Salon 25 is our new hair home! From the moment we walked in the door, you could tell the positive vibe and happy staff was genuine. Everyone was so happy and welcoming. Vanessa took me as a walk-in yesterday and transformed my hair. She was quick to show me inspiration pics after I told her what I wanted and so thorough in making sure my hair was exactly how I wanted it. I was so impressed I brought my daughter back to her today and again, Vanessa was able to give her exactly what she wanted. After watching all them stylists yesterday and today, I'm convinced I could book with anyone there and be happy with the results. So many smiling faces and amazing cuts/styles! We'll be back and recommending this salon to everyone! Highlights: The salon experience starts as soon as you walk in the door, being offered something to drink. During the shampoo, you receive a hot towel scalp and neck massage (this was AMAZING). Everyone is friendly, not just the stylist you are seeing and the owners are engaged and kind toward their staff. The pricing on their website matches what you are given on the menu cards in the salon. They are busy in a good way, lots of chairs full of happy people. I came in wanting a haircut, plain and simple. I don't really do much to my hair so I didn't want it styled. It has been a while since I've had a haircut. Chris was immediately welcoming. We discussed what I wanted and that's exactly what I got. The shampoo session was divine. The salon is large and clean with several stations. It was a Saturday morning, and the place was hopping. It was a pleasure chatting with Chris during the haircut, and an equal pleasure to meet his wife Vanessa. The price was right. read more

Bella was great. Gentle, thoughtful, thorough, communicated every step she took and what she was doing. I sent my hair inspo (there was about 4) prior to my appt and she acknowledged and remembered all details from the image. Since the inspos were slightly different with face framing on some and not others she made sure to ask if I wanted the same face framing trim. I requested for about 4 inches off the back. My hair looks great and I am very happy with the outcome. Also appreciate the salon 25 was able to squeeze me in last minute. Thank you!!! read more

Today was my second visit here, and let me just say, everyone here is incredible! At my first visit, I had just come from another hairdresser, and I was crying because I hated the haircut they had given me. When I arrived at Salon 25, there was no availability but the owner, Vanessa, saw me in shambles and decided to step in and see me ON HER DAY OFF! Thank the heavens for this angel! She was so sweet and kind and knew how to fix my hair right away. I knew I was coming back to her. At my second visit, I was pampered!!! I got a wash, haircut, and some tips on how to take care of my hair! I left feeling way better than when I walked in. It's amazing how hair can transform your attitude! I went to Salon 25 for the first time yesterday and 10/10 recommend! I hadn't had a haircut in a long time and was nervous, but I took a chance and I'm so glad I did. Tracy was my stylist and did an amazing job from start to finish. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I was comfortable with the length before cutting. I showed her a reference photo, and she immediately understood my vision, and she checked in with me throughout the process to make sure I was happy. She also gave me a scalp massage and a hot towel with essential oils, which was very relaxing. I also added a hair gloss and I love how my haircut turned out. I will definitely be returning to Tracy. Wow...Wow...Wow.. that had to be the best hair salon I have been to in my 46 year old existence. Christie (Stylist) went above and beyond! Not only by her excellent expertise with the beautiful color of my hair that I absolutely, love but by her excellent customer service to make me feel so comfortable and relaxed. As I waited for the 20+ mins to let my color sit, I used the massage chair and foot massager and was blown away by how relax I was. She was always offering me a beverage or a snack and just concerned about me. I highly recommend this Salon and Christie is an amazing beautiful soul inside and out. And the prices are so great. I cannot say enough good things about my experience! After not stepping foot in a salon for way too long, I was honestly nervous walking in. But the moment I sat in Christie's chair, I felt completely at ease. She is not only incredibly talented with hair, but also one of the most genuine, friendly, and down-to-earth stylists I've ever met. She took the time to listen to what I wanted, gave me thoughtful suggestions, and somehow managed to deliver exactly what I was hoping for (and honestly, better!). On top of that, her warm personality made the whole appointment feel more like catching up with a good friend than sitting through a salon visit. Not to mention the relaxing scalp massage, which I've never had! I left feeling comfortable, confident, and so happy with my hair. I will be bringing my Daughter and Husband in. Everyone was super genuine and nice! I was greeted by Chris as I came in and within a few minutes I was seated. Vanessa took her time listening to my concerns and what I wanted since I was going from long hair to a super short cut. She took the time to listen to previous bad haircuts I had gotten because the other salons didn't understand my wavy hair texture and made recommendations. Then Lynn shampooed and massaged my hair and it was super relaxing. It felt like attending a family get together and everyone was funny and conversational. After the haircut, Vanessa really took the time to show me how to style my hair and what products she used to get the low maintenance short hair look. All in all it was a wonderful experience. Established in 2007.

Vanessa, an Orange County native, is a 2001 graduate of Paul Mitchell the School Costa Mesa, CA. Chris, originally from Chicago, IL., graduated from Paul Mitchell the School Honolulu, HI in 2007. They had a dream of creating a place where guests can have a great time and a place their stylists can call a second home. Together, they built Salon 25.

On the day of my appointment, Grace greeted me and I was seated immediately. I brought reference photos for the type of curl pattern that I wanted. Grace asked me some questions about my desired curl pattern and explained that she would be trimming my hair so that I could have more volume. My hair is flat so I agreed with her suggestion. Once my hair was trimmed and we discussed the curl pattern, she began the perming process. She talked me through the process of the curly perm and helped me feel comfortable during my appointment. It was busy that day but Grace always made time to checked on me. My appointment was about two hours long and I loved the way hair looked when she was finished. Grace gave me amazing tips on how to maintain the volume and curls, and recommended some products for me to use. She said that I could any products that I'm comfortable with, but I decided to purchase the shampoo, hair treatment, and hair moisture curl that was available at her salon. I used her products for my first hair wash, and my curls still look amazing. I'm definitely going to be buying more from her salon. I had a good experience at Glamourous Hair Salon. Grace has great customer service skills, and is very knowledgable about curl perms and hair. I love my curls and I will be back.

I booked the custom facial, and it was such a relaxing experience. They exfoliated my skin, did red light therapy, and several other treatments (I honestly had my eyes closed most of the time because I was so relaxed!). The facial, neck, and shoulder massage was amazing and made the whole experience even better. Nancy did an incredible job with the extractions and really took the time to remove a lot of my blackheads. My skin feels incredibly smooth, looks so much more even, and has such a healthy glow. I could see and feel the difference immediately. Since I was already there, I also decided to get my eyebrows waxed and my nails done, and I was happy with both services. It ended up being the perfect self-care day. Everyone was kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable throughout my visit. I'll definitely be coming back to keep up with my skincare. I had been growing out my hair for about 7 months when I finally decided to get a haircut by Vanessa a little over a month ago; this was my second visit to her. I saw her, by chance, for the first time in January after having received a bad haircut from someone else- Vanessa seemed to understand what needed to be done, and she did a good job in fixing that cut, so I figured it should be safe to see her again for a haircut. Well... I was wrong. I guess looking back on that first visit, I could've seen just about anybody, because at that point, any haircut from anyone else would have been an improvement on the bad cut I received. I also wish I knew about yelp* before going to Salon 25 this second time around, then I would've read the reviews and realized that Chris V. is really the guy to go to. 20/20 hindsight, right? Anyway, I showed Vanessa a picture of what I wanted, and explained to her in detail how I wanted the cut to look, AND... what I also didNOT want. I let her know BEFORE cutting to let the layers from the crown come down longer, and to NOT thin out my hair. She seemed to know what she was doing because she kept the layers nice and long in the front and on the sides; these are the areas of my head that I could see in the mirror as she was cutting, so I had no reason to believe that she would cut the back up any differently. (I wish I had a mirror situated somewhere behind me so that I could've seen what she was doing back there to stop her before any significant amount of damage was done.) When she was done cutting my hair, she took a mirror and showed me what she did in the back... I was mortified. I wanted to cry. She thinned the hell out of it AND cut the layers at the top of the back so short, starting them way up high that I ended up looking like a Japanese teenie bopper with an extended mullet cut! -definitely NOT the look i was going for. I didn't understand how, or why she did that. I just kept my cool, didn't really say much, paid her anyway, and tipped her well, because she's very nice. I actually went back the next morning to have her trim a little bit more from the bottom of the back, thinking it would make the layers at the top appear a little longer and thicker, but it really didn't make much of a difference. I'll have to wait several months again for the hair from the top of my head to grow out. I'm not happy about this, as my hair (when it's cut right) is the only part of me that I'm confident about, physically. With a bad cut, I end up feeling extremely self-conscious, and my self-esteem is all but obliterated. I give Salon 25 two stars, instead of one, because Vanessa is a very nice person who made a concerted attempt to try to fix the problem. Unfortunately, despite her efforts, I'm stuck with a bad haircut for the next several months-- I know I will never go back there again for a cut. From reading another review on here (see 9/19/2008), it seems like Vanessa should be a little more conservative when employing any thinning/cutting methods, be keen on listening to what the client wants (very important), and be certain before snipping away, that the client is aware of and comfortable with the amount of hair she plans to take off-- maybe giving a run-through of how she's gonna cut the hair before she actually cuts it might help. read more

The hype is true! This is absolutely THE BEST PLACE for a haircut at a price that won't break your bank account in the OC. The salon itself is uniquely decorated and creates a funky ambience that makes you want to chillout with one of their complimentary drinks and take in all the fabulousity! The service is excellent, and the attention is customized to you. The skill that they're stylists exude is bar-none. The staff is so friendly, it's hard not fo feel like family. Throughout my whole life in Orange County- about 30 years, it was always an elusive thing trying to find a salon that would give me a stylish/modern haircut without costing upwards of $60. I did the Carlton/Regis thing, and it was way too expensive to keep going there. I would go once a year, but would look horrible doing the default ponytail/bun 'do throughout the in between stage of getting the haircuts. Then, getting tired of the ponytail/bun 'do default , I'd go to the other places where it was affordable, but there was a communication issue and I'd be disappointed with the FOBULOUS translation of my not so "friend"ly Rachel shag... Now, I've finally found a place where I can finally reconcile getting a great haircut without having to take out a loan for looking good! I totally trust my stylist extraordinaire, Vanessa Adarna! I sit down in the chair, and tell her to do what she wants... she asks me a few questions about the upkeep I want to deal with, the look I'm going for, how much time I have for it, etc. She then works her magic and my hair always turns out great! By the way, for you hair-fixing neophytes, if you're looking to look a specific way everyday and haven't figured out how to get there, she helps you out by showing and telling you how to style your hair, and also explains which products would work best for what look. This then gives you the tools to recreate the "just walked out of the salon" look everyday after! I think that's another great thing about going to this salon, is they teach you how to upkeep your new 'do. By the way, this last haircut I got has attracted a ton of compliments! (Thanks, Vanessa!) And what's super great about it is it only takes me a towel dry, 30-seconds of the hairdryer, and if I'm feeling fancy, a few strokes of the straightener and I'm good to go! I can do this all while my kids are putting on their socks and shoes for school! Vanessa's a pint-sized gal with style and skillz! She's got an awesome personality, a mind for business, and provides outstanding service to her clients. Not to mention, she's a St. Joseph's alumnus who's made us all very proud! Make sure if you want to BE STYLISH at a price that's stimulating for your wallet, SEE VANESSA at Salon 25. And be sure to tell her Joan's novel-like review got you there! ;) read more

A couple of weeks ago, I took one of my friends with me to Salon.25 and finally have her experience everything I've been raving about for so long. Unfortunately, Vanessa and Chris were very busy that day so we had the good fortunes of having Nancy take care of my friend. And how did she take care of my friend! From what I gander from the interaction between my friend and Nancy at the get-go, Nancy is really a great listener and gives great advice about hair in general. She's one of those no-non-sense gal that will be honest with you and give you the feedback you need. She'll listen to what you want and she'll execute very well! My friend definitely needed Nancy's honesty, and it paid off! Her hair looked so much lighter, had tons of texture and layers, and at the same time kept the length of her hair. I don't know how she did but I swear to you it was like magic! Nancy did a fabulous job on her hair and we highly recommend her to anyone that's looking for an honest, straight-forward stylist with great attitude and amazing cutting skills! DO NOT WORK HERE I used to work at this salon as a receptionist and it was the worst experience ever. The owners are cool but the issues I had was working with the entitled hair stylists. When I was hired here I was hired to be their receptionist. But the stylists make you do all of their work. They treat you like you are their maid when half of the time the work you do IS THEIRS. I would get to work and the stylists make you clean up all of their work and stations when they had all day to do it. Especially with the stylist Heidy. She treats you as if she is some hot shot and make you get drinks for HER clients and she treats you as if you are help like shes some elite stylist when shes JUST a hair stylist lmao my bad. And never mind the fact of favoritism of hours. There were four receptionists and one of them was a daughter to a stylists and unfairly got all of the hours. Unless you want to work here and get mistreated go right ahead. Working with their ghetto stylists was the biggest mistakes of my life and a waste of time. I've been to couple salons before and I've never been treated so graciously in my entire life. From the moment I walked in the door there was this sense of hominess to the whole place. Everyone greeted me, the receptionist (Patrick is the best (super funny and informative), and all of the stylists are very talented. My haircut started out with a consultation. Never had one before ... Other places should do this. Next was a shampoo and a scalp massage. All included with the price of the haircut. Best massage in my life. Thanks Nancy. It was so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Nancy took her time with my haircut unlike most places that try to do it as fast as possible just so they can get you out of there and move on to the next person. I've gone back a couple times since then and tried many of the other stylists. All of them are amazing, friendly, funny, and super talented at their craft. I had the pleasure to get my hair done by Bella here at Salon 25. She was so sweet and made me so comfortable. My hair was bleached and colored poorly at home and Bella was able to fix it and make me feel good again! We are still going to work on it more in future appointments since she really values your hair health. The salon itself is great. The environment is lively and all the other stylist were kind. I was offered refreshments and even food since I was there for 5 hours. The place is well lit, clean, organized, and nicely decorate. Bella is literally AMAZING and she charges good. I found her on tiktok and at the time she was giving free gloss treatment to people that found her there, so that was awesome to get too! When she washed out my color and massaged my head, it felt like heaven. I was really taken care of there by her. Definitely recommend this salon and Bella. read more

heard of this place through word of mouth. a good hair place is hard to find, and ive been searching. in the past ive been to the mall, private salons, but i wasnt ever even 75% happy. at salon 25 i am above the 100%. the tea tree oil shampoo, head massage and overall treatment was great. they even gave me water and they have ample reading material. vanessa did my hair and explained everything she was doing. her expertise showed off in the finished result. its a little pricey but its completely worth it to have great hair and great treatment. you pay for part of the experience, which is something i dont mind. i got so many compliments and of course ive spread the word. ill never go anywhere again read more

So i decided to check this place out since it's near my house, but what a big mistake. The head massage was bomb.com but I was not happy at all with my haircut. I didn't want to be mean so I didn't say anything and I just wanted to go home and fix my hair! My hair is pretty long for a guy (kpop style) and I asked them to trim/thin my hair about 2 inches everywhere but the stylist only did the sides, front, and the bottom part of the back. It totally looked like a bowl cut! and that is not what i asked for... and 30$ for the whole shabam? NO thanks... And it took over an hour getting a trim. Never coming again.. read more

I have been a guest at Salon 25 since 2013 and have always been very happy with the great customer service from everyone. I highly recommend you try them out. I have been going to Jessica Sanchez for quite awhile now for my color work and my cuts, she never fails to disappoint. 4.6.17 she took me from blonde to dark silvery grey with light silver and the tiniest hint of aqua, and I love it! My friend & I went in yesterday 2/11/18 into the Salon 25. We both had an appointment with Heidi. What a disaster. We both showed her pictures of how we wanted our hair. Heidi stated that she would be able to accomplish our requested result from the pictures...The end result was not even close to the pictures we showed her. We both have bright orange hair. The hairstylists there were very friendly and polite. But I am not happy with my haircut & color at all. This is the last time I trusted yelp reviews and beautiful website. I had to go to my previous salon to fix the haircut and color. I need to add the salon is located in front of the swap meet in back a very low class shopping center. I had to ask the hairstylist if it is safe to park my car. I wonder why the salon owner is spending so much money for website and yelp, but not improving the salon space and the hairstylists skills. read more
