Whenever I want to grab some casual sushi takeout this is my go to place! The fish is fresh and they have great deals! You can get 3 maki rolls for $17 99 (if you go for lunch, it comes with a complimentary miso soup or salad) what a steal! They also have tables and chairs if you want to dine in. We ordered: Complimentary Salad Salmon Mango Roll White Tuna Cucumber Roll Eel Avocado Roll Salmon Avocado Roll

Modern, cute, many tables that look like picnic tables that you can share with other people. They're also charging stations at each table pretty much. The place is clean, and we can have lunch specials. Look at my pictures of the menu. I'm always looking for a bento box place, so I'm really happy to Find this Place. The food is fresh, and it came out quickly.. Asian (Chinese) pop music and it's not obnoxiously loud thank you. I like how it's quiet in here. And it's was just right (the temp). The only thing I didn't like was the edamame was soggy and over cooked but was still good. Ginger sauce dressing was amazing! Fresh and gingery! And a bathroom for customers! Always a nice thing in nyc.

Decent fast casual sushi takeout. Dropped by to pick up 2 orders of the 3 roll combos for takeout late Friday night. Service was quick; space is clean and bright with seating aplenty. For our 3 roll combos we ordered: Philadelphia, salmon avocado, and spicy tuna roll; and Alaskan, philadelphia, eel avocado. Slightly troubled that the Alaskan roll is the exact same as the salmon avocado roll- why list it as separate entities if it's the same thing? All is well, tastes great, just a bit confused.

Came here for a work lunch and the service was quick, the staff were welcoming and nice. The food was good, I got the lunch special - chicken and shrimp tempura rolls.

Got to try the chicken teriyaki lunch special today. Excellent price for $14. - miso soup - delicious - chicken teriyaki - healthy and not too much sauce - brown rice - a little dry, and not much of it, but enough - edamame - fresh and tasty Enjoyed the meal. Very good price, healthy meal with broccoli and chicken, and will be back. Welcome to Murray Hill!

Tried this place again and they never disappoint! Today I got the Flaming Dragon Roll and it was heavenly; I devoured it in about 3 minutes. Fish was really fresh and tasty + perfect blend/mix of flavors with the rest. Service was great too, thought it would be $18-19 but they are doing a soft opening so it ended up being closer to $15. Restaurant is clean and the staff are really sweet, patient, and friendly. Highly recommend!

Flaming Dragon Roll - shrimp tempura inside and eel and another fish wrapped outside.

I know this is a bento place but the sushi roll I ordered was so scrumptious. Folks are super nice too. I can't wait for trying the bento boxes soon!

Really nice, clean, bright, and fast sushi spot, just opened last week. Very friendly staff and a huge addition to the neighborhood. This was a sushi restaurant that closed during covid. The new one is much better!!!! I got three roll combo lunch special.

Bento NYC is an excellent new lunch spot for people who work in the area! The sushi is fresh, prices are very reasonable, and there are 4 tables inside. Recommend!

I like the food here and had a very decent experience my first visit. But after today, I won't be coming back. Tldr; I spent 40 mins waiting here, paid extra for something I didn't order (no refund), and found myself wishing I had gone somewhere else so I didn't get stressed out on my only work break of the day. Today, I ordered a chicken teriyaki special and chicken tempura roll and found my total a little too high ($28 for lunch, I was expecting closer to $22). I asked for a receipt to understand the cost but there was no itemized breakdown, didn't think too much of it as I didn't want to be a bother by asking for a second receipt (in hindsight, I should've). When the food was ready, I was about to walk out when I noticed an attached receipt to the food said "steak teriyaki". When I brought it up and said I ordered the chicken, instead of just correcting the order the cashier woman (who was pleasant before) became frustrated and insisted I said steak and must've ordered the wrong thing. I politely told her I do not eat steak for cultural reasons, so there's no way I would've asked for that. She repeats that I said steak and that she confirmed it when she repeated my order... which I definitely would've corrected if I had heard her say steak. I told her I couldn't eat the order they made and she told me firmly that I would need to pay for a new chicken teriyaki special if I wanted it. After already overcharging me for a steak teriyaki I know I did not order, and couldn't eat. Basically we went back and forth a few more times about me ordering "steak" and I felt pretty gaslit. The restaurant was empty except for me- the situation just felt like a tiring and unnecessary charade when it could've been really easily fixed. I just wanted what I ordered and even if she didn't think I was right, I wasn't about to shell out another $16 for a miscommunication. She went into the back to tell the chefs what happened and they sided with me, agreeing to just give me what I ordered. I had already spent almost 30 mins here by this point. The chef directly brought the revised chicken teriyaki out to me with a sympathetic smile and his warmth made me feel better about the situation that clearly was not my fault. I just wanted to get out of there at this point, so I didn't ask for a refund for being overcharged and the woman who took my order certainly didn't offer. Food was ultimately good, but I value peace from my customer service. Won't be back.

This location is accessible via A train at 42nd Street Port Authority. Upon arriving there was a woman in front of me arguing with the staff persistently haggling the price to be lowered, but to no avail. Woman, no means no! There are other bubble tea businesses within the locale that may appease your needs, but not this particular Gong Cha whom apologized for the inconvenience of the inability to lower the price on the product ordered. As I waited patiently, I took photos of this business' environment. The staff stated the cash register is not working and currently unable to accept either credit or debit cards, but cash only payments. Ergo, I was unable to obtain a sales receipt nor a drink label printed. I wonder if the staff reboot the register or check their internet connection to be offline as the cause of non-functioning O/O/O. [1] Customer service is average. Well... if the staff can lower the price for one customer why not lower it for ALL customers? Surely, why not make my drink order as inclusion for lowering the price, please? Hell no, of course not! The conclusion was ironclad. In the real world, this cannot happen. As I stood on line waiting for this woman to let go and walk away from her argument I had shrunk to my own gnawing thoughts. I took photos of the atmospheric environment. There is a cute signage: "Bubble tea where refreshment meets creativity." The pink metal water bottle is very adorably cute which is something that I would certainly purchase. Peach green tea, medium $7.25 My favorite default topping grass jelly (aka herbal jelly) loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my standard request for $0.75 which was good, but not served chilled. At 30% sugar level request, it was slightly higher in sugar content. Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg would shake his head at me in disbelief with disapproval and disappointment for consuming this excessively sugary drink. The peach green tea was not the cause of the sweetness but a man-made sugar embed measurement error. Nevertheless, this Gong Cha satisfied my bubble tea fix as it is now my addiction - in addition to my other addiction, writing. [1] O/O/O = Out Of Order

Ahh, grass jelly loeng4 fan2 涼粉 is my childhood favorite dessert and summons nostalgia! It is my mission to search for bubble tea businesses that offers grass jelly as a topping for my primary reason to patronize. It was abundant which filled one quarter of my medium sized drink. The grass jelly topping is New York City standard priced at $0.50 at least there is sustainability and a sense of normalcy. I requested regular ice, but the entire ice dispensed disappointedly melted and the drink became room temperate. Heat wave medium $6.00 Passionfruit green tea with grass jelly, 50%, light sugar. The drink alone was good quality. While scanning the electronic menu the drink names appear very comical and not business appropriate as well as this bubble tea business name Ho Ho Te. The sound speakers is boisterously loud blasting music directly at my face by the ordering counter. The cashier associate was 90% inaudible of her customer service questions due to the boisterously loud blasting music as I had to fight loud vs. loud by blurting loudly several times: "WHAT?" Why would a business intentionally place sound speakers in front of a ordering counter station where customers must communicate their food/drink orders? How can customers place their drinks orders with clear specific description/instructions only for the cashier associate to inadvertently obfuscate by misinformation because the message conveyed was utterly misinterpreted? Communication is vital for ordering and order fulfillment accuracy in the food service industry! The cardboard paper straws available are environmentally sustainable friendly for biodegradable and compostable. However, these cardboard straws taste AWFULl!! The drink selection is very limited menu compared with other bubble tea competitors. Disappointedly there is no Jasmine green tea on the menu. There are some food items. Takeout menus are available for grabs. Loyalty card is available which also serve as business card where the back is printed in gold foil. This business is very accessible by MTA NYC Transit at Port Authority 42nd Street's A, C, E trains and buses near the peripheral of Times Square.
