We always come here for any special occasion. But today was Mother's Day so I wanted some steak and shrimp stir fry on the hibachi grill. The comedic show from the chef was really entertaining and the boys of course caught the flying vegetables in their mouths but I passed on that . Prices are on par with other habachi restaurants. We almost always get the steak because it is very good quality and cooked to order. My boys ordered the noodles and I ordered the rice . Both were excellent. Their lunch or dinner combo comes with a miso , mushroom soup that my son always wants another. The traditional Asian inspired salad comes with it as well. The chef seems to really want to please the parties and I like that. The many times we have dined here led us to becoming casual friends at the grill because you sit with 6 to 8 other guests. If you haven't tried hibachi, you really should . This restaurant is clean, comfortable, and the food is great. Prices are a little higher than a regular restaurant but it's so worth it. When I brought my sister here for her birthday all the servers came around and congratulated her. They put a balloon birthday hat on her head. If you need a little smile and you like stir fry custom made to your liking, come here. You will be happy you did.

Extremely overpriced for the amount of food and quality. Ordered two sushi rolls, tempura shrimp…read moreroll and king of the sea roll. We were shocked how small they were. The shrimp tempura roll barely had any masago, I could literally count how many were on each piece (the most was 17 on one of them). Tempura bread crumb should fry up a nice light yellow color and be airy, this was brown and flat like a piece of fried chicken. Overall taste of both rolls was ok, nothing special, but not bad. Sadly Whole Foods shrimp tempura roll tastes better and they give twice as much for the same price.

Eight Square is the only place I can go enjoy spring rolls, Crab rangoons and chicken fingers without it making me sick. It's not all greasy and gross. The chicken fingers are sooo tender they melt in your mouth. The fried rice isn't overly fake flavored. The springs rolls aren't a rolled ball of grease. It's great quality and affordable. Go see Wendy at the bar. She makes a yummy Mai Thai and is always amazingly happy and friendly. Next time I promise to take more pics. The food was just too good, I ate most of it before thinking to capture pics.

Located in a shopping center…read morein the space of a former Japanese Sushi restaurant, the new owners now offer both Chinese and Japanese food. There are many options for Sushi around, and we came for the Chinese food. The dining room is nice enough, and we had a pleasant waitress. We started with the Mai Tai's, as others here commented they were some of the best they have had. While good, we didn't think there was anything extraordinary about these. Nice flavor, potent and adorned with a fresh orchid. Admittedly, we've had many excellent Mai Tais in Hawaii and elsewhere, so.... For appetizers, we tried the egg rolls and pan fried Peking Dumplings. The dumplings were great, clearly made in house and not at all like the commercial dumplings served at many restaurants. The meat filling was flavorful and they were cooked perfectly. We also tried the Egg Rolls, which were OK, not much besides cabbage in the filling however. The winning entree was the Singapore style noodles which had a delicious curry flavor and a generous portion of chicken. We also tried the sizzling delight with beef, scallop and shrimp. Often this type of dish is assembled at the table, but here it is brought from the kitchen fully assembled, but sizzling nontheless. It was tasty, but nothing extraordinary here. We enjoyed dinner enough this first time that we will be back to work our way into the menu a bit deeper.

The crab rangoon dip was excellent. We had drinks that were very tasty and great. The lobster fries were very good (not great) but nice. We had a cottage salad. It was absolutely incredible with lots of low carb/high protein. We had a sushi roll that was just as great. We had to pass on dessert but having tried several in the last two visits, they are a no-brainer. We are giving Surf a 9.8 out of 10 ! Also, note, 3 visits were all similar experiences. Some of the prices are a little high (but all seafood is) BUT the service & flavor are sooo good and consistent, you have to try it.

The Korean BBQ scallops were everyone's favorite, cooked perfectly, and with a wonderful soy miso flavor that did not overwhelm the delicate seafood. The pan seared halibut was perfectly cooked and delicious as well, and went well with the Ken. Wright Cellars Pinot Noir. Finished with the blueberry crisp and chocolate raspberry cake. The blueberry first was so good - Rich deep flavor and one of the best desserts I've ever had - and I've been all over the world during the last 50 years. The raspberry cake was excellent too - a fresh raspberry flavor with hints of vanilla.

My wife and I have close to or more than 1000 dining experiences in our time together. If Cava wasn't the best overall, it was an extremely close second. Our server Dan was awesome from start to finish. On point, Attentive, professional, and exceeded expectations on every level. Cava is a very intimate dining experience with a warm comfortable indoor and outdoor seating option. It is also very practical as a stop before going to the Music Hall, an important date or like us an anniversary. Cava is unlike many of the places we have visited over the years in the food category. Every course was exceptionally prepared, thoroughly thought out and professionally executed with excellent plating. I won't go into detail on every dish but suffice it to say there was enjoyment with every mouthful of every course. I ordered: Espresso Martini An Italian Pinot Grigio (with dinner) We shared the charcuterie plate First course - Mussels Second Course - Italian Meatball dish Third Course - Braised Flank Steak Fourth Course - Torte My wife ordered: A wonderful Rum with blackberry cocktail An Italian Pinot Grigio(with dinner) First Course- Warm Potato Soup Second Course- Stuffed and wrapped dates Third Course- Shrimp with Polenta Fourth Course- Blueberry Cheesecake
