Very nice, new, and excellent staff…read more This place is very nice! The staff was very kind and knowledgeable during our stay. This place is very new and located away from the city so its not overrun. It was nice to be able to walk in and get immediate attention. The rooms that they put you in were large and private. We never felt like we were on display or rushed as we have been at other ER's. Thanks for all the great work, compassionate staff and excellent facility.

If there were a zero rating that is what I would give Lewis center Mt. Carmel. Let me just start by…read moresaying that I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy with 20+ years of experience in acute care, outpatient, skilled nursing, and home health environments, including teaching and leadership roles. From the moment I entered the ER, I was treated inhumanely. Dustin, the RN, did not introduce himself or explain his role in my care. Instead, he told me, "Do not get comfortable, and take off your sweater." He did not ask how I was doing or what happened with any sense of empathy or concern. He failed to acknowledge my 81-year-old mother, who was there to support me after a horrific car accident. I had just spent the previous night with my 8-year-old at Nationwide Children's Hospital due to her extensive injuries and emotional trauma from the crash. When I asked him his name and role, and mentioned that he should have introduced himself, he told me to "let me do my job!" I was mortified. I chose to go to this ED because it was immediately open for help. Now I know why! I should have gone to my regular hospital--any OhioHealth facility! Dustin continued to be negligent in his care and attention throughout my visit. He never offered any pain control, comfort measures, water, or even a blanket for the freezing room. While I did not want any medication, he absolutely should have offered all of the above and more. There is just so much to say about what Dustin did wrong and what he failed to do entirely. Then, Dr. Olsen came in and performed a minimal exam. When I requested a concussion exam, he claimed he did a neurological exam simply by asking if I had passed out and noting that I was speaking okay. This is NOT a concussion exam. I called my primary physician immediately to request a real exam. When I showed Dr. Olsen the evidence-based exam protocol, he continued to minimize my concerns. This was after a major car accident where the only reason an ambulance did not take me the previous night was because I needed to stay with my 8-year-old daughter. I have heard how "bad" Mt. Carmel is as an institution. Somehow, I thought it had connections to OhioHealth and might share some of their quality hiring and training standards. Definitely not! I will NEVER be a patient of Mt. Carmel again, and I will shout to the world to never be subjected to such poor treatment and negligence. I feel I need extra care after going to the Lewis Center ED. Dr. MM, PT

I like that this was focused on children and was surprised at how easy everything was. We got checked in right away, just had to show Id and insurance and then we only had to wait a few minutes before being seen. They gave her ibuprofen and an ice pack right away and were super awesome with her. I'm glad we have this option so close!

I was informed they needed to do their own X-Ray, we're rude about it, insisted she only had a, "mild sprain," gave her a useless brace for a sprain. Treated her rudely, asking her why she was crying (not sobbing, just in pain). Telling her to, "quit limping," and she was fine, no restrictions, could participate in gym class & double header soccer tournament next day. Morons. I called pediatrician's office next morning, was told UC can see their X-Ray, did not need to do their own, only wanted more money, & I was to call COPC Sports Medicine right away. Doctor said she needed to be seen same day, fitted in walking boot for 6 weeks, due to a "grade 3 lateral ligament tear." Great job, Children's UC on not only being rude, but also not knowing what you're talking about. If it's not you're specialty, which it wasn't, it's okay to say, "I don't know, let me refer you to someone who does, an actual specialist." I will never go there again!

This review, however, will focus on their mammography services. It is very easy to schedule appointments online. Abundance of parking & clearly marked signage to direct you to your desired location. Friendly & informative staff stationed at the front desk to check you in & direct you appropriately. Clean, modern faciltity. Year after year they are very consistent with their timeliness. Once checked-in you are directed to seat in the lobby until called by the office personnel to review pertinent information. The transition to the changing & procedure room is very clear. The waiting area is almost spa like which is lovely for such a process. The mammogram techs are very thorough & explain each step of the process. The results are made available to you in MyChart usually the next day.

As a patient I'm already stressed and I have several health issues and to be inconvenienced does not allow for me to be a "happy" patient. If I do everything in my power to be responsible and show up on time. I do have the right to expect quality service. To boot when I brought my husband for an ER visit and they kicked me out of the room when I'm his wife. They did not ask nicely! I'm stressed because I had to bring my husband in for heart issues it only takes a moment to be kind. So I scheduled my yearly mammo. I get a lovely text telling me the where and when etc. I arrive 15 minutes as requested. The text I received said to go to suite 230! So I go up there the offices are closed and there isn't anyone at a desk or anything. So I have to come back downstairs and ask where to go. I asked nicely but got some pushback.
