I had nine pieces of furniture to donate to a charity (Goodwill). James and Brenden were exceptional movers. They arrived when they said they would and they were both smiling and extended their hands when I greeted them at the door. We were off to a good start! The furniture was in my lower level and most items were very heavy and bulky. I have a fairly narrow staircase and steep stairs. They handled moving the items with great care. They were very professional but what struck me the most was how friendly, considerate, and respectful they were. That kind of attitude goes a long way with me. They worked efficiently and got the job done in less than 1 1/2 hours. I hope the owner of the company appreciates how outstanding James and Brenden are. If I could give 10 stars, I would. I needed a last minute haul away of a couch to make room for a bed for my 90 year old mom who was coming home to assisted living from the hospital. I called numerous companies many of whom do not answer their phones and many who charged fees as if we were moving an entire house and even some that were attempting to earn a weeks wages in one job! After a local furniture store messed up and didn't include my paid-for setup and removal from my order of a new mattress and box spring, I had to find a way to dispose of a king-sized set. Junk-It offered the best price and a schedule to fit my needs. The biggest bonus of their work was they would actually come into the house (masked, of course, at this time of COVID) and remove the mattress/springs. I spoke with Ryan before he came to my house, telling him what I had to be removed. Well his "bigger truck" took barely any of my items. I felt that the items he left behind could of been put in the truck and the slash/branches stuffed in after. Also, he said he forgot to bring his trash bags therefore he couldn't finish picking up the slash pile. He said he'd come back and get everything else, at an additional full truck charge. I spent $650 and he took an old 60 in tv, the wood frame of a captains bed with drawers (taken apart), broken screen door, one outdoor chair and a pile of pine tree branches. (Leaving behind a big pile of needles). He said the slash filled his truck. He had his saw with him and could of used it on the branches. Enough to fit in an old lawn mower, small stereo cabinet, and small kids game table (legs removed). Also should of offered to come back and finish the slash pile at no charge since he forgot his trash bags. I was charged $650 for a full truck when it wasn't full. He had said ahead of time he could cut up an old hot tub and take it too. But now if I want the other items done he'll charge another $650 to get them. I might get the hot tub not fitting but his original quote had covered all my other items-4 of which he didn't get. Plus the slash pile still looks bad sitting there when I thought it would look cleaned up. I think he was bummed he drove as far as he did (I live in the foothills) but I'd told him this ahead of time and he said he'd looked it up on his map so he can't blame me. Very disappointed and would not recommend this business to anyone. read more
