This train station is located in Kensington area of Berlin, CT. It is owned by ConnDOT and is part of the New Haven-Springfield line. There are two tracks and two platforms; the parking lot was big and can fit approximately 200 vehicles. I saw two electric vehicle charging stations. The station is served by Amtrak, Hartford Line, and Valley Flyer.
This new station opened around 2018. It's a beautiful building with an elevator and stairs to a pedestrian bridge. I liked that they had signs regarding the history of the station. It's handicap accessible. There were many benches and even a little free library. There were ticket machines, television screens showing the train schedule, and periodic announcements. Overall, it's nice train station and it was very quiet on the Saturday afternoon we were there. read more
