It is visible from Bergen Place and the main stroll of the market. The park also has a few benches, nice for resting one's feet or legs if out walking around for a longer chunk of time. Grounds were cleanly on my visit. I chose to eat pizza from the market (Vespucci Pizza - Mario slice) at the table under the bell in the bell tower and was pleasantly surprised that the bell tower itself contributed a feel of seclusion to my dining experience even while being easily visible by people passing by and other diners in the garden. While I was exploring on foot later in the day, I heard the bell chime from a few streets away.

The Park, or Garden has it's name from a local who lived in the area named Marvin Sjoberg and the plants that are placed there. I'm even sure if Marvin was a gardener or had a special sentiment for plants. Another reviewer makes mention that he was the Mayor, but I can't confirm that in my digging. We do know the area is historical. The garden is more like a concrete patio surrounded by various plants with their own plaques on some. There are benches and steps to sit on as it's primarily used for presently during town events. The #1 of which is the weekly Famer's Market. The Centennial bell which has the steps is in the garden, but am unsure if it rings these days. It seems to be a site reminder of where City Hall used to be as part of Historic Ballard. There are information plaques around which give some tidbits of history about what was and what is there. Again like most historical sites and parks like this, it is just another places of respite or meeting in the lively town.

It's quite sensational considering the area is most definitely suburban, adjacent to urban. I saw Frink Park on the map, next to Leschi Park, which is along Lake WA Blvd, where we were walking along in the Madrona area. We decided to additionally cover these two parks in the same day. Leschi Park drew me in with two big rose hedges and a sequoia. Frink Park kept me going with its many green paths. There aren't any signs to suggest walking paths, so we relied on Google maps which had dotted lines to show where the trails are. Luckily, cell signal was plenty strong within the park. A couple of driving paths cut across the park; otherwise, it's a forest vibe. I suspect we'll return to explore more of the trails.
