Got into a nasty collision when someone decided to turn in front of me. Smashed in the driver side bumper, fender, headlight, grill, and the hood. Not good. I had just bought my Highlander so I was pretty upset. I was worried it was going to be totaled out. I have Progressive insurance and they like to set up claimants that own Toyotas with Midwest Auto Collision. Apparently these guys are the unofficial garage of Toyota West, which was a plus in my book, as they're used to dealing with Toyota vehicles. I dropped it off there and waited a few weeks until it was ready. It was not a very long wait given that they had to order parts and pretty much rebuild the front-end. I was pleased to see that it looked great when I finally got it back. Midwest even said it was okay to drop off my rental with them and they'd get it back to Enterprise... no worries. A couple weeks after I got my SUV back I noticed that the replaced headlamp was bouncing up and down on the highway, making my lights effectively flicker up and down. I called them up worrying that they would say it's not covered. But instead they gladly told me to bring in it back in. I drove in a few days later, and they remounted the light in 15 minutes and that was that. No extra money or stress. All around the folks there were extremely friendly and did a good job of putting my Highlander back together. A+ Customer Service. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DAVID COOPER! MIDWEST AUTO COLLISION TREATS CUSTOMERS HORRIBLE, ESPECIALLY WOMEN!!!! I was in an accident, my car needed cosmetic repairs, I agreed to let David Cooper, from Midwest Auto Collision repair my car. He had my car for nearly two weeks, when it was finished he tried to pressure my husband and I into paying him with cash instead of check...that was the first red flag. I told him no, came to pick up my car, had to sit in a filthy office for 30 minutes while he pulled my car around. It was nearly dark, and his shop is in a bad neighborhood, and I couldn't see my car well because there was inadequate lighting outside. The next morning, I went out to look my car over, and I saw there was paint over spray all over my car that David neglected to clean off. In my contract, the agreement was free full detail of car to customer, that did not happen...my car was filthy dirty, it looked like someone put muddy shoes all over the dash and inside of my car doors, the attention to detail was lacking to say the least. When I saw these things, I called David and asked why he did not honor our contractual agreement, he tried to talk over me and just kept telling me to bring it back in. I advised him that I don't have more time to waste bringing my car back to do something that should have been completed. He then became belligerent and said: I can make this easy on you or hard, which way do you fucking want it? I told him that he has no right to speak to me that way. He proceeded to curse at me and yell and finally hung up. I texted him to advise I am reporting him to the BBB. At that time, he started calling repetitively, and texting. I did not answer his calls. Not one time did David Cooper ever apologize take accountability for doing a terrible job on my car, and for breaching our contract. Stay away from Midwest Auto Collision. They will not honor your contract, if you say something, be prepared to be harassed and talked to like YOU did something wrong. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My car was given to this shop by a dealership to fix rust (under warranty). I dropped it off on a Saturday. The told us they would have done on Tuesday. We heard nothing from them so we called them on Wednesday. They told us it would be done on Thursday. Then, that same day, they called at 5 (right before they closed) and said that someone had put a small scratch on the hood and it wouldn't be ready to pick up until Friday. We got it Friday and I had a lengthy list of things that were wrong on the 3 panels that were brand new (among other things). We called the body shop the following Monday and they wanted to meet that night to go over the issues. We agreed and met at the dealership and the guy we met with took notes and pictures. He also was rude, condescending, and blamed us for issues his guys left on my car. (The guy's name is David Cooper). We told him they could have my car for that whole week AND the following week as we were going to be on vacation. He took it and assured us it would be totally done and waiting. We went this past Saturday to pick it up and out of the original 15 issues, 3.5 got fixed (one only partially)...and it ended up with TWO MORE issues. At this point I was totally fed up with their lies and "assurances" and told them they were done touching my car. We drove straight to the dealership and told them everything, showed them everything, and let them take their own pictures. We heard from the dealership today (Thursday) and this is what we were told...the body shop has lied to them and said we were trying to get them to repaint the whole car (the guy from the body shop repeatedly told US "I could repaint this whole car and it wouldn't cost me anything"--we said no such thing). read more

So I got into a hit and run accident a few weeks ago while driving my Honda Odyssey. I was kinda freaking out because I had never been in an accident before and had no idea what to do. Luckily I was close to home and was able to make it home. As it turned out one of my co-workers had just had her car repaired at Midwest Auto Collision and gave me their contact info. So I called and they came out to my house and took pictures of my van and took care of everything. The service was awesome they towed my van and had a rental car delivered to my home in no time at all. In less than 2 weeks they delivered my van back to my home perfectly repaired and detailed inside and out. I couldn't believe how clean and nice my van looked. They also covered my $500 deductible AWESOME I was sooo impressed and would recommend this body shop to anyone! ;) read more

I don't usually write reviews on yelp, honestly only ever really use it for finding restaurants but I felt I should say something about this experience. I bought a new car and enjoyed it for almost a month when pulling into the garage at work the car behind me failed to stop and drove right into the back of me. Not a good experience and I was crushed when I looked at the damage to my new car. I called two body shops near me that afternoon looking for quotes and was shocked not just at the estimates but more at the lack of customer service when I went to visit them, felt like I was not being heard when I voiced my concern and generally being upset about the damage to my new car. Sitting in the parking lot at the second of these shops I found Midwest Auto Collision on yelp and gave them a call expecting the same but was greeted with a very helpful guy on the phone. After having them take a look at the damage and give me a quote I dropped the car off and six days later picked it up hoping for the best. I am extremely pleased with the repairs, the damage is gone and there is no visible sign of the repairs made. It looks just as it did when I drove it off the lot from the dealership and I have been very happy with both the communication from Dave and the staff at Midwest Auto Collision. I can not speak highly enough of the quality of the work but most of all the way I was treated by the staff made me feel better in dealing with a bad situation. The price was very fair and they explained everything to me in a way that I really understood what they were going to do and did. I feel like I got a great deal and I while I hope I never need to use them again, if anything ever does happen I will have my car repaired here without hesitation. read more
