I had about 30 minutes for lunch and I decided to stop here. This was my first time coming here. Original ChopShop is at the end of one of two rows of business buildings in a shopping center. During lunch time on a weekday when I visited, parking spaces were hard to come by because there are many popular places to eat here. The order counter is just a few steps in front the entrance. Large menus are display are above the counter. Lots of natural light streamed through the large windows in the front of the store, and the side and ceiling of the large indoor dining area feature glass windows, making it feel like you're dining outdoors without experiencing the elements or insects. However, there is an outdoor patio if you actually do want to experience the elements and insects. The dining room was very clean. I got to Original ChopShop at around ten minutes past noon. Surprisingly, there were only about 15 people, although the restaurant can seat a whole lot more customers than that. In spite of not having that many customers, it still took 20 minutes for my order to be delivered to my table. I had ordered a grilled steak sandwich on multi-grain bread. The sandwich included grilled sirloin, caramelized onion, fontina, arugula, apple, mushroom, horseradish creme, and soy sesame sauce. The presentation was nice, but I thought the flavors were just awful, with the main flavor being "burnt." The grilled sirloin was tender, but its flavor was ruined by the caramelized onions and/or the mushroom. I was also expecting the bits of steak to be hot, but it wasn't. Something tasted really off. I had only taken one bite and that was enough. I did eat the pickle, which tasted great! I really had to leave to get to work, anyway. This was not a good experience.

Ambiance is well lit with a lot of chairs. It's located in a small plaza parking lot--there's enough spots so I don't think you would have trouble parking.

We tried to place our order from their website & after getting repeated error messages we ended up placing our order via Yelp/GrubHub. Good concept, yet the food preparation & presentation was unappealing as what we ordered was differed from the photos on their website. Our Food: My Green Papaya Slaw arrived in a condiment size container & was doused in some sort of red sauce. The Impossible Potstickers that we were looking forward to were so stuck to the container we had to tear them apart just to eat them. My Island BBQ Salad with battered, slightly fried Teriyaki Cauliflower topped with Kimchi & Seasoned Seaweed saved my portion of the order. My Daughter was 50/50 with her Loco Moco Impossible Beef Bowl - too salty even with the Brown Rice to try & balance it out. We both agreed to skip over the Avacado Mac & Cheese that resembled more of a cold, dry pasta salad. Minus the $4.99 Delivery Fee & a 15% tip, our order was not worth the $50 portion & of course price-wise. One & done.

While in the middle of a walk south on Path400 (the hiking path that follows Georgia State Route…read more400), we decided to walk to Fresh To Order on Peachtree Rd. It was on President's Day, a holiday, at about 2 pm, when we walked into F2O. The set up inside afforded a little privacy for all customers, since there were sections with different types of seating (tall stools and tall counter in one section, tables set up for groups and tables set up for up to two people) indoor, and shaded seating outside in a fenced patio. We walked close to the order counter, where an employee was helping a couple with their meal decisions. Another employee in the kitchen area noticed us looking around for menus, and she walked over to us with two menus asking, "Do you need to look at the menu?" She was so kind, and cheerfully answered our questions about a couple of menu items. When we were ready to order, we got behind the couple still at the counter, and the customer-focused employee, who gave us the menus and answered our questions, now stood behind a different area of the counter and called out to us, "I can take your order here." I ordered a full (as opposed to half) Grilled Chicken BLT Panini - fire-grilled chicken, avocado, candied peppered bacon, baby greens, tomatoes, sprouts and bacon aioli. Chips or an apple came with this meal, and I chose an apple. R ordered a Finer Combo of a half Asian Chicken Crunch Panini (almond rosemary crusted chicken, Asian slaw, avocado and chili peanut aioli) and a half Asian salad (mixed baby greens, Mandarin oranges, candied walnuts, tomatoes, avocado, sesame seeds, pickled ginger, Szechuan peanuts and crispy noodles). We were given a number to place on the table so that the employees would know where to serve our food. Our food arrived in less than 10 minutes, served on a couple of heavy duty rectangular serving plates, delivered by yet another smiling employee. Great presentations! The portions of food leaned towards the bigger side. I liked my sandwich. It was easy and had great contrasting flavors and textures. The only thing that I didn't like about this meal was that the sprouts were baby sprouts - so thin that they were like fine hairs. I'd rather have sprouts that add a crunchy texture; in contrast, these sprouts provided a mushy texture that I didn't like. It wasn't a deal breaker, though. R's enjoyed his meal, and said that his half salad was huge. The employee who originally brought us our food came by a few times to check in on us while we were eating. This was an unexpected, but very pleasant surprise to us. Toward the end of our meal, he came by again, this time to let us know that he'd be by after our meal to pick up the plates, so we didn't have to clean our table. Nice! Based on our dining experience, I recommend going to Fresh To Order for a pleasant meal!

We're fans of other healthy bowl places like Upbeet (just across the street) and gusto! The bowls/plates we had this past Monday at sweetgreen were better than what we've had over the past year from both Upbeet and gusto! I didn't expect that from sweetgreen, which is a nationwide chain with over 240 locations. In comparison, Upbeet has only two locations (Atlanta and Nashville) and gusto! is a local chain with 12 Atlanta-area locations. At this location, sweetgreen validates parking in the attached garage (behind the restaurant) for one hour. Enter the garage via Brady Ave NW. There are two entry points. From the garage, there's a breezeway with direct access to sweetgreen and Howell Mill Rd. Take your parking ticket with you so the staff can put a validation sticker on it. My wife and I dined in and had the following for dinner: * Miso Glazed Salmon ($15.95) - miso-glazed salmon, avocado, cucumbers, pickled onions, crispy onions, white rice, nori sesame seasoning and spicy cashew * Hot Honey Chicken ($14.95) - blackened chicken, warm roasted sweet potatoes, veg slaw, crispy onions, herbed quinoa, and hot honey mustard sauce plus kale * Ripple Fries + Pickle Ketchup ($4.55) - freshly cut potatoes, air-fried in avocado oil and seasoned with sea salt and herbs Jendaya prepared our order and rang us up. Not only were our bowls delicious, but she plated and presented them beautifully. My wife had a question or two since it was our first time. Jendaya was nice when answering them and explaining things. Wonderful service from her. Overall, we were impressed with how tasty and satisfying the bowls were. The ingredient combinations were really flavorful. Everything was so fresh and yummy that it didn't taste like we were eating healthy food. I was most impressed with the salmon, which was soft, moist, and quite appetizing. If only all fast-casual restaurant salmon could be this good. My wife added kale to the Hot Honey Chicken, at no extra charge. You can create custom plates/bowls/salads from scratch or you can modify existing ones on the menu. One plate and fries filled me up for dinner. My wife got full before finishing her plate. We were the only dine-in customers during our visit on Monday around 6:20pm -- not surprising since it was a Monday at dinnertime. I expect this place is busier at lunchtime. If you dine in, the bowls are different (not disposable). In the dining room, a few tables hadn't been cleaned when we sat down to eat. Also, one of the trash bins was overflowing and another was about to. During our visit, I noticed a slow, but steady stream of online and takeout customers and food delivery drivers come through. Currently, there are six sweetgreen locations in metro Atlanta, only one of which is in the burbs (Dunwoody). This Star Metals location was the fourth to open in Atlanta, on March 22, 2022. The first location opened at Ponce City Market on June 8, 2021. The company/brand started in Washington DC in 2006. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating in a cool part of town (Westside). The interior still looks new with a modern, industrial design. If you plan to visit with any regularity, sign up for sweetgreen rewards. Use the sweetgreen app and scan your QR code at checkout to get points. You get 10 points for each eligible $1 spent. At the time of writing this review, you can get Rosemary Focaccia as early as 350 points and an entree up to $18 in value at 2,500 points. Points expire 180 days (about six months) after issuance. I didn't sign up for rewards until after our visit. Using the app, I sent a picture of my receipt to sweetgreen to get points. Christell from the sweetgreen "customer experience" team responded in less than 24 hours. She added the correct amount of points to my account. Excellent online customer support. We look forward to returning.

My usual starts with arugula, romaine, and kale, then I add grilled chicken AND Norwegian salmon because apparently one protein just isn't enough for me. From there it's egg whites, hard-boiled egg, cucumber, grape tomatoes, jalapeños, pickled red onion, red bell peppers, olives, aged Parmesan, feta, crispy shallots, and Parmesan crisps. I have them mix everything with the Creamy Caesar and skip the bread. Yes, by the time I'm finished adding everything it's basically a $28 salad. LOL. But it is HUGE, filling, and has enough going on that I actually feel like I ate a meal and not some sad bowl of lettuce. What I like most about Chopt is being able to customize everything. I want spice, crunch, protein, cheese, vegetables...all of it. And somehow once they chop and mix everything together, every bite has a little bit of everything in it. The Buckhead location is convenient when I'm in the area and want something quick that still feels like an actual meal. Could I build a cheaper salad somewhere else? Absolutely. Would it have my salmon, chicken, two kinds of egg, two cheeses, olives, jalapeños, crispy shallots AND Parmesan crisps? Probably not.

The salmon was cooked around medium and was really nice, especially for a place that has the ease and convenience of quick-service food but tastes much more farm-to-table. However, I'm from a city with a strong African food influence, so for me, the jollof was simply food for sustenance. It filled the need, but it wasn't particularly memorable. The menu is very friendly to pescatarians, vegans, and vegetarians, and the staff was patient and helpful in explaining the dishes and their ingredients. The restaurant itself is spacious, comfortable, and inviting. The price point is also reasonable, especially for a mall location. Would I intentionally return? Probably not. But if I were with a group that chose Flower Child, I could definitely find something on the menu and enjoy the atmosphere.
