I had one more lab test to do and now I'm waiting to hear the results. Hopefully I will learn what's going on with my body. In a week or so there are more tests to do but I don't mind if it helps me feel better! I have recently moved away from Zanesville and after a year of not coming in for a visit, they called and left me a friendly message reminding me to come in for an annual check-up, just to secure my spot as their patient. I was living in Chicago at the time and unfortunately had to say my goodbye. Over the years I have become extremely thankful for every person that works in the office, not just Dr. Dunmeyer. I appreciated their trust in knowing me as their patient. The fact that they know and understand my needs and health issues, and always keep them in mind, means the world to me. It made things convenient and actually going to the doctor enjoyable. While I may not be visiting this office anymore, I know my family is. I missed the call from my awesomely concerned family doctor who had already reviewed my ER records despite the fact that it was a holiday and she was supposed to be relaxing. She wanted to have me come in for a follow-up exam. Since I didn't recognize the number and my voicemail box was jammed full, I didn't know I was supposed to go in. But on Thanksgiving, in the evening, when I relapsed into that toxic pain and shaking, my family called Dr. Rentel. She was there, and she had advice. She got me through the night and saw me first thing Monday. This is the most compassionate doctor. I love her to pieces. She has her patients' best interest in mind. She really cares about your health. And she's funny and easy to talk to. I have high praise for Dr. Rentel. If you're looking for a new family doctor, definitely try to get in with her. It will be tough. Since she's so amazing, she's always booked full. But if you happen to call the office when they're taking new patients, you musn't undervalue the opportunity. Jump on it! They sent me away with anxiety meds. Needless to say, I didn't take them and went to see Dr. Rentel the following Monday. By chance, I was assigned to her when I was a student at OSU in the student health department. She asked me if I had allergies, to which I replied NO. She took a good look at me and said, "Yes you do." She gave me oral steroids and within 24 hours my breathing issues were totally resolved. Turns out, I have a severe grass pollen allergy that developed as an adult and procudes asthma. I'm now taking allergy shots to help build a tolerance to my allergies and symptoms. I wasn't crazy afterall!

I just had double incisional hernia repaired Friday at KCH. I had cancer removed at another…read morehospital in 2014. They did nothing wrong that's just how my skin is. I came to Dr holzer who specializes in surgery and she said yes I can repair it. The entire ambulatory surgical team was amazing They even call you afterwards to make sure you are okay. Jane was my anesthesiologist She made me feel at ease pleasant bedside manner goes over everything with you I felt safe in her hands. Jauhni walked me back into the surgery waiting room and was fun to talk to. I'm sorry I don't remember the rest of the nurse's name that helped me before and after my surgery. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly and patient. I want to add they have a new neurologist my husband seen for the first time last week We are very pleased with him trying to figure out my husband's tinnitus! Dr Trevor Moravec. We have our PCP here, My son's PCP is here, I have had surgery by Dr helming in orthopedics, My husband sees Dr Goodman for his endocrinology Larry is awesome in that office as is Dr Anderson for my son. And then in ophthalmology is another doctor Holzer (the husband to the surgeon I just had on Friday) for all of our eye health. Their therapy rehab center is amazing too Dr Amy murnen, Dr Thurman are excellent providers. Dr Hetrick sees my entire family for our ENT needs. He's the one that noticed I had a stroke sometime in my past it showed up on one of my CT scans of my sinuses. I had no clue I had no lasting effects.
