Easy to make appointment. Easy to check in. Big lot, nice waiting area. Friendly staff the whole way through. I just had a cold, but wanted to make sure it wasn't more. They checked me out thoroughly and basically recommended water and Mucinex. Which was fine- I'd rather go and have it not be serious. In and out quickly- got taken back right at my appointment time. I love my doctor but I hate this practice. You can never get through on the phone. You are put on hold and after a minute told to leave a voicemail. It may be 48 hours before you hear back. I had, what I thought was a sinus infection. I got a same day appt but was told to call before I entered the building so they could come down and give me a rapid Covid test. Bullshit. Anyway, I called and of course couldn't get through. After 3 attempts I went in the building and got someone to call up there. After 10 minutes they came down, did the test, and was told it would be 15 minutes to get results. It's a freaking sinus infection. I've had them before. I know what they feel like. This practice has gone downhill in the last year. I think they are terribly understaffed and nobody know what they are doing. I love my doctor but I hate this practice. I'm going to start looking for another place. It's a shame because I used to love this place. read more

My doctor's practice joined Central Ohio Primary Care a few years ago. The COPC Medical Center provides a variety of support services for the various doctors groups that are members of COPC. For example, they handle blood tests, cardiac stress tests, echocardiograms, etc. This saves a trip to the hospital or other various testing sites. I like the convenience of being able to get all my testing done at one central location. The appointments I've had there have always on time and the staff (doctors, nurses, technicians) have all been professional and efficient. And very pleasant to work with. read more

The nursing, front desk and billing staff are less than ethical and professional. The billing department will manipulate codes and services to reflect additional costs outside the PCP office when clearly they run their own lab and radiology services. These are not separate fees; it's same day, same office and same staff that performing these services. After review of "my" insurance EOBs COPC balanced billed charges to patient responsibility not reflecting INSURANCE PAYMENTS!!! This is fraudulent and state and federal offense in addition to them submitting that balance to collections without notice!! 80% of medical billing contain errors and I promise you COPC billing is known for errors! In addition to fraudulent billing practices the compliance office is a joke though ,HIPAA and PHI are disclosed without patient consent and happens frequently. Patients have the right to written confirmation of the debt as well as the right to dispute it. That's your right under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. If you know your rights, you're in a better position to stand up for them. Contact the Department of Insurance , the OAG and medical board with your complaint. Don't allow this continuation of underhanded, shady and fraudulent practice to continue. COPC MUST be HELD accountable for their actions read more

I never knew about the same day clinic for Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians until this week. It's for patient's who need services after hours that they cannot do during the day. My husband and I came to get him CT scans to make sure he doesn't have a kidney stone. The CT scan came out good and he didn't end up having it. It was quite a long wait for them though but the nurse on call was very nice for the 3 hours we were there for. Now that I know this place exists I would totally come here when I cannot make it during work hours. The staff are great and they try to get you in and out as soon as possible. I will totally consider this place in the future. read more

The physicians are good but the office experience is horrible. Nurses often send Rxs to the wrong pharmacy. I paid a bill only to have it refunded to me. Then I got a letter threatening collection. All because they claim to have changed billing systems. There are many good providers in Columbus with better offices. read more

The staff is unorganized and patient appointments are only 15 min. You have to sign forms that say you won't bring up any other topics except what you are specifically being seen for to fit your 15 min window. The Dr is good but the office staff are not friendly. And if you are 2-5 min late they won't see you due to the very short appointment times. Also have had issues where an appointment was made by the office to do labs, came in for the appointment but no lab order was put in by the Dr so had to reschedule. Dr said it was an error made by the staff and Dr. had no control over it. Dr even commented multiple times on the incompetent staff and apologized on their behalf. Bad patient experience on multiple occasions with scheduling and nurses. read more

These people are an absolute nightmare. I have never encountered more incompetence in my entire life: the receptionists are rude, the billing department is prehistoric (if not an outright scam), and the miscommunication is rampant. Story: I started seeing my doctor to get hep with anxiety. I was fairly new to this type of medication so I didn't know what to expect; the first medication I was put on apparently had a side-effect that nuked my memory and recall abilities. This was never communicated to me, and in the end that specific medication didn't work well to begin with (thank god). Only after I dropped the medication was I told about the memory issues by someone that took the same thing. Eventually I worked through those problems, and found my way out of anxiety medication for the better. When COVID-19 hit I was behind on payments and had to stop my monthly appointments. They did not approve of this and would hound me to make appointments (without my employers insurance that meant these appointments would be 100$ each. Mind you this was a 5-10 minutes face-time appointment where almost nothing was discussed). I was balancing on around 400$ of backed up payments and decided to sign up with a payment plan. I have a recording of this phone call where I gave away sensitive information including my credit card to these guys and was told I couldn't make my payments on the 1st and was told to pay on the 5th. I said okay, and then waited for the payment. Nothing went through without my knowledge, and nothing was communicated (exactly opposite to what my first call assured me would not happen: "We will call you or email you if your payment isn't received" is the statement I was given). I was then ejected from the plan with a final notice mail I recieved on the 23rd. When I called to get this sorted out, I was told "you must pay in full or we refer you to a collection agency there are no other options" Please find a new practice, and do not engage with these people for your healthcare read more

I have been going to one of the doctors with COPC for 20+ years and they were great. However, they moved and this was my first visit in the new facility. First of all the address on the website is incorrect. When I arrived at the office I was told it was the wrong building (this is after driving around to get a parking spot) and was directed to another bldg. After driving to this building, parking and getting an elevator (all of this took some time) I was told the doctor would not see me and I needed to reschedule. I explained to the woman at the front why I was delayed for 10 mins and she rudely told me I could not be seen. If this wasn't bad enough, I got a voice mail on my cell the next day telling me that I was a "no show" and would get billed if I did not show up "again"! I was shocked they would employ anyone like this who would be rude to a patient. Stay away from this place if you can. I am happy with my primary care doctor at COPC - but this is not an acceptable to treat a patient. They need to hire better! I was told by some of the original staff that many people from the former facility are leaving - as they too are not happy. read more

The doctors and nurses are great but the billing department is a nightmare. -You can't pay your bill in the office unless you remember to bring your bill with you, the staff says they have no way to access the information as to what is owed (????) - When you call to make a payment the estimated wait times are usually 20 minutes or longer -You can pay online but there are no links or information about setting up an online account - Since those instructions are not online there is no way to get around having to accept the 20 minute hold time to pay your bill This is an amazingly outdated and non-user friendly set up for 2020 read more

Absolutely horrible! Dr. James Natalie does not return phone calls and has had my report and MRI disc for a week and no call to say that yes my hip is fractured or no it is not. Apparently since it is not his hip, he could not give a sh*t! I will never ever go back to COPC Sports Spine and Joint - EVER! They are terrible and clearly do not care at all about you so do not waste your time or money. The only shining star is Dee at the front desk who gave me my MRI disc back so that I can take it to Orthopedic One, which is where I should have gone in the first place. I personally took the disc to the office on the day that I got the MRI and called every single day to see if anyone has read my disc or report and the only call I got was from Dr. Natalie's PA or nurse who said 'he has not read it yet, be patient." It is easy for someone to say "be patient" when they are not in pain - but again, they are not in pain so they could not care less if you as the patient are in pain. THEY SUCK and are horrible Drs! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! read more

The billing department is ran by a bunch of circus monkeys! I literally found a different doctor because of their complete in competence and ignorance! I had a bill they messed up on and instead of just calling me, they sent me to collections. I clearly explained the situation and requested this to be fixed so I could pay the bill and be done and they messed up 2 more times after this! Yes! 2 more times I was contacted and I double checked each time to see if they had the right phone number which they did and they are either dumber than a box of rocks or too incompetent to know how to make a phone call to a customer. I have been going to the COPC office in Canal Winchester for years and love my doctor, Dr. Makadia. I love the office staff and everyone there, they have been incredibly nice, polite and understanding. I love I can logon to COPC website and access my health information as well as look at upcoming appointments, send emails to my doctor, see my referrals etc, it's a fabulous tool. I have also taken the Quit Smoking class offered by COPC. It was a great class and I actually went twice, the instructor is very professional and easy going, she knows the course that is provided. I found it extremely helpful, it's rare to find anything for smoking cessation that doesn't cost an arm and a leg, The COPC class is free and lasts 6 weeks I believe. The only reason I gave a 4 instead of a 5 is because in December of 2022 my Pain Specialist closed there office, I had to ask my doctor for pain medication until I could get a new pain specialist . He said he could only write one prescription and I was on multiple pain medications so I had to go thru withdrawels because he wouldn't prescribe one of the medications I had been on for years. Unfortunately the letter I was sent from my pain specialist didn't say they were closing the office, just that three doctors were leaving the practice. So I didn't know they were actually closing till I called to make an appointment. I still love Dr. Makadia just don't like some of the COPC policies. read more

As I write this review, I'm smiling! Jessica Manly actually listens! She is the most caring and compassionate medical PROFESSIONAL that I've ever met. She has always addressed my concerns AND I leave the office still feeling macho! Jessica is responsive and she seems to really enjoy what she does. I've referred my wife and daughter. I called to schedule an appointment and they proceeded to tell me I am not allowed back there again, because they claimed I missed an appointment with another doctor (my primary left). I see nurse practitioner Beth Grudell at the Polaris Parkway Office. She is amazing! There is never a long wait. Beth listens to what you say and works with you in addressing the issue. Was switched without my consent to a new doctor after my primary left and then charged for a missed appointment with the new doctor. Tried working it out with their main billing and then the branch office manager herself. After being told the doctor would not waive the fee and that there was nothing she would do, she hung up on me. Paid the fee just so I never have to deal with them again. read more

If I could give not only this practice but the entire copc network less than 1 star i would. We were established at Cap City medical group as a patient and they were scheduling appointments and ordering tests that were not needed. We got hit with lab bills and missed appointment charges and they put a note on the account saying we could not schedule any where else in the network. There are over 50 offices in this Network in Columbus so we are basically blacklisted. I asked the office manager what she would do and her recommendation was to go elsewhere. The billing dept told us to pay off the balance and he would be cleared to make any appointment he needed. NOT TRUE AT ALL. This physician group is like a cult and would rather deny medical care for their patients over a $4 bill. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and the worst people to work with. If you do schedule with them be prepared for unnecessary charges and physicians that deny care for their patients. But hey- if that's what you want then this practice is for you. Good luck. read more
