaming pc setup desk/ tower demo and I went to examine the floor display premium Bose theater sound system and 75 inch Oled tv or micro led tvs. my hands were black with filth and I had to go scrub down in their bathroom, before I went to scrub so I don't contaminate my son and cause him physical pain I showed the sales rep my hands, showed him what was clearly filthy and he ignored me and told someone over his headset that some guy interrupted him. I recently moved to Abilene and needed several big ticket items. Having been a Best Buy customer in the past I went in to look at washer & dryers, refrigerators, and home electronic/security devices such as Arlo, Ring, etc. I was in the store for about 30 minutes looking at all of these products, taking pictures of items & price tags. Aside from the Greeter when I entered and exited the store, NOT ONE PERSON EVEN SPOKE TO ME. There were plenty of sales associates in the store but they were too busy talking and carrying on with each other to assist customers. Best Buy Abilene when your store closes due to lack of sales don't cry about it. To the sales associates doing nothing while I was there...shame on you for taking a paycheck instead of "Earning" it!! read more

First, the store is just like all the others. Well stocked, busy, and good selection. I have always preferred brick and mortar over buying online, But to stay competitive there has to be a reason to come into the store. There is nothing "BEST" about their prices. Same price as everyone else. Same sale as everyone else. The only reason I came here is they had what I wanted and every place else was sold out. Everyone else sold out and BB still has plenty. I have seen better Best Buy locations than this. The constant moving around of the same items will not improve the ratings and costumers' satisfaction. The movies/music selection is limited by space and availability. Same could be said about games. Their forte is the electronics section, however, unless you already know what you want, you may take a long time to get someone to help and even longer to actually make up your mind with their help. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly, however, i would just recommend to get a gift card and/or do your shopping online. And then, come pick your item up on location. read more

Do NOT listen to them! They repeatedly told me that I could upgrade the RAM the MacBook Pro at a later date. But, after having a small issue with an update, I find out that I'm not able to upgrade the RAM from 8g to 16g! I was advised by Best Buy customer service to take the computer to the store and try to trade it out for a model that I originally wanted (I would have to pay the difference to upgrade obviously). I had two goals when walking into the store. To purchase a computer that the Best Buy online-chat girl told me this store had, and to find a nanny cam that could be remotely accessed by more than one person. The first "Blue Shirt" told me that they did not carry the computer I was looking for, but to upgrade any operating system to a professional would cost me money because I would have to swipe everything clean and have it installed. [I was guaranteed by the chat girl that this store DID have what I was looking for]. Second Blue Shirt was asked about the nanny cam. While he was trying to figure out the answer to my question, he pulled a product off the shelves and was using it to explain how the product worked, but it was NOT the product we were discussing. Asking him more than one question caused him to have some kind of mental lock-down, so I left the store with no computer and no nanny-cam. When I go into the store, I usually have my own homework done, and I know more than the customer service employees do! When my son goes with me, he is ALWAYS more knowledgeable, and has corrected employees who are telling me something wrong. Hell, he should be the manager of this store. Anyway, I have purchased many products from this particular store and I have no problem with the merchandise they carry. If you need help, trust me on this, you are alone in a vast Best Buy wilderness, because no one has a damned compass, and no one knows how to get you out of there. read more

All aspects of customer service at this location is quite poor despite what other reviews say. It's just hard to have the people there understand what I'm looking for, including the Geek Squad. There's also no point whatsoever in calling them. Don't even bother. The automated voice machine is boring and useless for trying to simply speak to an employee and not to mention that once you finally get put on hold for them to answer, you're in a queue for an eternity. I waited for 20min or more, and I still didn't get answer. If you want something done or answered, find another location or a different company. Good store overall. You can find just about anything you need electronic wise. There is someone to greet you as you enter, and most show willingness to help. My only issue is if you are buying a phone, don't bother with any geek squad plan. You pay a monthly fee and then a 200 deductible if you need to get, say, a screen fixed. Worthless. Any replacement phone you get likely won't be the same one. So if you just got the latest model, you are out of luck. And they can't guarantee that it won't be a lemon as well. read more

I currently have 7 TV and 8 working function -ing computers not to mention the number of computers that are no longer with us... historically I have each computer 'cleaned up with anti-virus and any programs installed' prior to walking out the door to insure everything in correct... process normally takes 2 hours--- I've done it many times-- bought a $700 dell and asked for same procedure --should be noted bought computer for adjusting work in Florida-- total devastation out there-- I just needed a little help for me to help others!! BB comes back with going to be 2 days!! Never have the theatre department install surround sound in your property. This is what will happen. They will forget the paper templates in the speakers above the metal casing, they won't wire all the speakers. they will leave their tools in your attic. you will think the paper crackling is actually bad speakers and call them back after you have discovered what the real problem is. They won't know unless you tell them and then you will give them their tools you got from the attic and they will now wire the speakers they forgot to wire the first time. if you are doing a couple of properties be prepared for the unspeakable. they will not know their inventory so do not let them choose the speakers or amp for you. the theatre manager in my case chose a disco club rack amp that will power out a club. it took a miracle for the manager of the store to get that sent back. you will need to determine how much wattage your home needs and make sure they wire all the speakers into their separator box. if the wattage is too strong which was the case for my second property it will blow the circuit channel in their separator box and they will have to come back again to rewire. if they discover that the separator box is now shorted they will not replace it they will wire speakers into your amp compromising your own personal system. you will not be able to play all the speakers you purchased for your home because they were careless, negligent and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. they will have to come back, but now the gm over the geek squad will start finding issues with you the customer and dissuade responsibilities away from the geek techs who didn't know what they were doing to begin with. You will call and ask for the name of the legal department. they won't know what you are talking about. you will ask again and wait until you get the phone number from corporate customer service. then you will leave a message for their legal department to return your call. you will put a dispute on your Best Buy credit card because they will want to charge you to come back and diagnosis their incompetence and carelessness. this is a stupid bunch of people except for two very exceptional talents no three Dan the store manager Seth and Stephen. These people are highly cognitive they can process intellectually they can solve problems but are limited to the limited scope and sequence of Best Buy's stupid policies. You will have problems trust me and do not take a new car to Best Buy to have anything installed there. Go to professionals at Arrow Ford. read more
