Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

They are professional, keep you informed every step of the way, do great work, for a fair price, stand behind their work, and most of all are honest. I have spoken with the owner more than once, as it is family owned, and he is usually there. But one time that I spoke with him that stood out to me that they were different. My stepson's power steering stopped working. I called and I was about to have it towed in as it was parked at a restaurant. The owner got on the phone with me and asked me what year and model the car was. I told him, he asked me if the car had driven through any heavy puddles. I told him it had been raining, so I assumed so. He told me that model is notorious for the sensors getting wet and causing issues with the rack and pinion steering. He said, let it sit for a couple hours and dry out a bit. It should resolve the problem, and it did. He didn't have to tell me that. He could've let me have it towed in and just let it sit and dry and tell me he fixed it and taken me for a ride, but he didn't. That's honesty. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and to anyone else who reads this review.

I asked them to check the fluid in the differential and he told me they did. I was watching and the mechanic didn't pull a single wrench on the diff. So I decide to try again with another vehicle of mine today @ 2:30/2:45pm. I pulled in, he asked me was I there for. When I told him coolant flush he laughed and said not on a Saturday at 4: 0clock. IT was 2:30pm. He asked me to pop the hood. He made a statement someone been working on this vehicle. I told him it was me. He told me what was loose. I wasn't there for that and didn't ask him about it. He Bryan(owner) I think is his name. Proceeded to tell me how he couldn't do the job. He was rude about it. I told him close it up. He was still talking to me for some reason. At this point I wasn't going to expose myself to his attitude anymore. I guess when you own a successful business you can turn people away. I would like to mention I emailed prior to showing up. The fact that I did not get an email reply makes it worse. So your business model is laugh at a customer infront of people then tear appart how shitty of a job the vehicles owner did trying to repair it? Knew it must have been lost at the car wash because I went straight home. Called them and asked if anyone had found it. Employee said they would look and call me back. Several hours later no call. Called again and asked to speak to manager. Manager told me he "had walked the area" and did not find it. Drove back there to find it myself. Was scolded for being in empty car wash bay, only for employees. Asked the attendant that pre washes cars before going through wash bay if he had seen an outside mirror cover that had come off. He said "sure, it's right here" and handed it to me. Manager must not want happy customers because he surely didn't care about me and lied that he had actually searched for the cover. I wasn't expecting to get it vacuumed, but it really needed it. I was then able to get back in the vehicle and drive it through the car wash. I thought I would just drive out after the blowers blew the excess water off, but then another employee motioned for me to pull forward under an awning where he proceeded to hand dry the vehicle with cloth towels and dry the windows!!! Everyone was super courteous and very friendly! I'll use them again when I'm in the area! They did a great job!!!

Turns out the dealership who did the last oil change did not place a screw back correctly. The metal plate that goes under the oil pan wasn't screwed in correctly causing the dragging sound. They were able to remove the pan very quickly for me. They didn't even charge me. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Located on a main road so easy to find. I was able to get back home with no problem. If I lived there, I would use them all the time.

Which Buna kind of needed as the only other places I know of were Silsbee or further north. The new owner is very helpful and got us right in. It wasn't very busy this morning. He got my wife's car in and had the oil changed and serviced in about 10-15 minutes! The owner, Gary is the one that serviced her vehicle was very outgoing and helpful. The prices are very reasonable I thought compared to other shops. He also informed us that he is trying to get his State Inspection equipment in to start doing State Inspection's. He said all the paperwork has been turned in and processed, but he's just waiting on the state to install the needed equipment. I believe in supporting local small businesses and would like to see his business do a little better. So if you get a chance give him a try
