I've used Bernie's several times. I can always get someone on the phone, they come quickly, are extremely knowledgeable, approachable and, most importantly, honest. Last week I had an outdoor faucet that wouldn't turn on. Glen was able to fix it very quickly. When he finished, he willingly looked at another faucet I was worried about. Sunday morning Jan, 19, 2025 I found my hot water heater was off. I scrambled to find someone to come help, called the big guys "YES" guys, they said they could help but it will be wednesday before they could come,wow! My next call was to Bernie's plumbing, no answer, but after I hung up he returned my call, he couldn't get the original call because he was in the shower. he took my information told me it would take him some time but he would come and save us. What a great service he rendered to me and my wife. Bernie repaired it for half what it would have cost me if I went out and bought a new water heater and installed my self, which I probably would have done had he not called back. Way better than larger companies. Same day service. Excellent service. Good value. The water heater gas burner was covered under warranty, and we had an authorization number for the parts store that could be used to cover the price of the parts. We called a large company to replace the burner on our water heater. They showed up without the parts and didn't know if they could get the parts using the authorization or not. They later sent an bid for a new water heater ~$2800 or service on the existing water heater $390. When I called Bernie's, he just asked for serial number and model. Called me a little later saying he was heading to the parts store and he would do all the paperwork to make the parts free. He scheduled a same day appt to come fix it. We had hot water within hours of calling Bernie. It also only cost us $150. It was fast, easy, and inexpensive. We know who to call next time we have plumbing or heating needs. If I could give him zero stars I would. HORRIBLE customer service. As soon as he answered the phone he didn't even care about my issue and immediately snapped back saying he can't go because he just got home. If that is going to be your answer, then don't list your business opened for 24 hours a day. I'm disappointed. read more

I have called Glenn for several years to take care of my plumbing needs for a duplex I owned. He was always prompt and took care of whatever I needed. Some of the problems kept recurring because of tenant neglect. I give him five stars because he recommended making some changes that eliminated the problem rather than just keep returning to fix problems. He would have been able to charge me more for recurring fixes. Instead, he put my best interests first. I recommend him highly. I see that two others have given him very negative reviews. I find it disturbing that rather than apologize for his terrible behavior and treatment toward me, he would rather tell people it's a false review. One of the things I appreciated most was that he wasn't a "salesman" trying to up-sell me to a membership, annual plan, or any other expensive program. I have to totally agree w/ Michael after yesterday's service call. He didn't have anything good to say about anybody, including the home warranty company who contacted him in our behalf. The day after his non-visit (nothing done) and collecting his service fee, the water heater he had checked out stopped working. This morning we have no hot water for anything in my home. I called this guy because his phone number was on my water heater to call if i needed service, I had a very simple question about a step i wasn't sure about on installing a new control valve i had gotten on my hot water heater. no exaggeration, he told me he was in this business to make money not to give advice. This was a simple yes or no question..... I wasn't asking him to walk me through installing the device or anything like that, just a simple yes or no.... and he refused to help unless i payed him. After we hung up i called the next number i found in the phone book and received a courteous answer and the help I needed. Probably the worst serviceman I've ever met. Left the job uncompleted and overcharged me. I called back to try to resolve the issue and was told to find another plumber. Duh.
