I wanted a layered haircut and a new hair color on my previously black box dyed hair. I went for a deep red color and Lihn executed it perfectly. I went in for a consultation and strand test at first and Lihn explained how she wanted to maintain the health and quality of the color and my hair by recommending not to bleach it. We went straight in with color and like magic it seemed to have worked! She worked around my schedule and the actual appointment was great. She was so kind, offered snacks and water & made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. She also gives the most AMAZING detailed haircuts. I had a bad botched haircut from the last salon I visited and again she worked her magic and I swear it's the best haircut ive ever had!!! I was really excited to try this salon after seeing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. I reached out to Linh through Instagram and was given a few possible appointment dates. I responded quickly and selected one, but days later I was told that the spot was no longer available. I was then asked to send a photo of my hair, which I did immediately, expecting to move forward with booking. However, it took five days to receive a response--even though my message had already been seen. I completely understand that things can get busy, but clear and timely communication is really important when scheduling appointments. Came here on a whim and also because I felt like my hair was so boring and also full of split ends. So glad I did and I think for the pricing it's worth it! Granted I have shorter hair but a wash and dry included with the cut for roughly around $55 is a good deal. Plus my stylist Layla was so courteous and took good care of my hair. I put out a hair project inquiry on yelp one day prior to my hair cut and was given a response by Linh within minutes. With the cut a style I wanted, she immediately gave me a price. She further asked for more details regarding what I wanted and asked for pictures. When trying to schedule an appointment, she was very flexible with my availability and was able to schedule me an appointment with Hannah the following morning. I told them the color I wanted to achieve without using any highlights and it turned out very well! This is exactly how I imagined it. I've had experiences in other salons where they use the same color mix from my roots to tip that would show where I had the growth difference but they made sure to have separate mixes for my roots and previously colored hair. It looked so flawless and I love how it turned out. I came a bit late from my estimated appointment time but they still accommodated me and provided a hair treatment to make sure my hair is healthy. I just really had to have my hair colored that day because of my upcoming wedding. Since their reviews were high and the price seemed reasonable, I decided to give them a try and came prepared with cash and tip. The service itself was okay, and the staff were friendly. However, I was surprised when I was charged an additional $20 beyond the quoted price. I understand that pricing can change depends on hair length, but this should have been clearly communicated before starting the haircut--not at the moment of payment. I came in with an uneven bob--internal layers, my top being longer than the bottom, left side longer than the right--but I also came prepared with my wants and don't want. I was quite nervous coming in because my hair is already short and I just didn't want any stylist making any mistakes on my hair that would require me to cut it shorter than it already was. However, Hannah provided a warm welcome and really listened to what I wanted and want to avoid. She exceeded my expectations and had me leaving so much happier with my haircut. I have never written a review like this before, but I am completely devastated. I have been to this place three times before and I was satisfied. I found it the first time as a walk in and the owner was very nice and trimmed my long hair. The second time I made an appointment and decided to go shorter. Cindy cut it and I really liked it. The second time a woman named Kim cut it and I also really liked my new shorter hair. Today I went in and a different person cut my hair. I didn't get her name. I showed her the same photo that I had shown the previous two times but what I got was COMPLETELY different. I mentioned that it was short during the cut but it kept getting shorter as she went. My hair was butchered. Maybe I should have spoken up more. When I got home I took a good look in the mirror and just started crying. The first part of the appointment included a thorough consultation regarding my hair type/condition, and how we could cut and style it to meet my requests.
