She did airbrush for all of us, and the makeup lasted all night, which is saying a lot since I did not leave the dance floor. I also did a makeup trial prior to the wedding. There she answered all my questions and listened to my ideas and vision for my look. She is very knowledgeable, and I knew I would be in good hands on my wedding day! She exceeded all of our expectations, and kept us looking natural and the best versions of ourselves :) She took all of our preferences and also guided us to step out of our comfort zone a little, since it's best a have a little more makeup than usual so you don't wash out in pictures. Not only is Rachel incredibly talented she also is very calm and was great to have the morning of. None of us ever felt rushed, which helped alleviate stress. My bridesmaids and I all agree that she made us feel flawless and really accentuated our natural beauty. We did airbrush for our foundation and it lasted from 5:30 am to 10 pm (when the reception was over). We all had lashes put on and they looked perfect (and came off that evening with no problems). To top everything off, Rachel has a wonderful personality and was very professional. She was very kind and thoughtful throughout our entire session. Her work ethic was phenomenal... we finished our hair and make-up early which put me even more at ease before the wedding. I definitely recommend Rachel for any make-up requests!

My hair came out pretty, but it wasn't what I asked for. - Cut: The layers weren't done well so it sort of resembles a long mullet at times...kind of a mushroom shape effect. Feels like I have only 2 layers I'm descent with hair so can mask it a bit with curls. - The highlights are fine but they are old school/ going to root all over and not the ballyage effect I asked for. That said, they were blended nicely. - The color is red/orange which bothers me more than the cut. I said multiple times I didnt want red or warm... my whole head, not just the highlights, got toned a fairly strong red hugh. I invested in blue and purple shampoos trying to tone it down. It helped a bit. I did give her feedback but I don't want to go back to get it fixed because I've been back once already and I'm not confident in her ability to fix it at this point. She did offer to try again. I think i gotta wait this one out a few months and then get a trim and/or tone from someone else. Facility was cute and clean, free parking out back. Waited a month to give the review as I wanted to give it time to settle in.

I had nothing on my agenda in West Garden Grove, saw a banner advertising $40 for 45 minutes, and thought... why not treat myself? Best. Decision. Ever. I walked in without an appointment and was warmly greeted by Tracy (easy to remember). I let her know I was a walk-in, and they graciously took me right in. She showed me to a changing room where I was given a basket for my belongings and a cozy robe to change into. Already feeling relaxed! Once I was settled on the spa bed, the pampering began. They wrapped my feet in warmers and placed a warm pad on my chest -- instant comfort. Holly started with a gentle cleanse of my face, neck, and chest while warm steam flowed over my skin. It felt amazing. Then came the head massage (the dreamy head scratch everyone talks about!) followed by more neck and shoulder massage with hot stones. At some point I definitely drifted off -- which tells you how relaxing it was -- but I remember cool stones placed on my face, more soothing massage, and the grand finale: my hair being washed and conditioned with the most refreshing scents. When the session ended, I sat up to cool, invigorating lotion on my back and shoulders before getting dressed. As if that wasn't enough, she led me downstairs and blow-dried my hair to finish everything off perfectly. Tracy explained that longer sessions include hand, arm, and foot massages... and now I'm already planning my next visit. This was the perfect introduction to head spas. If you've been curious like I was -- go. I'm officially hooked!

Which is why I called them on a whim and got an appointment right away that next day. The stylist (I will not name her because she already gave me a full refund) was very sweet and we had great conversations. The cut ended up being mostly what I wanted but my curtain bangs were not even. I went to a gathering the next day and couldn't take it- so I texted her saying I need to get it fixed. She let me come in. Then the nightmare starts. I told her exactly what I wanted to be fixed. Just even out the left bang with the right. She starts going at my hair and grabs so much more than the curtain bang area...basically taking the full top part of my hair throughout the hairline and cutting it in such an odd angle. I have never seen it in my life and I get cuts regularly for layers. At the end she started curling and I told her I didn't want her to curl it because I wanted to see the hairstyle without it done. She said she would just do the ends, but she proceeded to do the whole head and I'm just appalled at this point. I went out with a curled head of hair and showed disappointment in my reactions but she said that as long as I style it it'll look good. I went in wanting a low maintenance haircut and now I have to curl it all the time?! I flew back to where I lived and couldn't take it anymore. My hair looked horrible. I asked for my money back and she gave the refund. Just a warning everyone- please please do your research and know that although you'd expect this salon to have good stylists, they don't.
