READING THIS COULD SAVE YOU OVER $25,000. I've posted MORE details of my experience on Google &…read moreBirdeye for you; not enough room here to describe MY WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE EVER. I will always regret my decision to stay in the consult appt. after I told Jamie Bryon that I was scheduled to work 7 days/wk [educating children] & she responded, "Well how is THAT going to work?" in a rude tone & she showed her displeasure of me reading the paperwork. I thought I would only have to deal w/ 1 rude person @ this co. I was wrong. She said I would need lipo on my upper abs. She also claimed that having lipo on my hips "would help with the fullness" in my lower abdomen {my main concern}. Nope. My lower abs still stick out further than my upper abs. DR. GARY BROWNSTEIN called me "OBESE" & YELLED @ me when I didn't have my clothes on during the 1st appt. w/ him. He said, "I'm going to make you look dangerous". HE DIDN'T. At my 1st f/u appt. he also DIDN'T take the tape off of the incisions before he RUSHED OUT to go do another procedure. He DIDN'T tell the nurses to remove it; they DIDN'T remember it from prev. exp. to do it, AND they DIDN'T follow their office protocol when I told them there is a hole in my abd. w/ red drainage. The DR.'s behavior showed my appts. for treatment were an inconvenience to him. He didn't change the abd. dressing 239 times...I did. The DR. was HIGHLY IRRITATED I was asking my questions. He was making condescending & demeaning comments multiple times; so unsupportive. He YELLED @ ME to "STAND UP STRAIGHT!" when I was bent over IN PAIN after the upper & lower abs lipo AND skin removal surgery with 2 INCISIONS - I was there to be evaluated because I had what looked like a white piece of plastic in my abd. I googled some questions to avoid his ire. I didn't know a lot about the procedure; I thought they would tell me everything I NEEDED/wanted to know. THEY DIDN'T. RealSelf.com appeared in my email. There, I found out a pt. should get at least 3 consults (5 is better) WITH SURGEONS to make sure you get the correct procedures performed. The Sono Bello staff & DR. withheld info. about the correct procedure that would have addressed my abdominal issues including it is better for pts. to be within 10-15 lbs of their goal weight before abd. procedures. Some drs. even recommend 5 lbs. Since he used a vertical incision as well as a horizontal incision for the skin removal, the infection got so bad due to their lack of treatment, it made the vertical scar completely open. With 2 x /day dressing changes it took ~ 4 months to close & left an unsightly scar. I couldn't listen to Taylor's song Blank Space without getting upset. I asked DR. B to fix it. He said, "IF IT OPENS UP, YOU'LL BE DEALING WITH ALL THAT CRAP AGAIN!!" I was hoping he wouldn't YELL AT ME AGAIN today. In front of MAGGIE, R.N., (1 of the nurses who didn't remove the tape & who YELLED AT ME @ a previous appt.), he asked me, "Does anyone else see it?" [the scar] in an uncaring tone. Since I pd. for the procedure, I don't think this should matter. I am expecting to get the "best possible result" because this statement is on a paper they gave me signed by DR. BROWNSTEIN. THEY DIDN'T. He has me lie on the table uncovered and says, "WHAT DON'T YOU LIKE ABOUT IT!?!" in an irritated tone. As he is standing to the left of my body, he grabs the bikini bottom garment I'm wearing and FORCEFULLY PULLS THEM DOWN, lower than necessary ~ 6 inches lower than the horizontal scar. He instructs MAGGIE to take a picture, she does not readjust the garment to preserve my dignity. (Again, they are NOT treating me with respect, consideration, and dignity at all times as promised on The Patient Rights & Responsibilities paper they gave me on 6/7/22. The only way I can describe this is EXCRUCIATINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE. He & DONNA seem to hate me. I am devastated that he won't fix the ugly scar [w/ a scar revision], loose skin on my abdomen AND my asymmetrical waist. Before I leave, I ask him for more info. from my chart. He is READING SO FAST, I am having difficulty writing it. He gets to the part that mentions dehiscence & then he says, "You remember dehiscence?" in a taunting tone. I nod yes, trying not to cry. He was standing on my R side & it sounded like he leaned in closer to my R ear when he said it, but I was looking at my notebook trying to write everything he was saying. I was thinking about their Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Christopher Chung's email sent to me on 4/24/22 stating in part, "Each of our physicians is a seasoned expert who cares about your health and satisfaction." During this visit & at other appts., Dr. Gary Brownstein's behavior, words, & tone showed HE DID NOT CARE about my health or satisfaction. Every time I listen to Taylor Swift's song MEAN, I can't help but think of DR. GARY BROWNSTEIN. On 11/26/25, I found out to surgically fix {to get a better result} the condition Sono Bello left me in is going to cost $22,144.00.

There aren't enough positive words in the English language to describe the experience I had with…read moreDr. Houser, his staff, and the results of my surgery. I've lived with gynecomastia for almost 30 years, which resulted in a great deal of self-consciousness and anxiety anytime I was forced to take off my shirt. After losing 75lbs, I looked to correct it in hopes that I could wear a tank top or go swimming without fear. Dr. Houser and his team are some of the kindest folks I've met in healthcare. They gave me a ton of information about the procedure and what I'd experience before, during, and after surgery. I was able to text or talk with my nurse anytime I had a question, which relieved a lot of the anxiety going into a surgery like this. And even better, the results were amazing. Every surgeon performs this kind of surgery a bit differently and I was nervous about the outcome. But when I took off the binder for the first time, I actually cried. The results were even better than I hoped. Post-surgery, I've been able to wear tank tops, go shirtless without fear, and participate in vigorous workouts without the discomfort of my man-boobs jumping all over the place. But more than anything else, I don't feel the anxiety that used to occupy most of my waking hours. I can wear shirts that fit instead of ones that hid my chest. If you're thinking of getting cosmetic surgery, look no further. Dr. Houser, Christin, and the rest of the crew are not only phenomenal at what they do, but they are kind, empathetic humans who care a great deal for their patients. They tell you what is realistic and if you ask me, they over-deliver when it comes to results.

(I want to clarify that this surgery was not performed by Dr. Hauser, who was going to be out of…read morethe office at the scheduled time of my surgery.) Finding out you have breast cancer is frightening. It does not only affect you, but your whole family. You naively trust you will have the best care and you put that trust in doctors that specialize in this field. I want to state that I am writing this review ONLY in the hope of protecting another woman from having the outcome that I sadly face and will continue to in some compacity, the rest of my life. After my cancer diagnosis, I had a double mastectomy with direct to implant. I had very realistic expectations and did not expect perfection since there would be no breast tissue and the breast were being created using implants and using ADM tissue to make a sling or pocket of sorts. I was told it was best that the implants would be above the muscle. Again, you unknowingly trust those you guided to trust. The double mastectomy was an outpatient surgery and I went home thinking "wow, this was so much better than expected?" Then I saw my breast for the first time. I felt as though I was not looking at my body. My breast were not just a little uneven, but drastically so. I had rolled skin under my arms like it was an after thought? My nipples, which should have never tried to been saved due to ptosis, sadly, just for the sake of another nipple sparing mastectomy, mine were left pointing straight down on both of my sadly sagging breast. (my right breast hanging much lower.) This isn't the worst part. What I found/find most disturbing and to be honest, I personally felt was cruel, was the lack of care. Not just medical care, but such a lack of empathy to my circumstance and my unhappiness of the outcome. A month after surgery I started feeling new swelling and pain in my left breast. The swelling became so intense my breast was bruised from top to bottom. This scared me and I am not a person that is faint of heart. I am pain tolerant and I have a positive disposition. This is my first negative review and I felt convicted to write this only to state to women who need to understand as I needed and wish I knew, that you must be your own advocate. After seeing this swelling increase, and calling the nurse of this surgeon, I was told to take pictures of my breast and send them (text) for viewing. Upon receiving a text back, it was stated that the bruising and swelling was not specifically caused from the implant and it would heal? Now, I found myself after being cleared of cancer, which I thank God for, I was facing what was supposedly the easy part of healing with new breast and moving on with my life, became the nightmare that was far more than I could ever have imagined. Days after being dismissed by the surgeon who would have NEVER tolerated the results of the incompetency of this surgery if it was his wife or family member...I ended up in the ER with my right breast swollen so badly it was like a balloon and I could not even touch without pain. I had to have a CT guided aspiration to alleviate the swelling and help the pain. A seroma had formed under the breast implant causing it to push forward and blood to pool. Which he probably knew and if not, that in itself is beyond questionable. I contacted the oncologist surgeon who performed my dmx and who works with this surgeon and I explained that I did not trust his surgical skills, his care, and stated how disappointed I had been from day one with what I thought were going was going to breast of some degree. She basically took over my "care" and after five CT guided aspirations, ( the radiation exposure each time, as well as all the stress) I had the radiologist and members of radiology, who were all very kind, tell me that they were sorry for what I was having to deal with and that they were going to write in my report that I needed to have surgical intervention, they were going to refuse to do any more aspirations. I had to have explantation by a surgeon my oncologist suggested and when he removed my implants, basically by emergency through the ER, when he made the first cut under my left breast where the seroma/now hematoma developed, blood actually gushed out. Please....for your well being, ask to see pictures of your plastic surgeons work! Don't settle for the doctor that your oncologist works with. It is far too important of a decision, choose wisely. Pictures paint a thousand words! Look at their work, feel at ease in your choice and please, take your time! This is your body. Go to multiple plastic surgeon consultations that specialize in reconstruction. Ask any and all questions. Write them down. You deserve the best outcome that is available and that begins with both the right surgery choice and your choice of a plastic surgeon. I lost my breast not once, but twice. To anyone on this journey, I wish you many blessings and an outcome that leaves you happy and at peace.

DO NOT GO HERE. Probably one of the worst dermatology places I have ever been to. There have been a…read moremyriad of red flags since I have started there, one starting with me being prescribed an acne medication which resulted in multiple bad reactions from me, to then calling and leaving a voicemail how it wasn't helping me (you know since they never answer their phone or are open long enough to get ahold of them) and them just prescribing me a new one without calling me or notifying me any way. I found out when I picked up my prescriptions and literally looked at it confused as I didn't know what it was. That's when I called and talked to this snippy nurse who said "so you didn't get a call on October 3rd at blah blah blah?" I clearly did not as that's why I was calling and simply wanted to know what this was and what the side effects were. So red flag one was that. Second red flag was my birth control not being sent in to the pharmacy for about the 3rd time, resulting in me missing many days and messing up my cycle, hormones, and overall period. I called in March of 2026 asking why it wasn't refilled, and that's when I was notified my Dr, Dr. Rupert left the practice and that I essentially had to find a new dr in order for it to be prescribed. Now, anyone with common sense would say, "that's not fair". I was never told she was leaving, and when I called they said they sent out letters about this. Never once received a letter and I had to be the one to find this out Instead of being professionally and properly informed like a dr's office should. Again, talked to a snippy nurse (everyone except the receptionist are angry elves I suppose) where she said I would have to find a new dr in order to get this. Frustrated and angry I reached out to my NP for it, but then went and go OTC ones at target. THEN, they suddenly started getting prescribed again? So, why was I told they were not able to if they then randomly started them again? Now, my last red flag was from today. That one random medication I was prescribed in October that I mentioned earlier was Spirolactone. I recently ran out this past week and went onto my CVS app to see why, and it said it was due to Dr. Rupert leaving. So, all this week I try calling them and again, they were somehow always not there or on their lunch break or closed already at 4:30. I'm trying to balance this as a 24 year old woman who works full time as well as is a full time student. I finally get ahold of them and talk to one of the rudest, cold nurses I have ever spoken to, the lovely Nurse Lisa I explain the spirolactone problem to her and instead of speaking to me with humility and compassion, automatically plays the blame game and says it's due to me not scheduling a follow up the last time I came and that I was informed of this in March. First of all, in March, I AM the one who called about my birth control not being filled, not them contacting me. And that's when I was informed if I want it prescribed again I need to find a new dr and see them. I won't lie, I was frustrated and more snippy because her tone automatically set me off of that this was my fault and she didn't care to listen nor help me. So she starts the blame game and I tell her that that was for the BC and if you guys only prescribe things for after a year, why has it almost been a year and a half and you're still doing it and then suddenly stop and one, not give me any warning, and two this is MONTHS after Dr. Rupert left. I listened when they said I needed to see a new dr for the birth control and have now switched to my NP, but for this spirolactone, I was still getting it from them. I have been off of it for about 5 days now and when you stop a medication like that, you clearly have side effects like getting dizzy, which I was getting. So I am trying to explain this all to the warm and fuzzy Dr. Lisa, you has straight attitude towards me, isn't letting me speak and cuts me off and tells me to not Interrupt her. I say are you kidding me, first of all do not tell me what to do, And she starts laughing and says I'm hanging up on you now. I tell her I'm calling HR or whoever on you and she laughs again and says this is your fault and hangs up on me. So I call again and am transferred to their office manager Rachelle who I of course had to leave a message for and now I'm here complaining. This surgical place has always has so many freaking problems with one even answering you, two getting you in, and three just being straight up rude (the receptionist Molly was a sweetheart though). I am clearly THEIR patient who is upset, experiencing scary symptoms from them not refilling my meds, and instead of Nurse Lisa coming in with humility, compassion, and overall customer service and ready to listen to a clearly frustrated patient in distress, she turned into a Karen (who is shocked with a name like Lisa who is a nurse, always the mean girls) who didn't listen and demonstrated horrible skills as a nurse.

When it was finally time for me to see the doctor, he told me that he wouldn't be renewing my prescription because I wasn't suffering from cystic acne. Well, no duh. I've been taking this medication for the last couple of years and it has successfully been keeping my cystic acne at bay. I need to have the prescription renewed so that I wouldn't start suffering from cystic acne again. After much back-and-forth, the doctor insisted that I had rosacea and not cystic acne so I did not get my cystic acne prescription renewed. Wouldn't you know when my prescription ran out the cystic acne returned just as I told the doctor that it would.
