Wow! I finally found a great dentist office. The front desk was very kind and helpful. They were able to answer all my questions before my appointment. I haven't been to the dentist in years, I know, I should be going twice a year. Now, I am usually very nervous and have anxiety about going to the dentist. After filling out the paper work, I had my teeth cleaned. The hygienist was super nice and my teeth feel great. Next, Dr. Daniel Mingrone came and took a look at my x-rays and teeth. He was very thorough and explained everything. Again, I ask a lot of questions and he took the time to answer them all. I have been experiencing some pain on one of my teeth and wanted to get it checked out. He showed me exactly on the x-rays where I have two cavities (I have to floss more...) and even took photos. We discussed my treatment including the teeth that needed work and ones that we were going to "watch". Having a very limited budget (student loans...), we decided to fix the two teeth that needed the most immediate attention first and keep an eye on the others. Dr. Mingrone and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, plus the view of the Berkeley hills are nice. I will recommend this office to my friends and family. read more

Happy with dentist! I went to Berkeley dental center the other day to get a second opinion on treatment that another dentist told me I had to get done. I am glad that I came here before going through with hundreds of dollars worth of dental work. The previous dentist told me I needed 3 fillings done. I saw Dr. Mingrone for my exam after x-rays were taken. He performed a very thorough exam including taking photographs of my teeth so I could see them on the computer screen. Dr. Mingrone said that I had NO cavities that needed to be filled! He showed me on the photos that I had some staining on my teeth but no decay/cavities or anything that was "sticky".  Thank you Dr. Mingrone for your honest opinion and saving me $. Also the assistants and staff were wonderful. The assistant(Malek, I think) was very comforting and helpful. The x-rays didn't hurt at all! One thing to note: try parking on the street, as the garage charges for parking. Come to this office if you want to be treated right! read more

Unfamiliar with the area, I first arrived at Berkeley Dental Center with a broken crown, aware that I needed additional work following an extended illness. My first impression was shaped by Eva at the front desk. She and the other office staff are warm and knowledgeable. Once the crown was addressed, I was given a thorough plan of care that included necessary work and associated costs. The insurance offered through the practice is better than my personal policy. My schedule this year has been challenging but they have worked with me. I'm currently seeing Dr. Frederickson and appreciate both his skill and demeanor. While I never imagined that I would write a dental review of any kind, I am pleased to offer a good one. NOTE: The parking deck opens directly into the lobby of the professional building but I frequently find parking on the street. read more

Dr. Fredrickson is the absolute best! He is kind, knowledgable, has a good sense of humor, is extremely thorough, and takes his time when it comes to giving you a comprehensive exam. He's up to date on the dental world, and I trust him implicitly. May, the lovely, kind, dental hygienist, provides an extremely thorough cleaning and always gives you tips and tricks for cleaning and preventative care. The office admins are kind and easy to work with. Once I had to miss an appointment due to traffic and they graciously let me reschedule. The email + text reminders are a great help with a busy schedule as well. Bonus: The office has a gorgeous view of the Berkeley Hills. It is so pretty to look during your appointment. I highly recommend Berkeley Dental Center, and I am looking forward to my next appointment! read more

If only I could give 10 stars! The best dental experience I've had thus far. Dr. William Tennant,and all his great team from reception,assistants and the hygienists are wonderfully professional, timely, and personable. I had teeth cleaning and couple of x-rays ,and I really very happy that now I have very healthy gums and I can smile confidently!! This office is not only always on-time with appointments, but is also completely digital. Also, staff is extremely knowledgeable and explained, in layman's terms, what is going on with your teeth. They answer all of your questions fully and clearly. All in all I would definitely recommend this clinic. With that said check out brighter day dental . I have been coming here for years! Dr. Tennant was the best dentist ever! Cannot be replaced! When he retired I thought I'd look elsewhere! But came back one day for an urgent appt. Eva at the window smiling and happy as always and accommodating, she's always understands my problem before I even make the appt and knows my insurance better than I do! Lupe is so nice and friendly and has always taken care of me she's the best assistant ever! Then I meet the new doctor.... Dr Fredrickson, he was really nice and took care of my problem! I went to Berkeley Dental Center on Regent St. in Berkeley for a teeth cleaning, exam, and x-rays. Everyone there was very nice. And I felt relaxed during my visit. Dr. Mark Simkins was very pleasant and spent some time talking with me. I told him that I had joint pain likely due to clenching my teeth and he suggested getting a mouth gear. My dental insurance did not paid for it, however, Dr. Simkin's told me about a special (free of charge) they were having where I can get a mouth gear made for whitening teeth and use it to help me not clench or grind my teeth at night. That was very nice of him! The mouth gear was available two days after. read more

I've been coming here for decades and give Berkeley Dental Center my highest recommendation. My (now adult) kids grew up with Dr. Tennant and, over the years, he had a strong commitment to bringing in other excellent dentists to maintain both the high quality of the practice and their friendly, personal service. He cares so much about his patients, I'm sure this will continue. Adrian is absolutely the BEST hygienist I ever had, and I actually look forward to my visits with her. The office staff is also friendly and efficient. Some have worked here for as long as I've been coming which I think speaks well for them as a workplace. read more

The staff are incredibly courteous and professional! I came in here for an emergency treatment and Dr. Frederickson was able to see me at a moment's notice and perform a root canal. Berkeley Dental Center has always been absolutely amazing! I'm currently away at school and make it a point to check in with them whenever I'm home. My hygienist, Tenneal, was just as sweet as can be and made a tough cleaning very easy and comfortable. I promised her I'd floss more. Dr. Fredrickson was amazing also and very friendly. I've been coming to Berkeley Dental for at least 2 years and I always have a good experience. I went there today to get two wisdom teeth extracted. I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia. I was so scared but I was in good hands. The staff took good care of me. They were very attentive and concerned. The doctors assistant offered to let me use his iPhone and headphones to play music to help me calm down and relax.Everyone is so nice and professional.I definitely recommend this dental office to anyone looking for great quality dental care. read more

These guys are the best! I love coming to the dentist because they are all so nice and professional. I also like that they are pretty conservative in their approach no hard sell for extra treatments. My family has seen all the hygienists all they are all good! We particularly like Tenielle and Adrienne and have been visiting them for years. I have been going to Berkeley Dental Center for more than 30 years. Dr. Tenant is amazing. The office provides the highest quality care with the newest technology. Dr. Frederickson -- a new addition to the team of dentists -- is great. He recently took care of a tooth that had a cavity and needed a crown. Throughout, he was friendly, gentle and exacting. Had to schedule an emergency appointment and they were very welcoming in seeing me right away. The appointment went smoothly, did an emergency root canal and everything went great. Have been coming back ever since for regular app and cleaning. I'm also planning on doing an Invisalign treatment with them. Overall I'm very pleased with the treatment, the staff, and the doctors.
