My husband and I used both their daycare and boarding services, and I always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their hands, whether it was for the day while we were at work or while we were out of town. That peace of mind means so much when you're trusting someone else with your fur baby. And this is definitely not the kind of place where dogs are just sitting in kennels all day. Our girl would come home so adorably exhausted after daycare that there was absolutely no question she had spent her day playing and having the best time. They even host cute little parties for the pups and do things like costume contests, which I always thought was such a sweet touch. The entire staff is incredible. You can genuinely tell how much they love animals and care about the dogs they look after, and that makes such a difference when you're leaving your pup with someone for hours or even days at a time. Joanne and Michelle have taken care of our two cats multiple times over the past few months, and most recently Michelle noticed our elder cat with diabetes was not acting herself. She immediately informed us when her condition worsened, and after calling the vet to schedule a visit, and with practically zero prior notice, Joanne came and took our cat in. The quick response from Michelle and Joanne no doubt saved our cat's life, as she was starting to undergo diabetic ketoacidosis and needed to be transferred to the ER. Throughout the entire ordeal, they checked in with us as we rushed to come home early. They treated our cat as if she was a member of their family, and I'll always be indebted to their incredible compassion and care. With every visit, Michelle and Joanne always give us a quick rundown of how the visit went, and spend considerable effort to make sure both cats are fed and taken care of properly. He's a little guy, so he tends to go downhill quickly if he doesn't get treatment quickly. The vet I typically use said they couldn't see him until 3 days later, even after explaining his symptoms. I didn't want to make my pup suffer that long and I was really concerned because it was getting progressively worse rather quickly. I called local vets. Some weren't taking new patients, some didn't have any openings, some weren't friendly or informative over the phone when I called. I called Lompoc Veterinary Clinic, they could not see him HOWEVER, Lori couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She was so patient and gave me a long list of other local vets & numbers to try. I was very appreciative of her extra efforts and her caring manner. Not long after my conversation with her she called me back telling me she forgot one other option. She totally went the extra mile and my pet isn't even a patient at this clinic. I'm so grateful to Lori because that phone call made all the difference. I called that last option she gave me and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It's VERY rare these days where a business does what they're getting paid to do, even more rare when they're going above and beyond without getting paid for it! I SO appreciate Lori's kindness, thoughtfulness, and her going the extra mile. This is exactly the type of service I would love for my fur baby to receive. They had all the equipment needed to run tests and figure out what was going on, and every single person we interacted with was kind, patient, and incredibly understanding. When it came time to say goodbye to Roxy, they made one of the hardest moments of our lives feel as peaceful and supported as possible. Their compassion truly meant everything to us. A few years later, we found ourselves in that position again with our 15-year-old Dodger (our Black Mouth Cur).
