Discouraged I would ever get my car fixed, I was recommended to Van Dyne Automotive and was assured if anyone could fix it, they could. It's a small place and I had never heard of them before but I took another chance and I am very happy I did. The mechanic Brian was very busy but fit me in right away, I was waiting on my friend to pick me up as I figured it would take days to figure out like all the other places did, but before my ride arrived, Brian had already found and repaired the issue that was making my car run so badly. I was shocked and in disbelief, but he assured me that it was definitely what was causing the problem, he explained it all to me but I don't remember what it was, it seemed complicated to me but Brian said it a simple repair that the other places missed. I don't know if he has magic powers or is just really awesome at his job, but my car has never ran better, it's smoother and quieter than it was when it was new! I am so thankful for finding this place, I only spoke with Brian as he was the only one there, I don't know how he manages to do it, as he was fixing cars, answering the phone, and checking people in at the front desk, but he is my hero for helping me even when he was so busy already, he didn't even charge me for the magic he worked! I offered to pay him anything for helping me save my car and not having to buy a new one, but he declined and said he was happy to help. Magic hands, friendly, and handsome, too bad he isn't single, lol. Van Dyne Automotive has a new customer for life! One mechanic did what teams of others at much bigger places could not, the difference was finding a professional magician that knows what he's doing. *Wayne's has an F rating from Better Business Bureau*…read more Tldr- Wayne's performed shoddy work on my car, I made them aware of it, they lied about confirming that their work was correct, I had to take the car to a good mechanic to fix their mistake. Wayne's replaced the timing belt on my car and in doing so, improperly timed the rear balance shaft. It was immediately noticeable to me. I began the back and forth over text with manager Jeff. He repeatedly told me he didn't think the balance shaft was the issue, but they would check it for me. I made sure to keep the interactions with Jeff in text because of the inconsistencies and snarky responses he gave me. I texted Jeff to specifically ask if the balance shaft timing had been confirmed via the maintenance hole and not just the timing marks (this is a crucial step), and Jeff told me yes. Unfortunately, that was a lie. Lindsay Honda confirmed this when I took it to them where they took it apart and corrected Wayne's work. The balance shaft was 180 degrees out of phase. This entire process took weeks. I pointed out the most obvious cause for the symptoms immediately after I picked the car up, and they continuously tried to point to other unrelated things. The scary part is, even after showing Wayne's (manager, ceo, coo) literal proof that they did the work incorrectly, they refuse to acknowledge it. Instead, they deflect and shift the focus to their "extraordinary" efforts to help. Wayne's did eventually refund my labor cost, as well as the cost of a timing belt cover that their mechanic damaged by also installing that improperly (how nice of them). They also drove the car to a different shop to "inspect" it, where they also found nothing wrong with it-because they didn't take it apart to reveal what was wrong with it the entire time-the part that Wayne's installed incorrectly. They may as well have walked around it kicking the tires. Terrible experience. Wayne's did bad work and then lied about confirming that it was correct. To the people at Wayne's-it's not realistic to believe that you don't make mistakes. It happens. You just gotta fix it, and you absolutely failed at that. Too much focus on condescension, perhaps. Again-the proof is now public, and you still won't admit it. My car is good to go now! No thanks to Wayne's, all the thanks to Lindsay Honda!

I made a morning appointment for shocks and a recall which should have taken a couple hour. I get there on time and the guy tells me it's going to be 3.5-4 hour. Seriously, this is why I made an appointment. I say okay and go sit down. I sit there for 4 hours and then they come and tell me that they can't fix my car today. I asked why, she stated they have the parts but they are short staffed, WTH!! She said they have a courtesy car that I can use until my car is ready. Fine, I'm tired just give me the car and let me leave. They call the next day about 4:20p that my car is ready. I leave immediately to go get my car. I fill theirs with gas and take it back. I sign for my car that was both warranty repairs and leave. Then I drive home and receive a email for a $90 car rental invoice! Had they told me that I would be charged $90 for 27 hours/73 mile; I would have taken an Uber instead.
