I have been buying my glasses here for over 10 years. I've always had great service from this location. You need to buy the insurance if you want an extended warranty, Brian. Never have had a problem with repairs or replacements. Employees here are the best, and so are the prices. read more
The women at the Walmart Vision center on Southwest Drive in Abilene, Texas are just the best. They are friendly, knowledgeable and extremely customer service oriented. My husband and I have been in there several times and they are very consistent with their service. They are truly an asset to this Walmart. read more
I have bought my prescription glasses and sunglasses from the Southside Walmart in Abilene and had a great experience. The associates were very friendly and helpful. I was unfamiliar with frame & lens specs and they took the time to explain details to me. After receiving my 2 pairs of glasses for less than $150. They offered to ship it for free to my home since I live out of town. They called me once the glasses arrived at their store just to confirm that I still wanted them shipped in case I was in town. They arrived the next day. I'm very satisfied with the customer service which I received and will definitely go back! For anyone receiving bad experiences, there's 2 sides to every story and sorry for your misfortune! read more
I bought new frames because the other pair I had broke and I couldn't afford to get all new glasses (it was an old prescription and was no longer under warranty) Within 3 months the new frames broke in the same place the previous frames broke. I went back to Walmart because I should have had a 1 year warranty on the frames. The girl who waited on me (the same one who sold me the replacement frames in the first place) asked me what my name was, I gave it to her and she said she couldn't find my name in the system (because she never entered my information into their system). She then told me VERY RUDELY and with an extremely smug attitude, that without a receipt I would have to buy new frames and because I only bought new frames last time it would not have been under warranty anyway. They did not have another pair of the same frames so I left. I had to go out of town for work that following week so while I was there I went to another Walmart and they had the exact same frames. I bought a third pair of the same frames for $136.00 and told the lady in that vision center of my experience. She said that the 2nd pair should have been under warranty and the only reason I had to pay was because the other girl was too lazy to enter my information in the first place. I will not ever buy glasses at the southside Abilene Walmart because of the way I was treated by her and I will tell everyone I know about the horrible service experience. I am a regional Manager with a sales company and if one of my employees ever acted that way towards one of our customers they would find themselves looking for a new job. read more
