I was so excited about vegan nachos. They are hard to come by. But I was so disappointed, the queso was sweet and the chips tasted funny, I am assuming it's the oil they use. In addition, it had a burnt flavor to it. Guac was bland, but I did like the pico de gallo. We were the only ones dining upstairs mid afternoon, but our wait staff was no where to be found. Overall a disappointing experience.

This is a Mexican restaurant inside Plant City. We need to place an online order if we opt to do a pick up. They also have a fine dining area that looks super nice. But we opted for pick up and had a nachos and rice and beans. Everything tasted good, but the chips in nachos were super crispy and didn't blend well with the other toppings.

The food at Besina was 10/10 delicious! And it's vegan?! Plant City has several great plant-based options. For sit down, we got to pick between 3 or 4 options and decided on Besina. It had its own specific seating area outside. The waterfront views and downtown vibes in their outdoor seating area are fantastic. My husband and I ordered the Tlayuda to share. It was enough food for the two of us. Looking around at the other tables as well, the portions here are huge! The Tlayuda was a pizza with a crispy tortilla for a base. It had a saucy jackfruit as the main topping. It was flavorful and juicy. The avocados and cashew crema were also very tasty toppings. This dish was such a fun concept, and a hit for both of us. The churros were good, but the chocolate sauce that came with it was the real star! I haven't had a vegan version of this before so I was super excited for it. It did not disappoint. The tiramisu donut however was not what I was hoping for. It was a cream filled donut. It didn't taste like a tiramisu to me so I wasn't a fan. It was decent for a donut though! The churro latte was fantastic. I thought it was overpriced at first, but the drink was HUGE! I got it with pistachio milk, which I've never had before, and I highly recommend it. I really wish I lived closer to here because this place would be my go-to so quick! Highly recommend visiting Plant City and Besina. Especially if you're vegetarian or vegan but even if you're not! I traveled from Boston and honestly it's so worth it. Make the trip!

    Chili Relleno's- delicious!

Kick ass! This was yummy and amazing. The vibe of the restaurant is modern yet very comfortable. Not pretentious at all. We had the Tyaluda app (a yummy Mexican style pizza but on a tortilla). This was both of our favorite item. Perfect and was easily a meal on its own. My BF had the chili rellonos for his main - 2 stuffed poblanos. It was delicious and a very generous portion. I had the salad and it was fresh, yummy and HUGE. We took half of everything home for dinner. Amazing value. He had a classic margarita and I had the cardamargarita. Both were very good but his was awesome. A perfect margarita. We did Churros for dessert. They came with a chocolate dipping sauce and a vanilla. These were very yummy but the center was a little moist still. Yummy all the same but not exactly like the classic churro. Overall we LOVED it here and will definitely be back. Service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Great job Plant City!

I'm a huge Matthew Kenney fan; have eaten at at least a dozen or so of his restaurants or collaborations so I was really excited to try, but the food fell really flat. I'm wondering if they had an off day or something because I have never had a bad experience at a Matthew Kenney restaurant. The service was great. Our server was awesome, though I do think she should have called the bartender out for making a 60% full martini. I used to be a bartender and I never would have served someone just over half a drink, especially when they're paying ~$20 for it. If I didn't put enough in the shaker, I would do the right thing and make it again. The nachos were excellent. This and the interior design are why I'm giving 3 stars (and because it pains me to diss a vegan business). The chorizo tacos were a bit soggy and tasted overwhelmingly like black licorice. I couldn't have more than two bites. I took the rest home where more people tried it, agreed, and they ended up in the trash. I have sent food back 1-2 times in my life and wish I did this time. The burrito was just okay, a little bland. The dorados tacos were also just okay. I had planned on ordering the ice cream but chose not to after trying the food. I still got to try it when our table ordered an affogato and I was glad I didn't order it--the ice cream tasted like the lowest quality vegan vanilla ice cream you can get at any supermarket. All of the food had an amazing presentation. Overall I was disappointed. I will eat any vegan food but even I found it to be inedible.

Besina has delicious, plant-based Mexican-inspired cuisine in a beautiful setting by the river. They are one of three full service restaurants in the all-vegan food hall called Plant City, a project by celebrity chef Matthew Kenney. We enjoyed everything from the food to the al fresco dining to the decor.

Stood up to service even as room reached capacity. We had two non vegans and one vegan. Everyone loved the food. We had: Crispy Brussels and Smashed Patatas Brava for starters - delicious and had leftovers to save room for dinner. Special grinder with chickpea as protein, Harissa roasted carrots, and Country Chicken for the vegan. Outstanding flavors, great presentations, and no skimping on dish size. I especially thought the Country chicken elicited old flavor and taste buds pre-vegan. Chicken was moist, firm and delicious, Loved the gravy and potatoes. The cornbread was moist and delicious with cinnamon butter dripping generously over it. Only con is I'm 3000 miles away, but will be back!

Everything was processed food. You can make 'chick'n from jackfruit and hearts of palm. Burgers from literally anything. Tortillas from lentils, ground 'meat' from mushrooms, chickpeas or lentils, the options go on and on. Instead, the country fried chicken was either impossible chick'n tenders or beyond meat tenders. The burger, was also either impossible or beyond meat. I can buy those at any grocery store and whip up some mashed potatoes and gravy. I wanted something different. Plant based doesn't have to mean overly processed food. They're highly focused on allergies, which is nice, but being vegan doesn't mean we have allergies to everything. It just means we don't want to consume animal products. There are millions of options to make food and they chose the easy route. A wholesale bag of chick'n tenders for, maybe 25 -50 bucks and then sell 3 tenders, and some potatoes for 20 bucks. Pianta, please step up your game!

The menu rotates with a few constants, and the food is always flavorful and delicious. Today we had the spreads plate, which was a great starter, followed by the grilled octopus and the chicken thighs; all the food is so unique and nothing like anything else I have had in Providence. We finished the night off with the olive oil cake and vanilla gelato, a menu staple and my favorite! Besides the food, the ambiance is great and depending on where you sit you can watch your food being cooked which is cool! The service is great, and the restaurant is BYOB or you can purchase wine from the store next door. Overall, if you haven't tried Amaryllis yet you should go immediately because you'll regret not going sooner!

They partner with the wineshop next door so you can grab a chilled bottle ahead of your dinner. The bistro tables are so cute and love the bistro lights over Westminster. The seating does feel very weather dependent as the interior looked very small without the patio. The menu is small, but highlights some great seasonal options. Plenty of vegetarian dishes with some meat thrown in. The highlight for me was the cheeseboard. I'm not usually the type to order a cheeseboard, but this one did not disappoint. It had a great variety of cheese and the dark chocolate with honey was some of the best chocolate I've ever had. We got the pea pasta for a main and the pasta was perfectly done, the sauce wasn't super flavorful for me. So I'd probably stick to other dishes off their Summer menu. For dessert I'm a sucker for an olive oil cake and couldn't let this one pass me by. It was excellent! If you are into olive oil cake I highly recommend it. We also got the peach galette which was quite tasty as well. Overall a lovely spot where you can tell people care about the artistry of every plate that heads out the door.

Rock music played not too loudly in the background as we were served and as we looked at the menu. The menu is digital. I hate this. Maybe they had a physical menu, but we didn't ask. We grumbled amongst ourselves and scanned the QR code and used our phones. It might seem like a small thing, but I really, really hate using my own phone to look at a restaurant's menu while at sitting at the restaurant. Anyways, I digress. For drinks, we got the chai latte (with oat milk) and coffee. We ordered the Special Eggs Benedict (half portion, for one person) and the shakshuska. The coffee was good. I appreciate the attentiveness of our server and that they came to refill the coffee. I really like the chai latte and glad that they listed which one it is (Rishi Masala Chai). The egg benedict has a really thick homemade bacon. It is soft and falls apart readily, but was a tad too salty. The bread was a bit tough and too thick for our liking (maybe we should have read the description more carefully oops, because when they say thick they meant thick). The fries were tasty. There was just one egg for a $26 benedict. The shakshuka was my first time trying shakshuka! To me, it tastes pretty similar to chili. I really enjoyed its tangy tomato and spicy flavors. There were two eggs in it. Honestly, I think it would be better with like four eggs. Now, the garlic bread: the garlic bread was so good, so garlicky. The garlic bread was both of our favorite. Overall, good vibes and good food and good customer service.
