Orders some printing online and paid with PayPal. I got a confirmation number and an email that my money would leave my account once Office Depot initiated the transaction. I went to pick my posters up, and they didn't print them because "your credit card was declined". I didn't even use a card! And why didn't anyone bother to call and tell me that my time sensitive printing wasn't being printed?!? I showed the confirmation number and such, but nope. When I asked them to print on the spot, and I would pay for it in cash, they couldn't even access my files. When I checked with PayPal, Office Depot had never even tried to initiate the transaction. Ok, there are good reasons for 5 stars. First, large format store with full selection. But more importantly, it is Location! I come in from behind the store on the North and leave that way too. Buffalo Gap can be very difficult to get across to enter or exit. Unlike the new store in town, you can be trapped in the parking lot for a long time trying to get out. Office Depot has great selection, well stocked and staff on hand asking can they help you find items. Cleanliness 5/5, service 5/5. My only issue is the mandatory serpentine exit isle to run you by candies and odds and ends. I am a rewards member and get discount cards in the mail. read more

I absolutely love the discounts they offer for back to school. Stocking up on pencils, binders, dividers and such is a lot more satisfying here than it is at walmart (chaotic on any given day and panic-attack leading during back to school days) or target. I have always found what i came looking for. And, always having promos and discounted items is always positive. I am not assigning a full 5 star rating because, like previous reviewers mentioned, i do not like the serpentine (filled with candies and useless knick knacks) one is forced to go through to be able to checkout. Trying, to keep kids out of those bins can prove challenging. read more

This review is for the Abilene, TX store on Buffalo Gap Rd. Would give 0 if possible. I have spent $1,000's over the past years at this business. No more. Went in 5/16/2022 and looked at computers. As normal, they did not have a business use computer with Win10 Pro or WIN 11 Pro. At that time I ordered a new computer and told the sales associate that I needed a PDF editor for the new computer. He was very aware that the new computer has Windows 11 NOT Win 10. He picked out TurboPDF v3. I received the computer by UPS late on 5/18/22. I got the computer up and running without issue on 5/19/2022. I did the updates and installed other software in addition to the TurboPDF v3. I then called to activate the TurboPDF v3 and was told by IMSI Design, sales support that the v3 is not supported by WIN 11 Pro and I should return to Office Depot. I tried to return and Office Depot said that they would not accept the return since it was opened. I understand their argument but it was their sales associate that recommended the wrong software at the time I purchased a new computer and the software has not been activated. Guess they do not need my business. Their loss. I will no longer purchase toner, printers, computers or any other items from them or their sister store OfficeMAX. Beware of their sales support or lack thereof. read more

Office Depot, saved me today, let me tell you how. Last in the afternoon I was able to pick up five houses to rent duplex's and single family homes. The computer I use is a three year old laptop, the battery died over a year ago. For the past several months my cord receptacle has been coming loose and dumping everything.. Today was hideous had to rush over Office Depot who was able to run a scan on my computer for free, and sold me a new cord to fix the problem. I'm back in the Game now! read more

I'd be cautious buying a warranty from them, you have to go through a few 1800 numbers before it takes forever for them to send you a gift card for what you paid for it. When I was sold the warranty they made it seem like it was easy to replace headphones in the store, and of course a few months later after they break it's insanity to try to get new ones... big waste of time and money. I'm taking my future purchases to best buy or radio shack where i've never had problems getting broken products replaced after purchasing their protection plans. read more

I came to Office Depot on a Tuesday night around 7 pm. I was the only person shopping in the store. I was not greeted when I walked in. There was 2 employees at the register talking and 2 more in the back of the store also conversing. I was never asked if I needed help finding anything. I spend 10 minutes searching for this specific item. Upon check out I was stuck waiting behind an employee who was purchasing a coke and they were unable to get her phone number entered for what I assume to be her employee discount. After waiting for the employee to finish her transition, the employee at the register did not say a word to me. He simply rang up my item, I swiped my card, and left. Will never be. returning. read more

My friend dropped off a package with perishables in it for Office Depot to pass onto FedEx on Friday. They said that it would be delivered to be on Sunday. Monday came and I called them, as my package had not been received by FedEx yet. A woman working at Office Depot informed me that FedEx does not pick up from them on the weekend. Why did the woman working tell my friend that FedEx would pick up over the weekend then? The woman said that FedEx would pick up my package that day (Monday). Tuesday came with still no package movement. I called again. They said that they had no packages and that FedEx must have forgotten to scan my package when they picked it up. I finally received an alert that FedEx ground had picked up my package 6 hours after I had last called Office Depot. I truly hope that this incompetence has not caused my perishables to die. If we had known it would take until today (Tuesday) for the package to get to FedEx, we would have gone straight to a FedEx store (although we will now probably skip FedEx altogether now). read more
