I hate leaving this review. We have been loyal customers since 2012. At the time, they were a smaller shop, great staff and they took care of people. But they started growing....and expanding...and they lost something along the way. Customer service was first to go. Then affordability. Those I can deal with, I understand that things have gotten more expensive and when you are dealing with more and more people, a little something gets lost. But I draw the line at integrity. About a year ago, my son hit something and ruined a tire. I sent him to Tiger Tire. He picked out an inexpensive tire that met his needs and wouldnt require him to buy 3 new tires. They had to order it. I took his car up and had them install it and when I went to pay, it was nearly double the initial price. They told me that was what he ordered. I asked him later and he showed me the invoice for the tire he ordered. I was pissed, but OK, mistakes happen. 3 weeks ago, he went to have air added to a tire. They told him he needed 4 new tires because of dry rot and quoted him $1100 plus mounting. This is a 19 year old kid, he believed them. I told him to check Walmart and other places, thinking maybe he could save a hundred or so bucks. Walmart had virtually the same tire, mounted and balanced, for $490! When he went to have them installed last night, the technician asked why he was replacing perfectly good tires. The dry rot was nonexistant. Just an excuse for Tiger Tire to make $1100 plus dollars. I am done with them. They wil never get another dime of my money. read more

My experience with Tiger Tire and auto in Auburn,Ala. was profoundly disappointing and has resulted in a complete lack of trust.I initially brought my 1992 Chevrolet Silverado for a "no start" issue. They diagnose and replace the fuel pump, assuring me via text that this would resolve the problem. However, upon picking my vehicle up on May13,2025, the truck exhibited severe issue including rough surging idling, engine stalling out, and non functioning fuel gauge- all while still on their property.This clearly indicated the original issue was not resolved, and a new problem had appeared after their service. Despite these obvious malfunction, I was told the truck was ready and operative. Compounding these issues, the shop's communication and honesty were severely lacking. (1) Shifting Diagnosis: After the failed repair, I was vaguely informed of additional problems (in-need of a odometer cluster, and a tune-up) by service adviser Jackson Hadaway(May 13,2025), and another staff member suggested a electrical shortage on May 14.2025. Crucially,none of these new diagnosis were based on any actual diagnostic work by the shop. (2) Inflated and Deceptive Towing Charges: I was charged $200.00 for the initial tow to their shop. Service Adviser Jackson Hadaway and another staff member claimed the towing company( Tiger Towing of Opelika, Ala.) had invoiced them for $200.00. However, I later confirmed directly with Tiger Towing that their actual invoice to Tiger Tire and Auto was only $150.00. This blatant discrepancy is clear evidence of dishonesty and deceptive billing practices. (3) Confusing Veteran Discount: My attempt to understand their veteran discount revealed more inconsistency. A staff member gave one explanation ( based on parts and labor cost),while management(Joe Jordan) stated it was 10%, but with very confusing specifics. The complete absent of any visible signage or clear written policy for this discount highlights a lack of transparency. Given their failure to correctly diagnose and fix the initial problem,the appearance of new issues after their work and their highly questionable billing practices. I have completely lost confidence in this auto shop. I am currently pursuing a full refund for their unsatisfactory and potentially damaging service. I urge other consumers to exercise extreme caution before trusting Tiger Tire and Auto with their vehicle. Michael S. read more

I couldn't say enough good things about these guys! They were super friendly and nice. I got a call with my price estimate before any work was done and they got my car fixed in less than a day. They were honest, respectful, and efficient. As a woman, most car guys talk to you like you're an idiot or try to talk you into paying for unnecessary fixes. These guys were not like that all. Thieves they charged me $1000 to replace my undercarriage. Because supposedly my rack and pinion was stuck. It took them one week to do. They are sick people that enjoy taking advantage of people who are in need. If you are stuck there because they towed you there. Just relax and pay extra to leave. TLDR: avoid unless you want to wait 3-5 business days for the slightest thing done on your car. Even then they still might not get it right. Do not use this place. My girlfriends alternator gave out in her car on a Wednesday morning around 8 in the morning. She called and got her car towed to Tiger Tire & Auto. The guy at the front desk told her that they would check her car and get back to her around lunch. Two days later and still no word. We called several times asking how her car was coming along and was told that they were "just about to get to it". We ended up getting a new battery put in the car on the 3rd day and still that took 4 hours somehow. When we go to pick up the car in the afternoon after they had been closed we find out the mechanics never even connected the new battery.. they just simply set it in place. We called their service number and we were told they don't connect the battery because it can cause it to drain when the car isn't running‍. read more

Tiger Tire and Auto deserves 5 stars. Maybe even 6 stars. If you live in Auburn, this is the place to get your car fixed. I called them as a 2nd opinion after Franklin Auto had given me an estimate. I talked to Brandon, who owns the place but I didn't realize it at that time. He was great on the phone and quickly provided me an estimate which was about $400 cheaper. They were able to get my car towed (they have the cheapest rate for towing in Auburn by the way) and quickly got to work. They had my car ready as promised and though it was still expensive, the final bill was slightly less than the estimate provided. When I needed to pick up my car, they were great to have somebody drive it home for me. I noticed while I was waiting that they were very busy but were still completely courteous to their clients. Makes it easier to shell out money when you get the feeling that you are dealing with earm people that are unlikely to cheat you. Visit Tiger Tire and Auto. The only AAA certified auto mechanics in Auburn. I know that just sounded like I work for them but I promise that I really don't. read more

Purchased a set of tires from a reputable online dealer who had an installation arrangement with Tiger Tire. Tires were shipped to Tiger Tire, arrived in a timely manner and when I showed up for the installation I was informed by the General Manager that they would not install the tires for the arranged price and that they would do it for $60.00 more. Stated it was because they were aluminum rims. This should be clearly outlined in the agreement/advertising. After all the quote was for a specific car/rim/tire combination. They may have gotten an extra $60 for the job. It cost them a future customer. On the good side the mechanics were professional, knowledgeable and worked efficiently. Let's be honest about the situation anyone that knows me will say that I always kept my interior clean and the fact that he admitted it speaks volumes and then he went on to say that he had only been there a short period and I asked him what does that have to do with anything that's common sense to respect others property and not to get in people cars without putting something on the seat when you know that you were just sitting on the dirty and dusty floor. One thing about it everything is the truth and about you vacuum up the mess you can't do too much with a broken machine that doesn't work properly. Here is some advice always be honest no matter if the truth hurts always respect your customer's property because everyone isn't nasty. Always put your best foot forward and train your employees the correct way even when you think that they should already know right from wrong these things will go a lone way. I used this service last Monday night. The driver was texting and driving thru out our trip from Al to GA where I live. When we arrived at my home the driver was sooo preoccupied with his phone call that he forgot to engage the emergency brakes on my car! He released my car and it went flying off the wrecker, running over my sons new motorcycle and lunged into my home. The driver tried to get me to let him push my car off the house but I told him no its 1100 pm and we can't see. If there's any damages I'll call your office in the morning. Well I did that. After claiming to have fired the driver and giving me the run around for a week over the phone with Chris and Jason, they finally told me that they were not going to do the responsible thing and give me their insurance info. So I had to file a small claims court here in GA and to my surprise I can also Sue them for pain and suffering!!! I sent them the smallest estimate and everything. Including video of the damages! Personally I feel if my skin were another color I wouldn't have this problem! But I love a challenge and can't wait to get them in front of a judge! YOUR PROPERTY IS NOT SAFE WITH THIS COMPANY! AND THEY BREAK LAWS BY LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT AND THEY CONN YOU BY OVER CHARGING ON THE MILES! read more

Last year when my son's car wouldn't start, he called Tiger Tire & Auto. They were amazing and gave him a very fair price. A couple of months later it went out again, and they fixed it at no cost. Just this week it went out again, and they again fixed it under warranty. He asked them to also fix an oil leak (that was probably causing the starter to go out), and they did it quickly and at a very fair price. It is so nice to know that my son has a great auto repair place that we can all rely on while he's away at school. read more

My washer fluid reservoir was busted while my car was being towed, and they said, no that couldn't have happened. They will not even come back and look at my car to investigate. it was fine when it left my house, and when it got to the repair shop it poured out. They say that the reservoir is under the hood, but mine runs all the way down to the undercarriage of the car in the front. I used them because I have AAA, but will never use them again! read more

I highly recommend Tiger Tire for not only tires but general repair. They are very honest, do not try to push products but give good advice relative to your auto and situation. The prices are reasonable, timing is quite good and I have always felt they deserve a "well done" when I leave. I should note the staff is knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. My son's brake light kept blowing out. Took the car to Tiger Tire. They could have charged me $300 to replace the board that controls the system, but instead they spent the time to determine the problem and they fixed it for $49.00. You don't see this kind of service anymore. These guys are great. They even arranged to get me a ride back to my son's apartment. read more

I went to the another tire/auto shop to fix a flat tire and they refused to fix it because it had been 'rolled' which is fine I understood, but they were insanely rude and told me to find another shop. So I came here and everyone was super nice and they fixed my tire very fast. All it needed was a patch! Will continue coming here. read more

This service is not ethical or caring! Do not use! They had my car stored on there off site lot, and it had been striped for parts. When they notified us all and ask what we would like to do about it, all I asked for is a list off the missing parts. They said they would provide that for us but they never gave it to us and have since put us on a do not service list and has told us they got rid of the car! read more

I love tiger tire! A lot of auto service places will take advantage of people because they assume you don't know what your car needs, but the guys here don't try to pull any fast ones on you. They're honest people who know what they're doing. They're friendly, reliable, and always get the job done. The only downside is that they do stay pretty busy so you might have to wait a little while, but that's something to be expected with most auto service places. read more

I am not from the Auburn area, I was visiting the area when my alternator died. Tiger is a AAA-approved service center, so I sent my car there and they put in a new (rebuilt) alternator. Two days later, after I got home (600 miles away), the new alternator stopped working. I don't think this had anything to do with Tiger Tire, sometimes rebuilt alternators just fail. After replacing the alternator again in my home city, I called Chris at Tiger and explained what happened. Tiger refunded my entire amount without any trouble, and even paid for me to ship the bad alternator back to them. They went the extra mile to do the right thing, and I would recommend them highly. read more

The gentlemen who work in the office at Tiger Tire are some of the rudest associates in customer service I've ever seen. They did some maintenance work on my vehicle and directly after picking it up, I noticed a knocking noise in the back driver side. I was returned, not to accuse them of messing my car up, but to see if they could listen to it and let me know what they thought. I was treated with total disrespect and was told that they would not have time to look at my vehicle until another day. When I brought up that I just paid them over $100 to work on my car and needed to make sure it wasn't anything serious (I have an infant) they told me they didn't care. I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone, not even someone I hated. I've never been made to feel as stupid as those gentlemen made me feel. I took my car to another shop a few miles down the road and it was a complete 180. The guys at Best Tire and Auto did a great job and didn't look at me and speak to me like I was a complete moron. Tiger Tire and Auto has no compassion for their customers, so keep that in mind when you do business with them. read more
