Two stars... one for the cozy "real person's house" ambience, and the other for the pleasant…read moreconversation with the early-middle-aged attendant (can't call her a "therapist"; see below). Three stars off because this place has no real reason to exist. First, if you see the business's Craigslist ads, you will notice a few elements that might give you the wrong idea about this place: - Ads feature multiple pictures of revealingly-clad, voluptuous young women; - Customers are advised that they have their choice of "5 Massuses (sic) daily"; - The ads mention the availability of a "table shower"; - The listings state that "Extra Services" are available and "we do everything"; - "Nuru massage" (ahem; look it up) is supposed to be available. If you think that all of these elements may be designed to lead prospective customers to think that something other than plain old massage goes on here, don't worry! Nothing "extra" happens at this place, there was only one (decently clothed, mature) "Massuse" (not 5) when I showed up, the place has no table shower, and no mention of "nuru" was made during my visit. Know what else was missing, though? Any semblance of an actual massage! As mentioned above, the 40-something attendant is a pleasant woman, but she is most definitely NOT a "masseuse"; she appears to have little (if any) knowledge of therapeutic massage techniques. She oils you up, then proceeds to drag her hands across your body -- ineffectually -- for about an hour. So, to sum up: Those hoping for a real massage will be disappointed, as will those who are hoodwinked by the ads into believing that this is a place for more, erm, adventurous activity. So no one will be happy... except, perhaps, the proprietor of this useless "spa", when he or she pockets your money.

We were getting eye contact from him after just a few sessions. The eye contact was meaningful - we "felt" him actually looking at us; it was like he finally knew that we were in the room with him and that we loved him. We have been with Rose for about a year now. During the spring and early summer, she kept saying that there was something wrong with my son's jaw. We started seeing a new speech therapist in July. The new speech therapist quickly diagnosed the problem: a weak jaw. Between Rose and the new speech therapist, my son went from barely being able to say a few words (single understandable words - such as apple) in June to talking in 3-4 word phrases (phrases that other people can understand) by the end of October. If you have an autistic child, I strongly encourage you to consider weekly sessions with Rose.

If your child is autistic, definitely consider Rosemary. First, early intervention therapy achieved minimal eye contact with my son. After about three sessions with Rose, my husband and I received 5-10 seconds of meaningful eye contact from our son. Being able to focus and look at us while we spoke for more than a second was a big accomplishment. Second, Rosemary knew that my son had jaw issues. Once we found an excellent private speech therapist, we learned that my son's jaw was weak (so Rosemary was proven correct). His tongue was doing all the work, so word pronunciation was near impossible. The speech therapist commenced strengthening exercises and Rosemary supported this by working on areas that affected him mouth. Within two weeks, words started pouring out of his mouth. He is improving faster than anyone anticipated; I firmly believe it is the combination of excellent therapy (OT, speech, and ABA) with Rosemary one time per week. Side Note: my husband said that if I stopped cranio sacral therapy for our son that he would divorce me. We were never the type of people that would believe that this type of therapy would make a difference....but our son's clear and convincing results speak for themselves.
