This company brokered by Emerald Van Lines for my move. While the truck arrived within the time frame quoted, a lot of my items were horribly damaged. Several boxes were smashed beyond recognition. Even the boxes marked fragile were damaged, and I lost several family heirloom dishes, which broke my heart. I would never recommend this company for any move. Worst experience of my life. Took 6 weeks, charged double, sent ONE mover (my husband ended up having to help the poor guy!), made us pay in cash last second, broken and lost items. We called every day BEGGING for them to deliver our stuff. We spent hundreds on a mattress, cooking utensils, etc to survive off while we waited well over a month for our belongings. We were told 4-10 days!!!!! SO unbelievable. Management didn't do a single thing to resolve the issue during or after. In terms of cost Our final moving amount was nearly DOUBLE what we were quoted. We were quoted $2,300 and it ended up being $4,000. For our final payment, we were forced to pay in cash although our first two payments were made by credit card no problem. My husband and I don't carry cash on hand, and our delivery came on a Saturday in which banks are closed. My husband drove to an ATM to take out cash which was capped so then I had to take a second trip to my own ATM to take the remaining amount out. I am sure we were asked to pay in cash so that it's not recorded if we tried to go after the company in court. After all of the above, we had ONE delivery man show up. I thought it was a joke, that there was a second car behind with other movers inside. No. They sent one poor mover to deliver our belongings. We had king bedroom sets, camping and sports equipment that are rather large, and 20 large moving bags. To think one person could handle transporting these across an apartment complex is beyond me. We were told that 3-4 movers would be here and it would be a smooth, quick process. Instead it took high anxiety, two trips to an ATM, seven hours, and my husband having to help the mover. I'll repeat that. My husband had to help the mover!!! Note: We still tipped the mover because we felt bad that he works for such a HORRENDOUS company. Finally, our $1,000 bed frame is damaged, and 3 bags of clothing are missing. There are other small items damaged that I don't care as much about. The photo with the clothes hangers are the missing clothes we did not receive. We shipped the exact amount of hangers for the clothes we own. I hope this business goes UNDER. I needed to move for my new job. I reserved a truck with another company. They didn't call or show when they said. They said it would be closer to the weekend before they could get me.(they didn't sound convincing). So I reached back out to Bentley. They had given me a good quote a few weeks back. They honored the same price and showed up next day. Ready, able, and willing. No games, just a great move... im writing this after the move at my new job, happy and no longer stressed. They were efficient, clean, and treated my things with care on packing and reassembling. Very grateful !! read more

I had the honor of moving my mother -in-law from Denver to Florida. To say the least I was 100% nervous with many things up in the air. Buying an over 55 condo to moving to getting her there safely and set up with her car as well. Bentley was recommended by Angi's list. They were very thorough with the inventory and space needed and we elected the full pack option (it was very reasonable). They did what they said Load, protect, deliver, and put back together, with her car too. the crew was very pleasant and careful with her items. The whole thing was very smooth and she was happy most of all! Thanks to all! I promised a good review if all went well, So I hope this 5-star will suffice. First and foremost, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They are illegitimate, deceptive, and criminal. They deceived me and stole my items. Firstly, I did not hire this company. Another company I booked with -- Best Choice Moving Company LLC (another fraudulent business) -- contracted them to complete my move. Nothing went well from the beginning. The mover called me three days before my scheduled pick-up date and in broken English, told me he was at my house. Red Flag #1. When the mover showed up 3 days later, he walked through my place shaking his head saying "too much, too much" in broken English, telling me that my move was going to be double what the company I booked with quoted me. I was desperate because I needed to head out of state the next day, and didn't have another option. I ended up negotiating with a sketchy character named "Sesil," who I later learned is the owner of the company, to decrease the amount of my move. It still ended up being nearly double what I paid. 21 business days passed and no update from the company. I called relentlessly and seemingly pushed them to deliver my items on July 28th (picked up June 26th). I talked to Jennifer at their office who told me twice that the deliver would be in the afternoon/evening on a Friday. I work as an on-call doctor and took off work to sit at my house that afternoon. I called multiple times during the day and heard nothing back. When I finally got Jennifer back on the phone, she said "I had been trying to reach you, the delivery can't happen today, only between 8-9am tomorrow." She had not been trying to reach me, and stated that the 1 hour window tomorrow was the only option they would offer for delivery without paying a re-delivery fee. I said I worked in the morning at the hospital and could not take off work this late notice. She said there was nothing that could be done. I asked to speak to her supervisor and talked to Sesil. He could not have seemed less concerned that his company's tardiness was creating a huge inconvenience in my life, despite them breaking our contract and being late with the delivery. He was unwilling to budge on the delivery time or fact that I needed to pay the re-delivery fee. I ended up asking a friend to take off work to meet the movers the following morning, as I had no other option. The morning of the delivery came and the mover was 1 hour late. No update call, no notice. I had to call Sesil 8 TIMES before he picked up. He said "delays can happen" and there was no fault on his end. The mover came, would not allow my friend to inspect the items, and made her pay before he started the move. Because she had to go back to work, she could not be present for the entire move. It was ONE guy unloading my entire delivery and he said it would take 2-3 hours. I think the pictures of my move speak for themselves. I came home to absolute carnage. Upon unpacking my items, so many things were destroyed and had to be thrown out, including an entire treadmill, two tables, countless photos, glassware, bowls, etc. I also am missing a ski bag containing 2 pairs of skis, an entire box containing oil paintings I was working on, and two boxes of valuables including jewelry. I contacted the company and the driver, absolute radio silence. I ended up filing a police report, reports with the Better Business Bureau, Department of State, and I am hiring a lawyer to go after this company. I truly do not wish this experience upon anyone else, and all I can say is that I hope justice is served. I would never, ever recommend this company. If anything, I would warn them against using Bentley moving. 1. We were told our movers would call 30 minutes before arrival. This did not happen. 2. I was repeatedly told that our belongings would come in up to 14 business days. However, our mileage actually put us in the 21 business day category. This shows that their employees do not understand the contract or who they are talking to. 3. It has been 40 days, and our belongings have not even left the state. We receive $30 a day now for late delivery, we seems so incredibly mediocre. To top it off, the person I talked to tried to tell me that we got paid $20 a day. Apparently this company can be over a month late and still get paid. 4. I have been misled numerous times. I have been told someone will call me back before the day ends, and that never happens. I have been given my hopes up by someone saying our stuff should be getting on a truck, and it never happens. Never would recommend this moving company!! I lost over $10,000. They claim an employee took my money as I was making my payments. They said they would file the police report they did not! By a miracle I received my household goods but many things are missing. I asked for compensation they gave me a phony email to apply now they don't answer my calls and it's just sad how they ripped off a widow over 10 grand plus I had to pay to get my furniture to my new location, it was a horrible experience and I cannot believe they're getting away with this. read more

We moved across country and were told we'd have our stuff within 7 days. It's been 7 days and all of our belongings are still in the same place we left them. We're sleeping on air mattresses, we have no furniture, none of our belongings and keepsakes, everything I need to start a new job in 3 days hasn't even left the state we moved from. We've been trying to contact anyone to give us information and all we've gotten is radio silence. Right now we're contemplating calling the authorities, no only to make sure these people didn't steal all the possessions we own but to make sure there wasn't an accident. read more

They are abusive towards elderly people by taking their property hostage, my friend moved herself and her husband who's in really bad health and they charged them over four thousand dollars then wanted another three thousand to unload the truck, which they are on the bottom floor of the apartments, they weren't able to pay more, her sewing business is in that truck so there goes her business and they packed her purse which they won't give back! Wow! Was told they would arrive between 9-11am. Called at noon, dispatcher said the truck had maintenance issues so it was two hours out. No call from them on the delay, took calling ten times to get ahold of anyone. Truck showed up at 3:30, movers did an ok job. Got to the destination point and then the price went up & it went from paying by cc to cash only! Talked to the "manager" & didn't care one bit. Oh and by the way the driver confirmed there was no maintenance issue with the truck, they got another order and the manager told him to push my confirmed delivery back, once again no communication at all. Do NOT use this company! More than half of our household goods did not show up at our new address. It took them three months to get what they did take to our new address. They came to our old address at 8:30 PM and told us that they could only take a few things because they ran out of square footage in their van, even though we had already paid for the whole house. They left so much! They also left our house in shambles. All of our family photos and videos are gone. We are heartbroken! We put in a claim for the things that weren't taken, and requested to be reimbursed $15,000 (we had pictures and values on each item). We settled for much less on February 23. It is now May 21, and we still have not received our settlement amount. They do not answer the phone and do not return our calls. This company operates on the quintessential definition of bait and switch. They gave me a quote for $7K, which I knew could go up. They then raised it to $9K, which was fine, and loaded all my furniture (breaking and damaging a significant portion of my items). Upon arrival, they refused to unload my property unless I paid them a total of $22K **IN CASH**!!! They literally held my furniture and clothing hostage and I felt stuck and helpless. I asked to speak with supervisors but they declined and just hung up on me, telling me to pay the ransom or lose my entire household of property. I understand the moving is not an exact science, but it is beyond disingenuous to quote 1/3 of what the final cost is, especially when I had an employee walk through my home and measure all the items and told me it would only be $9K after the phone estimate of $7K. If they had told me, I would not have used this company, which they know, hence the lie. It is immoral, unethical, and should be illegal to take advantage of customers this way. This was absolutely a bait-and-switch scheme and they charged my entire life savings as ransom. I need to be made whole, especially with the amount of damage, and I am seeking a refund of half of what I paid, which I feel is still MORE than fair, given they told me it would be $9K after doing a full in-person assessment and that it will cost me thousands to replace or repair what they damaged with neglect and carelessness. Additionally, they lied about it being employees moving me; the crew was hired off Craigslist with zero experience and it absolutely shows. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Sham company that brokerages out. They over promised and delivered absolutely nothing. They promised I'd have a 33' truck for my items as he quoted me at having over 2000 cu ft. They sent a 26' truck. They told me my stuff would be driven straight down, not moved trucks. Lies, it sat in KC and moved trucks at least once and was delivered by a different company entirely. They originally charged me for 2k cu ft, got them to come down to 1750, when that truck only holds 1664 AT BEST. They lost my check, he took a photo, i have to put a stop payment. They messed up the second check at the ATM and won't call the bank or wait for their ATM to fix it and it's MY FAULT and they demand I ZELLE them money (SCAM!!!). I put a stop payment on my second check again another fee incured by me. I have to scramble to find another truck to drive the rest of my stuff down causing me unneeded stress that a moving company was supposed to fix for me. They charged me $75 for "packing materials" to pack my glass hutch....they took MY BOX from the garage and used it and used all the same stuff for the furniture. This is not really a moving company they hire out, and when they get there, the person in charge of the vehicle change the prices, almost double the care and quality of service is not very good when trying to make contact with Bentley Moving And Storage I tried for eight days and I was only able to contact them one time and I called them several times each day. On the first day that they were supposed to pick up they canceled after they had already missed their appointment time saying that their truck is full and they could not fit my product and changed me to eight days later instead of taking care of me, they gave me a small reduction of the price which they had already increased the day before by three on the cell phone call of product pick up . This was really bad because I had already removed all of my frozen goods from my freezers believing that they were going to pick up my household goods deliver them and then I could turn around and put it back in the freezer instead I had to go get a trailer, pack, my freezer out of my house myself and take it to my new house so that I could put my frozen goods away before they spoiled, and by the time I finally got that done some of the frozen goods had already thawed out . On the second time they came to pick up they informed me after I had already traveled over 100 miles that they weren't gonna be able to do it until the next day their appointment was between eight and 10 AM. They did not inform me until it was almost 12 o'clock for this they gave me no reimbursement. They informed me that they would pick me up the next day between 8 and 10 AM. They did not show up at 10 they called and said they would be there between 10 and 12 then again they did not show up until after 1 o'clock. so during this whole move, I had traveled over 800 miles with my vehicle, and a trailer and received it. Minimal reimbursement .This is not a very good way to treat your customers. read more
