I am a native Westsider and have yet to find a more reliable, honest and communicative mechanic in…read morethe area. I was recommended Cheviot Auto Care by my lawnmower repairman, so I definitely trust his opinion of mechanic skills. I brought in my Honda CR-V because it needed an overall tune-up. They are busy so it's best to call and make an appointment or bring the car and get a mechanic to check out a certain concern. You can either drop the car off at night and leave the key in a safe or bring it in the AM. The mechanics who work here know what they are doing - they checked my car thoroughly and made sure to keep me informed throughout. The entire process was super easy. When I dropped the car off, we reviewed the history of the car and my concerns. Then, the mechanic (Tom, whom I highly recommend!!) called me to give me updates. Overall the price was fair, the work was done quickly, and they were very detail oriented.

I came to this small mechanic so that I may support a local business and help out my community in…read moresome small way. I can safely say that after the experience I had at this location that not only will I never support them again, but refuse to use any local mechanic shop in the future. I brought my 2009 Ford Taurus to diagnose the stuttering in my engine. After a few days of waiting, since apparently they only have one part-time mechanic who works only on weekends, they were able to figure out that my engine was misfiring due to some bad ignition coil. I paid them $145 total, $40 of that being labor, just for them to buy an ignition coil that I could have gotten cheaper 2 minutes up the road at Autozone, drive my car around a single block without a misfire, reset the codes, and pretend that they fixed my car. At the time of this review, they still have not refunded me. This review will stay up until they do.
