WE CURRENTLY OWN two Honda vehicles--a 2017 Honda Pilot we bought from King Honda at the old…read morelocation in Auburn AL, and a 2018 Honda CRV we bought in Butte MT. The Honda Brand Hondas have been the most trouble free vehicles we have owned since the 1980s--including a Civic and two earlier CRVs. Dependability, security, comfort, and value have always been the case with our vehicles. The company has made significant improvements to reliability and driver assistance systems in recent years. The Old King Honda The old location was a dump. Dirty, cramped, and deteriorating facility. I hope the next property owner bulldozes the buildings and parking lot and builds an attractive, new business for a fast-growing economy. The New King Honda The brand new dealership is in a great location at Hwy 280 and Opelika Rd. The sales staff need sales training and customer service skills to match their products and the clientele. Fat lazy guys sitting at their new desks is a tired old way of doing business (or not doing it). The old paradigm of 7:30 to 6:00 six days a week is crushing to a sales group and results in low morale, in-fighting, poor health, and cynicism. The old ways of being "Like a Used Car Salesman" isn't going to work for the business or the people. The service people also need help. Ignoring customers, turning your back, talking on the phone, making excuses, and trying to impress customers with your superior knowledge won't cut it. Greeting people, listening carefully, affirming your commitment and understanding, and looking for ways to help--these are the proven skills of up-selling and repeat business. Mr. Dave King, it's time to get your money's worth--and give your customers their money's worth. And P.S. Fiona is your best employee. J.W.Warren

On October 24, 2025, my son, an Auburn student, told me his 2018 Honda Accord was acting strange…read morewith all the dash warning indicators coming on. He took it to King Honda and was told it needed fuel injectors replaced at a cost of $2200. He was also told he needed a front and rear brake job at another $800. I authorized the injector repairs but told him to wait on the brakes. He was coming home to Louisiana for Thanksgiving, and we would have the brakes checked at our local dealer. Our local dealer said the brakes were nowhere near needing replacement, with 50-60 % life left. I was not feeling great about this dealership, as even though they told us they had to wait for parts on the injector repair, the car was ready a day early, and they kindly took my $2200. I would not trust them again.

Be extra cautious when buying from this dealer!…read more Kevin was friendly, helpful, and spent a lot of time assisting me with the purchase and financing. I appreciate his effort as a salesperson. Unfortunately, the overall dealership experience was disappointing. I had an appointment scheduled with Mr. Rob, but he was not available, and the process was handled by Kevin. The vehicle had visible dust and about 45 miles on it before the test drive. After the car was washed and the paperwork was completed, I noticed a dent. I was told it would be repaired, but after multiple follow‑ups over the next 2-3 weeks, I was informed the part could not be fixed and that it was considered a Hyundai manufacturing issue. There was also visible trunk door misalignment, which I was told was "common." During a long trip, another Hyundai dealer questioned whether the car had been in an accident due to panel misalignment and identified a charging port door issue. Although they agreed it required repair, the necessary parts were on backorder. I was also told that a mandatory $499 fee was added because a "ceramic coating" was already applied to all vehicles and could not be removed; however, the product applied was Permaplate, not a true ceramic coating, which made this explanation misleading. Combined with other dealer‑added items totaling approximately $2-3k, this added to the frustration. Overall, this experience felt like taking delivery of a vehicle that needed multiple fixes, rather than a brand‑new car. While Kevin did his job well, the post‑sale support, communication, and transparency were poor.

It had lights on for ABS and Air Bag, which was all we wanted looked at. My father had just the week before replaced the right front wheel bearing, yet the service dept quoted us $571.78 to replace the brand new bearing, plus $542.66 to replace the right front wheel speed sensor. The sensor can be purchased for $15 at Rockauto.com, yet their part price is $281.72! As for the air bag, they quoted us $849.36 for a spiral cable and $1,573.01 for a new air bag. A new air bag can be purchased online for about $125, not the $1,371.78 they quoted us. And, then there were the upsell attempts: tune up for $168.18, coolant flush for $183.32, and fuel induction service for $164.47. The grand total for the estimate is $3,906.17. This is abhorrent that they would try to take advantage of a college student and/or the student's parents by overinflating the price of each item and suggesting other unnecessary services. I spoke with the service advisor today to tell them that my daughter will pick up her Rogue soon and that we will not be returning. I am annoyed that we have to pay them the $104.07 diagnostic fee for not properly diagnosing her vehicle's issues. It appears that the 4.7 star rating here on Google comes largely from ratings for the sales department. If you look at the one-star reviews, they are almost all regarding the service department. It is situations like this that encourage customers to find other options for servicing their vehicles.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I purchased a pathfinder from Nissian in March of this year. The buying process was super easy, salesman was very nice. (I attempted to get an extended warranty upon purchasing the vehicle but was told I was unable to finance that into my loan and if I wanted it, it would be $2000 that day) I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The fastest I ever bought a car. I was thrilled! Couldn't believe buying a car was this simple. Initially, everything went well. Then, things took a turn for the worst. In July the AC compressor went out. I immediately called the dealer and was told that I purchased the vehicle "as is" (DUH) and there was nothing they could do about it. Obviously because I had not had the vehicle that long I expected them to take some responsibility for the vehicle they sold to me. I read other reviews that stated Nissian only accepted a small amount of used vehicles because they wanted to make sure the products they sold were "quality". If this ain't the BIGGEST lie I ever did read. Moving along, I ended getting the compressor fixed no thanks to Nissian. October rolls around and thermostat goes out, no big deal. I expect that when the weather changes. Now November gets here and the TRANSMISSION has gone bad. Well actually, it's been bad but it got worse. I took the car in for a diagnostics and these folks gone say I need TIRES, an ALIGNMENT, a NEW BATTERY, battery CABLES & a TRANSMISSION on a vehicle they just sold me 8 months ago. I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE that I ever bought a Nissian and I especially hate I did business with this particular racist dealership. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOLKS. They do not care about you unless you a certain color. And RICK needs to take some empathy classes with his lowdown self.
