Good food, good price. The teriyaki chicken has always been consistently good over the years.

Well my Wife and I have been eating here for the past 12 years seem a few years ago they sold to another now the in the last year seems the teriyaki flavor has changed and we are not a fab anymore time to go back to our old place even if it means a farther drive its worth the gas. read more

The teriyaki chicken is delicious. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. I recommit for takeout, because the restaurant is a little rundown. read more

The katsu teriyaki bento is really good. The atmosphere is surprisingly nice on the inside, and the owners are friendly. read more

The owner of the restauranter are so nice and welcoming. The food is pretty good, can't really go wrong with teriyaki. It's super close to campus so it's a nice getaway from all the school food. The wait can be quite long at times, but I think it's worth the wait :) read more

This is a great place when you need a Teriyaki fix. I made fairly regular trips here when I lived close by and would usually order the "daily special" (essentially a bento box packed with teriyaki, tempura, gyoza, rice, California roll, salad) as it's a great deal. It's a tiny little restaurant that's been pasted over with photos of Japanese fair; what it's lacking in ambiance, it makes up in character. The food is pretty okay, nothing spectacular, but it'll satisfy a Teriyaki craving. The service, however, is great; everyone who works at Bento is super nice. Worth a visit. read more

My friend and I went here last week and had a terrible experience. We drive by here all the time but had not tried it due to the other great teriyaki food near by and the run down building it is in. The reviews on Yelp were so great that we decided to give it a chance and see if it lived up to the positive reviews. We arrived on Friday and were happy to see that the inside was a little better than the outside, and there seemed to be a good amount of people there. We ordered our food around 7:20pm and sat down at a booth (which we had to clear our selves since all 3 of the open booths were not cleaned off from the last people). We sat and waited, and waited. We watched multiple people walk in after us, other their food to go, sit down and wait, and receive their food and leave. Multiple people. After 50 minutes of waiting I walked up and asked the woman at the register about my food, she then remembered what I had ordered and ran into the back. A few minutes later I asked her if it was close to being done or if I still had a long wait and she said it was almost ready. About five minutes later (a total of an hour waiting, no exaggeration) our food arrived. I had a bento box, it looked fine, pretty typical. My friend had the honey garlic chicken and it was covered in garlic. An insane amount of garlic and the garlic did not look or taste cooked at all. And to top it off his rice was hard and was the hard kind that is at the bottom of the rice cooker. We then went up to the register and got our money back. We were never told there would be a long wait or even apologized to for the one hour wait. Needless to say we will not be back. read more

Got Bim Bim Bap, miso soup and shrimp tempura roll to go. I was impressed with the Bim Bim Bap. All of the ingredients were delicious (marinated beef, carrots, pickled daikon, cooked zucchini, sunny side egg) and even better mixed together. Their gojuchang sauce is on point. Nice little hum. Miso soup was good. Tempura roll was okay. A little heavy on the teriyaki sauce for my liking. The place isn't pretty to look at but I will go back for the Bim Bim Bap and to try their yaki soba, udon and galbi. read more

This is one of my favorite Teriyaki plraces in Tacoma. They have a White Meat Chicken Dish (#3) which never ceases to amaze me taste and quality wise. As has been mentioned before, the people ho run this place are very nice and remember regulars! Only reason I didn't give a full on 5 stars is because of the lack of seating. However, takeout orders are always ready quickly, especially if you call ahead! read more

Note this place under "most unassuming." I drove by it for months thinking no way, but tried it on a whim and it is delicious! I am a sucker for your typical teriyaki chicken, and this place has yet to disappoint. Their chicken is tender and I have never ran into any extra fats or other any unpleasant pieces that often come with meat dishes. And the price is on point. I highly recommend. read more

I went here for the first time to get a quick lunch during my break. At first sight I was a little iffy, because the inside was a bit dirty. But I brushed this off as many older restaurants look this way but serve amazing food. I ordered two sushi rolls. The shrimp tempura roll was actually pretty good, so I thought it was worth while. However my spicy tuna was terrible, and I'm in no way picky about my sushi, I will eat the pre made stuff at Safeway. So for a roll to actually be bad enough that I contemplated not eating it is pretty bad. And THEN I found a hair in the spicy tuna. I couldn't go any further after that. It was short so I'm grateful I happened to look down before I took another bite. I'm never eating here again, even though the lady was nice. Honestly don't think this place is meeting health code..... read more

This place doesn't get busy enough to constantly have fresh sushi. I ordered pork teriyaki and spicy tuna roll. Teriyaki was swimming in sauce...it was just okay. The spicy tuna roll...first bite and I can tell the fish was not fresh. Scary. Maybe they should just stick with teriyaki swimming in sweet sauce. I am giving them two stars for service. read more

This place is okay, I'm giving it a 2 stars because when I order chicken teriyaki it was warm and not hot . Made to order food should be fresh and hot. I felt maybe it's been sitting in the warmer. Also my food came out pretty quickly less than 5 minutes. The sushi looks good maybe I'll like the sushi better. read more

Generous portions and delicious food. Pleasant atmosphere and accommodating people. What else do you need?

This place is underrated. I never tried it before recently because it looks scary on the outside, but the teriyaki lunch special is delicious and cheap. We're regulars now. read more

Whenever I'm craving bibimbap during my quick lunch break, I come here. It's a decent place to get teriyaki. I would say it's mostly consistent in quality, but I think there have been a few times the food could have been better. I wish they served more meat with the bibimbap but it's still good and pretty fair for the price. I usually don't like to dine in because it's usually cold in the restaurant. read more

Order the chicken teriyaki for $8.99. It's super bomb and delicious. The bibimbap was delicious as well. The chicken fried rice was....meh, a little greasy. Overall really good food. read more

I always go here when I want sushi but I don't want to pay a lot. The sushi is on the simpler side, but it's tasty. I've gotten some other stuff here like teriyaki and tempura. Everything I've gotten has been good. The service is OK. I have never had a problem but I can't remember them being super friendly either. read more

The portion sizes here are incredible! I had the chicken yakisoba and had trouble finishing my delicious, sweet mound of noodles. My friend partook of a bento box which had similarly ginormous portions. The California roll was excellent, as was the sauce laden chicken. Only the miso soup was considered average. Not bad at all mind you, just average. read more

Cooked fresh! I ordered chicken and beef teriyaki it was great. The beef was tender and clean no gritty taste. No strange feeling after eating. Would give 5 star but didn't like salad dressing need to be on the side. Shared with my honey servicing potion on point. Will be back. I wish I had more business in the area:) Keep up the good work. Will be back!Thank you! read more

I used to be a regular here. Fantastic prices and fantastic food. Well, the prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. I recently ordered avocado rolls and got them with a weird brown slime. It was so gross. The chicken teriyaki used to be way bigger and their to go miso is now a quarter of a cup. Who gives out a quarter of a cup? With the variety in this city, will be going somewhere else. read more

Favorite place to go for anything from a snack to a full dinner. Rolls are well priced and they come with free miso soup. The woman who works the front of the restaurant is also very sweet. Would recommend over Trapper's across the street 100% of the time. read more

Not the best looking place off the curb. But the food is very good. The sushi is always on parr. +1.

Friendly staff, good service, good food and a good price - what more can you ask for. A few little things (CA rolls in Bento Box came without wasabi, had to ask for hot sauce and chopsticks) but nothing at all major. First time here, we will be back - maybe tomorrow! read more

longest wait of my life. i called ahead and still had to wait 35 minutes. there was only 2 tables. not worth it. food good but not that good. never again read more

I ordered the Chicken Breast Teriyaki and the Pork Teriyaki, what I got was good quality meat, not grisly, or fatty, but a little chewy. Everything was covered in a heavy thick sauce that is not like the glaze I am used to. This is my first time trying them. I want to support the smaller local businesses so we do not lose them to the Covid-19 pandemic economic disaster. I will give it one more try before deciding if they have good food. It was a nice surprise to receive a salad with the food. I ordered from Grubhub, so the prices were really high. I would like to try them without paying the expensive prices.I compared the menu prices online, the prices are very reasonable if you order there, but the delivery services say they do not increase the price(just charge their service fee, delivery fee, tip) but it showed they charged over $3.00 more per entree, and $2.00 more on most of the other choices. Bento does offer a good deal on lunches, but I am not into sushi, or rolls. read more

Ordered Chicken Stir-fry and Chicken-breast Teriyaki. Both were freshly make and both were excellent! The teriyaki sauce is fruity and not too sweet, unlike many others locally. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and smells good. A peek into the kitchen showed that it was clean as well. We will be back to explore the menu. read more
